Under 11s: This game saw us hit the road to Glencoe. Aer another wet start and a lot of wind the boys ball handling skills were again put to the test but were able to show us that all their hard work at trainings has paid off. As we approach the last games of the season it’s great to be able to see how the boys skills and development have come along way. Huey was very strong all game with his tackling skills while Toby again displayed his strength taking several contested marks in wet condions. Again all the boys should be super proud of their game they played extremely well as a team. Best players were Huey Harding (Intersport voucher), Archie Gillin (presidents award), Coby Brant (coaches award), Bill Ellis (club award), Jack McKenzie (Brant family award) and Harry Collins (Donut King award). Rest up for the bye and looking forward to seeing you all at home for our Kalangadoo game.

Junior Colts: Hail, rain & sunshineanother great day for footy as we travelled to Glencoe. I asked the team to focus on maintaining possession of the footy as much as possible. They did well, and we saw a few passages of possession footy, but there are sll plenty of skills to connue developing. Defensive pressure was good, and even if it's a lile, I am seeing confidence grow when the kids need to tackle. We just need to really step up in our chase and tackle. At training we watched some of our previous games. I wanted the kids to see themselves play and then focus on what they did well and what they could do beer. I hope they found this useful. Awards went to Noah von Stanke-Dowie (Lucas Family Award), Havana Beard (Spot On Fishing), Hunter Bingham (Aussie Disposals), Jordan Collins (Janeway Plumbing), Samuel McInnes (Club Voucher) and Lola Geddes (Paradise Pizza).

Senior Colts: Taking on the ladder leaders in tough wintry condions was always going to be a challenge and to the credit of our group they stuck at it all game. Like most weeks we began well with our intensity around the ball and our contest work strong. We were able to create an arm wrestle and went into the first break in touch with the opposion. The second quarter saw us kicking into the breeze and despite defending strongly it was difficult to move the ball out of the back half. With the ball camped in our back 50 for long periods, our lads did well to limit the score against and prevent a scoreboard blowout. Our ball movement improved in patches during the third term and we benefited on the scoreboard from some fast breaks out of our back half. Our lads baled hard in the

last and while the final margin was 78 points our effort across the 4 quarters was consistent and we stuck at the prematch instrucons for longer. Value awards went to Blake Telford (MT Wheels), Ryan Lucas (Mahew’s Petroleum), Jobe Janeway (Mick Mullan Plumbing), Toby McKinnon (DA’Leni Meats), Drew Paerson (Coaches Award) and Samuel Ruwoldt (Badenochs Deli).

B Grade: Scoreboard doesn’t always reflect effort and this was the case against a good Glencoe ouit. We have a lot of young talent learning the ropes. Not just senior colts but first year senior players who are finding their feet. Ability and effort can’t be quesoned, it is just understanding the subtlees of the game and what to do without the ball and how best to use it when we have it that is the next step in the process. It connues to improve and the bigger picture is something we are trying to focus on. ‘The we is more important than the me’ philosophy is what we are trying to achieve. Cohen Janeway is playing exceponal football. Mark Paech connues to be a rock down back. Samuel Whitehead’s progression as a footballer connues to impress all around him. Jacko Bald put together an amazing second half of football that included ball winning and outstanding tackling by a 15 year old who has a big future. Paul Ellis connues to be a rock down back whilst ensuring the coach is kept on his toes during speeches. Adam Prosperi-Porta connues to bring his own football to the game. They were the award winners and we thank Collins Court Butchers, The Commercial Hotel, BCF, Mitre 10, Pick Ave Deli and the club for their connued support of our players.

A Grade: The boys had some great passages of play, showing a lot of potenal with quite a bit of switching and good ball use. We had just as much if not more than Glencoe, but just couldn't seem to hit the scoreboard hard. Young Will von Stanke played well on a wing creang plenty of dash. Bohdi Pannenburg was strong down back which is a new posion for him, but he held down the fort well. TJ Hunter gave us a target up foward as well as Lukey Mac, who managed to put a few on the board for us. Hopefully we can carry the momentum swing into the next game and connue to play well. Awards went to Bodhi Pannenburg (Collins Court Butcher), Ethan Norman (Commercial Hotel), TJ Hunter (BCF), Will von Stanke (Club Voucher), Ryan Lucas (Pick Ave Deli) and Sjaakie Duivenvoorde (Club Voucher).

What beer way to welcome past premiership players for the '82, '83 & '84 reunion that in near prefect condions as we look to take on the Murphies back on our home deck. With a healthy crowd in the gates early the results were split for the day, but we were entertained with some quality football across all grades.

Thanks goes to our Junior Game Day Sponsors Autocare Mt Gambier, Rarcoola Structural, The Rocks Shop, MT Wheels & 3MP as game day sponsors and weekly award sponsors in – The Roadhouse, Country Atude, Spot On, Bunnings, Aussie Disposals, Sorrentos, OK Pie Shop, KD's Deli, Intersport, Doughnut King, Wendy's, McDonalds, Compton Street Bakers Delight & Boost Juice and Killara Food Court sponsoring our weekly Junior Club Encouragement award.

Under 11: What beer way to start the day than with the U11's out there doing their thing in near perfect condions for August. It's a shame the season end is fast approaching for this group as they are really hing their straps and watch out in years to come as going to cause some headaches for opposion side. A huge thank you to our game day awards sponsors in Wendys, McDonalds, Doughnut King & Compton Street Bakers Delight with the awards being shared around once again as just to hard to split.

Junior Colts: In an important game for our Junior Colts as they look to keep the pressure on the top 2 and look towards a top 4 finish, the signs were there early they were in for a big game. The 1st was an evenly matched affair with the Maggies having a 5 point lead at the end of the quarter, however that's as close as it got over the next 3 quarters as Macca had them up and firing, holding the young Murphies scoreless in the second and only 2 more for goals in the 3rd & 4th while managing to pe the ground up with some quality passages of play and kick 10 themselves to end up with a commanding 57 point win. Best players went to Lachy – Spot On, Alex –Bunnings, Jack – OK Pie Shop, Preston –Bakers Delight, Nathaniel – Coaches Award and Frank – Killara Food Court encouragement award.

Senior Colts: Another game for our Senior Colts which in the shape of the season is credit to the boys & Junior Colts for showing up each week. Full credit to Will & the Glencoe lads for making sure we had a game and best of luck for the remainder of the season. Once

it was played in the best

having a crack but sll plenty of enjoyment had. Best players went to Axe – Road House, Lachy – Country Atude, Jack Barry – KD's Deli, Nathaniel – Aussie Disposals & Charlie – Killara Food Court Encouragement award.

Reserves: What a tough game for our B Grade side with another close game against the Murphies who are baling for the same spot in the 4. The 1st half a real seesawing affair with both sides having plenty of the ball but the Maggies found themselves 14 points up at the main break and the game there for the taking. The 3rd was a tough affair and both sides having plenty of the ball with the maggies up 15 points at the final break. Glencoe managed to open the game up in the last and the Maggies couldn't get their hands on the ball for long enough to slow the game down and ended up going down in a tough one by 10 points. Best players went to Kye, Blommy, Brad, Cam, Jye & Westy

Seniors: In perfect condions for footy and with plenty of past players watching on it was up to the current side to go to work and connue the good run of wins against one of our biggest rivals. The tone was set early in the 1st with the forward line looking in sync as the midfielders were delivering plenty of quality ball to them inside 50 and they made the most of the opportunies while the backline held strong at the same me end the 1st term with a 30-point margin. Second quarter proved to be a bit more of a slog for the Maggies with Glencoe dropping a player behind the ball to play negave footy and try and curb the forwards but to the boys credit they worked through this to go in at the main break with a 41 point margin. Glencoe jumped out of the blocks early in the 3rd registering the first couple of goals but as the game looked to open up and the forwards looking commanding, backline holding strong and mids going about their work managed to increase our lead at the final break to 51 points. With plenty around the final huddle it was up to the Maggies to finish the game off strong and with a 5 goal to 4 final quarter it was a quality 57-point victory & wasn't it good to sing the song with so many past premiership players watching on. Best players went to Heiny, Lachy, Dyl, Jayk, Meysey & Connor

Next up we head south to take on Kongorong in what is always a bruising encounter. Make sure we head back to our sponsors at the RSL for teas & presos aer the game.

ROBE ROOSTERS

football

Junior Colts: Really proud and happy with the 'young roosters' enthusiasm and persistence during this game. Reward for effort didn't really ring true this me. I believe the score line and end result is not indicave of the team's effort. The Port Mac boys are to be congratulated on their skill level, running ability and teamwork. With 70% of our team that played on Saturday being 12 or younger, these necessary elements are something that we will connue to work on. The young fellas are a 'work in progress', and their families should be proud of them. The most important lesson to come from this game is: beat your opponent to the ball; do your best at every contest, run hard and have fun. Bring on our next game, it is a chance to show what we are really all about. Team, team, team.

B Grade: Another beauful day for footy greeted us aer the long drive to the next best crayfishing port in SA. The boys knew it wasn't going to be easy and they were right. Port Mac were very good opponents, plenty of pressure and physicality it was a great hit out running into the last few weeks of home and away football. Tom Kurray had the ball on a string, kicking a couple and seng up his teammates to score. Bailey Walker is in good form as is his ruck partner Tom Miller. Jim Wasson was solid again, Flynn Peel played well enough to get the call up and play 2 games in the day. Zack Donnelly and Jordan Aston were other good players on the day. Two games le for us unl finals so me to

ramp up on and off the field. Keep having fun and keep playing team football. Go Roosters.

A Grade: The A Grade team made our way to the Bay last Saturday to take on a resurgent Port Mac team. The first quarter was high pressure, contested football with both sides showing they were up for the contest. At the end of the first the home team held a slight 4 point lead. Second quarter the pressure didn’t let up, Smithy up forward was providing a strong target and Brodie Foulds was resolute in defence. At the major break we had taken a 1 point lead. Robe came out aer the long break looking to take the game from the Demons. James Duon was electric on the wing winning numerous 1 on 1 contests, Ben Dinning was dangerous pushing forward and geng the hard ball. 2.5 to 2.1 for the quarter le Robe with a slender 5 point lead going into the last. The last quarter was a close seesawing contest. Both teams were going in hard and not taking a backwards step. George Duon was dynamic off the half back pung his body on the line and winning the contests. In Will Macdonald’s 200th the Port Mac boys rallied and kicked 5 goals to 2 in the last to run out 14 point winners in a very entertaining contest.

mount burr mozzies

football club notes

Junior Colts: We started strong last week with lots of pressure and conceded some unlucky goals in the first half. Second half our pressure dipped but I feel like our skills improved. Reed was best on, he impacted the game in all areas around the ground. Jimmy was exceponal and was impressive in the ruck. Sonny was his usual skillful self. Owen, Archer and Louie all played well and laid terrific tackles. Very excited to see what this team can do against Robe.

Senior Colts: Senior Colts had a strong game against Hatherleigh coming away with a nice win. A compeve game between a lot of mates in both sides which always brings out the best in these cross town rivalries.

B Grade: Coming up against Hatherleigh is always a tough assignment, made even more difficult last week by a number of players unavailable across our senior list. Despite this we started the game with the expectaon that we could compete hard and hopefully make life difficult for the Eagles players. In the first quarter it was apparent that the Hatherleigh key forwards were on fire and it was going to be a long game. There were sll posives we took from the big loss, the most significant being the effort of the Senior Colts boys who stepped up to make sure we could fill a side. Harrison Thwaites was our best player in his first senior game. Cocky & Blake both got in the best players and Cambell & Dylan competed like they always do. For the regular players it was Brock, Harry and

Myles that held their own and competed hard all day. Unfortunately the draw doesn’t get any easier for us when we play Robe at Robe this Saturday

A Grade: A great day for footy but ended in a disappoinng result for us. We set ourselves some goals going into the game, but we just couldn’t quite achieve them. We put some things in place to try and help us execute a win but unfortunately failed. Again we showed patches of some really good footy and some really good pressure around the ball but just couldn’t sustain for long enough. We didn’t defend anywhere near as hard as we should have which allowed Hatherleigh to move the ball from defence to aack too easy. Coming up against good sides you have to make sure you are commied for two hours. Something we are sll learning and will connue to learn how to do. Looking forward to having another crack this week and see if we can produce a more consistent effort.

GLENCOE MURPHIES

football club notes

On the road again for our second to last away game at Kalangadoo, we came away with two wins. Thank you to our Social Commiee for a well organised Olympic themed sports day evening. A blast was had by all, congratulaons to 'Green' for bringing home the bacon.

Under 11: A cold dewy morning but that never dampens the young Murphs spirit. A game played with great enthusiasm, thanks to Kdoo for mix and matching to ensure a good game. Some talent shining through on both sides.

tried hard and shared the ball around with their teammates and resulted in a high scoring clash, we ran away with a 40 point win with many goal scorers. Best was Brodie kicking 8 and rolling through the ruck, Lachy playing a centre man's game, Sam in some form, Digby connuing his run and dash, Kade in his return game from injury and Bailey played well for both teams. Onto a big game against Nangwarry this week, hope to see everyone there to support the boys.

senior colts

junior colts

Junior Colts: The arion rate connues unfortunately, thanks Macca for topping us up. The first term was an even tussle with Hamish slong the first goal for the day, from there Kalangadoo jumped ahead and sloed a few handy goals. We missed Max aer being injured but sll managed to kicked three goals against a team that will be playing finals soon with lots of young kids connually improving. Coach Haase asked for a super effort kicking the first goal in each of the third and fourth quarters, the kids responded and achieved it, well done kids. Best was Jack playing his best game for the year, Hamish who sloed two and is having a wonderful year, Mason who also kicked a nice goal, Alejandro, Jasmine and Hunter rounded out the best players.

Senior Colts: It was only three years ago where we had 7 or 8 Senior Colts so we know the feeling that they have this year. We are enjoying excellent numbers presently and the boys have displayed excellent comradery when playing for Kdoo in our bye or like they did on the weekend. The first half was the Brodie show slong seven goals straight for the half. The second half of the game the boys playing with Kalangadoo

Reserves: Finals like game with third vs fourth, an even first term we unfortunately let them spread and create more than us. The second term they kicked accurately and led by 14 at the half. Third term we started to get it more on our terms but were sll down by 15, needing a big li in the last we came out firing. Our senior players showcased some excellent skills mixed with bit of dash from the youth paved the way to kick four goals to zip in the last. Coming away with a 10-point win. Best was Trent, Jake, Jacob, coach Ben and colt Kaleb.

Seniors: Coming into the game aer a good victory against Kongorong we were wanng to connue the winning feeling. We started the first 15 well with an even tussle before Kdoo taught us a lesson on how to move the football and be accountable being five goals up at quarter me. Second term was a bit beer but they connued to use the ball well. Reece was aer a li in the second half, in the third we did kick four goals but it wasn't enough. With a bit of inaccurate kicking we struggled to reduce the margin going down by 57 points. Best was Declan who defended superbly, Dylan, Zacc, Patrick and Tory who kicked six goals.

NANGWARRY SAINTS

Another perfect day for football home against Tantanoola with compeve game across all grades and each club taking home 2 wins. We are on the home stretch now with 3 games of footy le to be played. Our A Grade are sing with 2 wins and it would be good to see a few more to show how much our side has improved under senior coach Taz Raymond in his final few games. For those who are yet to see some junior footy I encourage you to get to a game at 10am and watch our young junior colts who have lost their last 2 games by less than 10 points, they are playing some great footy. Our senior colts are looking great and we wish them well in their final few games as they have their sights set firmly on playing finals footy

We have 2 funcons le for the year. Our Red, White and Black Ball is tonight following Glencoe. Entry is $10, DJ “Noza” is on the tunes with his brand new decks and there is a bus catch up with Tamara for more info. Our final home game is our annual aucon so please ensure you have your group’s item and let Tamara know, this is our major event so please keep next home game free and head into the club aer the A Grade for a meal and to make a bid to help your local club.

Finally on a sad note we wish our captain a speedy recovery from his injury and hope it is not as serious as he thinks.

This week we acknowledge Thomson Forestry and Mick Mullan Building and Plumbing as our sponsors.

Thomson is a new business they are on call 24/7 Thomson Forestry helps maintain equipment, ready to service and replace all hydraulic hoses and fings.

Mick Mullan Building and Plumbing need no introducon as a long term sponsor and the business behind our rebuild, we are forever grateful to have their connued support. Under 11: Our small group has been improving all season under Vesa. These young Saints are really gelling together and learning well. Great to see Tant with good numbers and both teams kicking some good goals.

Junior Colts: Beauful day to host the Tigers at home. A very low scoring affair which was a testament to both side's effort and pressure throughout. There was quite a few fantasc individual efforts on the day but also some cracking team efforts as well. We struggled to capitalise and use our inside 50s to get in front. Our 3rd quarter was probably our best owning the footy for 90% of the quarter in our forward half, just couldn't convert. All in all though it was a great effort all round and we can't be disappointed with the effort gone in.

Senior Colts: Last week was definitely a game in 2 halves, Nangwarry got off to a great start and had a solid display of team footy during the first 2 quarters resulng in an 84 point lead at half me. Aer a few posional changes in the second half Tantanoola played some great footy to get back into the game. In the end Nangwarry won by 49 points in a really entertaining game of football. Goal kickers were Elwood Geary 4 goals, Benne Moy 3, Bay McKinnon 2, Tayte Virtanen 2, Archer Virtanen, and singles to Calais Borman, Baiden Peterson, and Bo Sampson. Awards were Cooper Harris (Spud Train), Ollie Capewell (Nangwarry Canteen), Jordan Dinnison (Muffin Break), Tayte Virtanen (OK

Pie Shop) and Wya Balshaw (Nangwarry BBQ). Other beer players were Jagger Geary and Toby Grigg. Congrats to Taz and the A's and all the under 17's who played in another win in the A Grade lastweek, it is so good to see all the hard work is starng to pay off with good results. And also congratulaons to George McWaters on his signing to coach the seniors next year. This week we look forward to tesng us again against top of the ladder Glencoe.

B Grade: Went into the game very confident we would come away with the win but unfortunately that wasn't to be. Geng 2 players sent off early didn't help and we just couldn't make up those 3 goals that tant kicked in that period. Credit to our lads though they fought on right to the end looked the beer team towards the end of the game. Only a few more games to go so hopefully we can finish the season off strongly

A Grade: It was nice to be back playing in the sunshine and perfect playing condions. We had a good week on the track in readiness to take on Tantanoola who has been in good form recently. We too have been in good form and knew if we were to bring that momentum into this game it would give us a strong chance of victory. We were also buoyed with confidence and excitement during the week from the news that big George McWater had accepted the role as our playing coach for next season. We started the first quarter well but were inaccurate in front of goal kicking 1 goal 4 behinds. We had numerous forward 50 entries but didn't capitalise our opportunies but to Tantanoola's credit they scored 2 goals to give themselves a slight lead at the first break. Some minor adjustments at the break saw our boys turn it up a notch and play some excing football and put another 4 goals on the board to Tant’s 1 giving us the lead at halime. There was a good feeling in the rooms and the boys were keen. This was followed up by another good quarter and we were able to add another 5 goals to Tant’s 1. Our transion football and our pressure on the opposion was very pleasing. At the last break we had a very handy 7 goal lead. To Tantanoola's credit they didn't lay down and started the last quarter well geng a couple of goals on the board in quick succession early. To our boys credit they responded and played good tempo football and responded by pung a few goals on the board to run out eventual winners by 31 points. It's nice for the boys to rewarded for their hard efforts and also to get the win in front of our past players in aendance celebrang their 1994 and 1999 premierships. Goal kickers were Elwood Geary 4, Jack Pudney 3, Blake Neshoda 2, Noah Virtanen 1, Archer Virtanen 1, Andy Hyland 1, Jake McKeon 1. We had many winners on the ground and at the end of the day it was hard to pick best players. Our top 6 best players went to 1. George McWaters, 2. Archer Virtanen, 3. Jack Pudney, 4. Isaac Raymond, 5. Joel Virtanen, 6. Logan Gibbs. A huge shout out to our skipper Jake McKeon who was playing a superb game before succumbing to a knee injury late in the game. Hoping the scan results are in your favour and we are all thinking of you mate. This week again we prepare in readiness to take on Glencoe and we very much look forward to the challenge.

Junior Colts: We travelled to Nangwarry, the boys started real slow not playing their best footy, having 3 quarters being what we thought was laziness, with that giving Nangwarry a good sniff coming into the last quarter. Aer small stern talking too, the kids went out in the last quarter playing the brand of footy we've been working towards and coming home with the win.

Senior Colts: As we headed to Nangwarry our boys knew it was going to be a tough game with Nangas showing their class early pung 7 goals on the board in the first quarter. The second was much the same with them kicking 6 goals as well and aer a bit of a rev up at half me the boys came out firing winning the second half 9 goals to 3 which the boys can take

a lot out of it. Best players were Brayden Rowe, Ryan Long, Sam Simmons, Nick Lile, Braydn Hateley and Jackson Grant. Goal kickers where Ryan Long with 3, Braydn Hateley with 2 and Ash Foulds, Kaden Bell, Eli Bowman and Evan Jazepczyk.

Reserves: Last week in the B Grade we headed to Nangwarry in beauful condions. We had a few lads back from injury and all the boys were full of confidence and keen for a win. We had a solid first quarter kicking 3 goals. With the sun out both sides slowed up aer quarter me and we were able to maintain our pressure and kept the scoreboard cking over. In the last quarter Nangwarry threw everything they had at us and to the boys credit they held on for the win. Best players were Ma Nelson, Nick Cory, Marky Bell, Bundy, Juddy and Big Minky who led the way in the forward with 3 goals

A Grade: Last week we played Nangwarry over there in almost perfect football condions. From the first bounce we started slow allowing the Saints to run free and pick up easy possessions. The 2nd and 3rd quarter was much the same unfortunately, very hard to watch on the sidelines with guys dropping their heads and not pung in the effort that is required when it comes to senior football. The last quarter was by far our best, kicking over half our score and starng to get link up and play our structures well. Unfortunately it's been a tough year with a lot of injuries but the efforts we produced on Saturday definitely isn't good enough and is very much a learning experience for this group who need to start standing up.

PORT MACDONNELL DEMONS

football club notes

A Grade: Port MacDonnell 11.8 def Robe 8.12. Welcome back to sunny Port Mac where we have yet to play a game in the rain! It was Sponsor's Day, and the crowd were not disappointed. We all know how vitally important our sponsors are, they enable us to connue as a club and a community... so, thank you to each and every one of you for your me and support. Congratulaons to Will Macdonald, who played his 200th game for the club and I'm sure the win made it a memorable occasion. A GF medal might be a good souvenir for this year! It was always going to be a tough game, but a win would cement us in the top 4 and keep our finals chances alive. The boys dug deep to cover a very quick Robe side and at mes it was goal for goal and point for point. The pressure was relentless for both teams and the heat of the day made it that much harder. Riley Morgan had an outstanding game winning the BOG for his efforts across the HB and flank posions. Perennial favourite Will Macdonald (2nd) showed exceponal skill in maintaining the pressure across the midfield and in the air, taking on some of the rucking dues and marking the ball at crucial mes. Colby Munro (3rd) kept up the pace along both sides of the field, ready for any ball that crossed his path while Tim Sullivan (4th) handled most of the ruck dues around the ground and kept us in touch at all mes. Jake Schleter (5th) and Kyall McClean (6th) pulled quite a few feathers with their connuous aack on the ball through the defensive ends and clearing it forward with startling pace. The scores were ght at each changeover but thankfully Alex Ridding kicked 3, Chrisan Howle and Josh Woodall kicked 2, while Colby Munro, Je Aard (in a great run to an open goal!), Zack Williams and Will Macdonald all kicked very important singles. The noise in the pavilion rose and fell with each kick, tackle, mark

and score and from a spectang point of view, it was a great game to watch…. no maer who you were barracking for. Next, we venture to Tigerland… and remember our work is not done yet! So, let's train hard to play hard! Go Demons!

B Grade: Pt MacDonnell 6.4 lost to Robe 12.7. In picnic like condions, we welcomed many of our faithful for Sponsor's Day and while the chicken for lunch may have been mignon, feathers did fly on the field! I do think Robe thought it would be an easy win, but they underesmated the tenacity of our lads. True, the scoreline was not in our favour at the final siren but we only let them score half of their last win against us (27.13 to 1.1). We'll have to start calling BOG Aaron Harding “Weathervane” because not only was he on top of the game, it didn't maer which direcon he went, he had the ball, either in ruck, marking, kicking, forward, back or centre! And like the Fantasc Mr. Fox, Tom Sullivan (2nd) slinked his way through the packs and connuously pushed the ball forward from the HB, midfield and flanks. Baz O'Dine (3rd) was the “old stud bull” on the paddock, immovable and solid in defence, while Border Collie trio, Alex Lamb, Mason Brown and Adam Richards (4th, 5th and 6th respecvely) rounded up the ball on many occasions with speed and agility against a determined Rooster forward line. Barnyard bullseyes go to Aaron Harding with 4 and farmer 'Ol (Ben) McGregor with 2. A lapse in judgment and discipline weighed heavily on the game and 'the farmer' pointed out that we need to work on our head space as much as our game. With only a few games le we have a road trip to Tigerland and while we may not have come away with the blue ribbon against Robe, as Farmer Hogge would say... “That'll do pig! ..That'll do! Go Demons!

NETball club notes

Thank you to our sponsors for this round The Spot for Surf, Mango's Fashion Bouque and Lima & Co.

Junior 2: I was so happy to be back with my girls aer a lile holiday. To be able to see how much you have all grown and improved was amazing. With a few sick we were fortunate to have Sienna and Alyssa fill in for us again. We appreciate having your guidance on the court. Edie and Lilah move well together in goals. Evie had an outstanding day chasing loose balls. Lenny shot her first goal of the season! Way to go Lenny. And Maya managed some great intercepts from reading the ball even aer having 4 weeks off. Thankfully the rain held off for us. Thanks to our sponsors and best player awards, Fasta Pasta, Canteen Voucher and McDonalds.

Junior 1: It was one of the best games we've played together all season. We are beyond proud of how you guys have progressed not only as individuals but as a team. I hope everyone is keen for the next game, because we are. Our best players were Allara Galloway (Maccas voucher) and Sienna Black (club voucher). See you guys this week.

13 & Under: Fantasc effort everybody! I am so proud of you all for whether it was playing in the hail before our game or playing out of posion as I juggled everyone around each quarter, each and every one of you had such good atudes and it really showed in our game. For the amount of swaps we made, we played well and defended the ball really well. As always, we can always dy up our skill errors but overall I am stoked with our efforts. Best on went to Soph (Club Award) and Claire (Fasta Pasta) for both playing well rounded games out of posion and showing great leadership with their atudes and talk on court. Let's train hard over the bye and come out ready to go aer a week off!

15 & Under: What a well fought game girls. From the moment you stepped on court you were level headed. Came front for the balls, created space and fed brilliantly into the circle. Defensive pressure was amazing chasing up any loose balls and rebounds. You all worked so well together which saw us come away with the win. I would have given you all best player if I could but best players went to Abby Brant (O'Connor & Graney), Rahni Janeway (club voucher) and Lily Foster (Janeway family donaon).

17 & Under: Well done ladies! The energy and posive talk that was happening throughout the enrety of this game was amazing! And having a full side really impacted our day, lots of highlights from Harmoni and Alisha in GK! Riley geng some great touches and improving your netball every week! Hayley finding your groove in the mid court and to our aackers for the day Eadie, Thalia and Ruby what a game! I hope you all are as proud of yourselves as I am of you. Best players went to Thalia Vonstanke (Mangos), Ruby Carrigan (Vanity) and Harmoni Kent (Vanity).

B Reserve: What a cracker of a game. Was a lot of posive talk and energy which what gave our girls the win they deserved. They have done a lot of work in the background on their game play and right mind set. The effort and commitment was fabulous. We also did a lot beer mid court with passing more accurate and safe. Best players Amie Brant for her constant intercepts and reading play. Chernita Goldsmith for working constantly picking up her player. Zoe Ashby for driving so well and creang space and re-offering.

B Grade: Another game where we seem to start off a bit slow, but we gradually find our feet and from then on we don't give up and we play some good passages of netball. Windy weather made for some tough shoong opportunies and adjustments had to be made, again Abby Brant stepping up and providing the goal circle with more scoring opportunies. Great effort through the mid court and watching and waing for the best opons. Again defence worked really well and never gave up considering it was non stop down that end and it was 100% effort at all mes. Awards went to 4 girls who provided constant pressure, guidance and play through all 4 quarters. Maddie Bowd (Mangos), Rebecca Millie (Elite Supps), Miranda Skinner (Chemist King), Abby Brant (Mika Hair & Beauty).

A Reserve: Wasn't our best team game but we sll came out on top. We struggled to move the ball fluently down the court and relied on a lot of back passing. On a posive note, aack had a strong 4 quarters. Samantha Ham consistently making her presence known on court, with sharp aack driving, turnovers and paence feeding. Courtney Sealey had a great game as GA, moving and shoong. Sarah Lucas stepped up defence to another level in the second half making the circle her own with many turnovers and rebounds. Best players went to Samantha Ham, receiving a Mangoes Bouque voucher. And our other best player goes to Courtney Sealey receiving the Vanity Beauty voucher

A Grade: Great job girls! Each week we are chipping towards our game we want to play and this game was no different, with everybody standing up and taking some ownership over their game and playing their roles. Our aack and demand for the ball stood out to me as everyone really took on board what we have been working on at training and produces patches of play that I couldn't fault. Consistency has always been key with working towards producing a game we can be proud which is what our aack like needs to focus on as we round off the season. Week in week out we always across the court put in such a strong defensive effort to fight back any lost balls which was no different. Best on went to Eb (Arena) for playing her role really confidently and linking well between defence and aack. Let's enjoy the break and come out fresh ready to finish the season strong!

Junior 2: Mini magpies had a great game coming up against some J1 level and height. But that didn't deter them, they sll came out with great skill and a great atude. All the defence was amazing and the driving forward was super impressive. Everyone should be very proud of the netball that is being played all around. April and Heidi got our awards, but it could have easily been the whole team.

Junior 1: Great start to our game, the girls took a while to adjust but eventually found their groove. Each one of the girls displayed great skills aer been chucked into the posions they have not played of much before. It was fantasc to see some of our players that are not too confident with shoong get some great goals within the game. Our defensive pressure was amazing throughout the game and we created many turnovers. I am so proud of how all the girls played and I can’t wait for this week. Best players: Ariella (Coke/Boost award) and Harper (Dks Hot Chocolate Award).

13 & Under: What a start we had. Good job in adjusng to the umpires girls in the first quarter. This is great to see and will come in handy when finals come into play. We just need to sll concentrate on coming in front of our opponents instead of the longer passes which somemes works or doesn’t. Tekani Mars Bar award and Milla, Ashley work hard in the defensive circle and our middle court with Zara Coke and lollie award Emily and Harper in control they med their moves and passed the ball into Malda Bakers Delight award and Jorja Mars Bar award who was ready to put the ball away in the net. Well done girls, not too many games le. Let’s dy up in places before we go into finals round.

15 & Under: A tough game last week, but we dug deep to end up with a solid win. Ava made some great feeds and ran hard through the middle (Kain construcons award). Lucy and Kiersten (Lucy Egan coke award) combined well in goals and made good posion in the ring. Molly and Zoe played strong, disciplined defence and got their hands to lots of balls. It’s important to connue maintain our work rate and posive body language even when the score is ght, especially as we are coming in to finals. Well done girls!

17 & Under: It was nice to have our whole team back together last week! Lily and Molly worked well together driving hard on to the circle, creang space and feeding our goalies with accuracy. Shayden and Georgia are so tough for any of their opponents and it was pleasing to see them try some out some new moves we have been working on. Ash stepped up and had a great game in WD helping build the

pressure for Maya and Ellie who took many intercepts. Some great passages of play by all but we sll have plenty to work on. Thanks Lucy, Kiersten and Zoe again for your support!

B Reserve: A good, strong four quarters for us. We were able to get a few touches from the first whistle to give us a small buffer that we connued to build on all game. Between Deb, Gem, Ash and Emily we made the goalies work extra hard for their possessions and always got themselves in to good rebounding posions. They were backed up by Emma and Ange on the circle who both created plenty of pressure making it hard to feed to goalies. Jodi and Maddi both worked relessly to create opons for themselves and for each other and capitalised on all opportunies. Ange and Allara used their speed to their advantage and ensured we always had movement. Best players were Maddi (Mangos) and Emma (Judy award).

B Grade: A strong performance from our B Grade girls. Our goalies finished exceponally well and adapted to the changes as needed. Our transions out of defence were stronger which is great to see the things we are talking about at training are being put into pracce. Again our midcourters worked overme with some excing touches from Bec and Jamie. Very excited for our team moving into finals as we are connuing to improve and gel as a team. Can I also add before best players: A big thank you to Ellie and Lily for once again stepping out and helping when needed. Ellie sloed straight into our team with many intercepts along the way. Best players: Gina Gogel - Coke & Freddo, Rhianna May - Gambier Pharmacy award.

A Reserve: Fantasc four quarter team effort. Defensive unit was solid giving aack plenty of opportunies. Aack was paent with our goalies converng accurately. Really impressive effort against a top 4 side. Let’s keep it up and focus on the next few weeks. Best players: Shayden Russell - Kalangadoo Netball Club award, Anthea Paerson - Mangos award.

A Grade: Not the end result we were wanng to achieve but a lot to take from this game. Our transion out of defence was great and our composure the whole game was consistent. We were able to build our pressure all the way down the court to achieve some turnovers and our versality in our midcourt and defence is an asset to our team. A lot of hard work ahead of us but I know we have the team to rise to the challenge and bounce back. A minor hiccup but let’s focus on our long term vision. Thanks to our A Res girls for sing bench each week!

NETball club notes

A Grade: Pt Mac 42 def by Robe 47. We always ancipated that facing the Demons at Port Mac would be a challenging match, given their strong defence and precise shoong. Trailing by three goals heading into the final quarter, we knew each of us had to step up. With hard work, paence, and control, we achieved a 9-goal turnaround and secured a 6-goal victory Demi Carter demonstrated exceponal leadership, earning the Calcua (Victoria Jaxon) for the day and creang crucial space for effecve feeding. Alannah Campbell also stood out for Robe, making key turnovers when they were most needed (Coaches award – Holiday Trading Co). We're pleased with the win and now look forward to facing the Burr

A Reserve: Pt Mac 43 def Robe 34. It took the A Res side a lile while to sele into the game. Everyone was keen and ready to go but PM were tough opponents. In the first Ella and Libby put up some great shots and we moved the ball well, but the difference was some small errors gave PM opportunies and they were hard to stop once they had ball in hand. In the second our defence worked hard to keep the ball from geng close to the post and we managed to get some strong rebounds. Jess worked her way into the game geng stronger as the game went on. Hannah drove into the mid court well and we started to get more aack end opportunies. Our goalers and mids started to connect but we became a lile red in the last few minutes and PM increased their lead slightly. 27 18 at half me. Ellen came on at half me to WD and gave us fresh legs to help slow their mid court. Unfortunately, Skimmer rolled an ankle and we needed to make further changes. Everyone worked to stay on task with Libby and Ella finding some connecon and we won the third quarter by 2. The last was even, Anabelle and Camille swapping mid court roles, and Ellen driving the C. Under warm condions ever did well- Hannah taking the Calcua (Holiday Trading Co) and Ellen (Naracoorte Sportspower) the coaches award.

B Grade: Pt Mac 45 def Robe 22. Hard fight ladies. A slow start hit us where it hurt. It was like watching tennis, that ball just went back & forth. We lost our heads in the first and aer a lile spray from the coach we found that belief again in ourselves which got us through the fight. Unfortunately, we were outplayed in the end. Thank you to the girls who stepped up and filled in – Olivia, Maddie & Lexy we would have been lost without you. Calcua went to Maddie (Loaves & Fishes) who played a blinder in GD. Incenve went to Lexy (Holiday Trading Co) who never lets her height get in the way of her game and played solid in GK. As I said though, we all had our highs and lows. Bad luck ladies.

B Reserve: Pt Mac 61 def Robe 32. Wow didn't Port Mac put on the weather for our arrival! It was a warm one and we were not expecng that. Our goal was to improve on the score from round 1 and I'm happy to report we did that. Cassie worked so well in WA. She found the space well and was there to back the goalies up on the ring every me. This earnt her my coaches award (Holiday Trading Co). Port Mac had some height in their goal circle and our defence had to work so hard all game. Massive thank you to Leni who played for us even though she had already played 2 games before hand. Leni played so well in defence, geng turnovers and pung much needed pressure on the goalies. This earnt Leni Calcua (Loaves & Fishes). As the season draws to an end and I reflect on previous games I'm so happy with how the team has grown and improved.

17 & Under: Pt Mac 47 def Robe 18. I asked the girls to come out firing and they absolutely did! The second they hit the court they were on, unfortunately Georgie went down with a nasty ankle injury in the second quarter but the girls held it together unl half me! We had to make some big changes and posion mix ups which unfortunately for us allowed Port Mac to break ahead. We were unable to keep the team consistent which made it hard for the girls to sele, however I was so impressed with the posive atudes and massive effort all day. Everyone played their role. Emily was best on (Salubrious Hour) with a blinder, as usual offering lead aer lead. Coaches went to Kiana (Loaves & Fishes) who shot accurately all day and did not give up. Well done to Port Mac who played very well!

15 & Under: Pt Mac 47 def Robe 44. The girls started the game strong and connued to put pressure on Port Mac for all four quarters. Good to see all 9 players working together as a team. Unfortunately, we didn't come away with a win, losing by 3 to the top side but we had an absolute ripper game! Well done to Kaitley Brooks who got best on court (Denton's Sportspower) and incenve went to Holly Varga (Naracoorte Sportspower).

13 & Under: Pt Mac 28 def by Robe 37. Last me we met Port Mac we went down by just 1 goal, however we came out on top winning by 9 and could not have been prouder. It was quite a physical game, which at mes did have us raled. However, our Robe girls held their heads high, worked together, supporng each other and direcng each other throughout the enre game, showing just how mature these beauful young ladies are! Well done! Freya was awarded best player (Union Café), she was on fire in the ring, front cung, holding her defenders well and rarely missing her goals! Zoe stepped it up a notch, showing true leadership as one of the older girls in the team and in turn earned herself my coaches award (Denton's Sportspower). With only a couple of games to go our aim is come out strong again next week and finish the season on a high note!

Junior 1: Finally we had our team back together and it showed. All the way down the court we had great leads driving into space was so good to see. Scarle and Issy paired extremely well proving they're going to be a combinaon to watch in compeve netball. Kendall and Aurla combined really well in aack, driving onto the ring and passing well. Amelie works overme at WD and when chucked into C sll worked hard! Harper, Edie and Mali always give 100% in defence, driving to get the ball out and bring it down court. Coaches award went to Scarlet (Robe Netball Club) for her perfect game in goals, was so good to see!

Junior 2: A really enjoyable game to watch! We were greeted with sunny skies and no wind, a nice change from the last couple of weeks. All the girls had a great atude and played together as a team. They responded well to advice and made a huge effort to make space on the court and lead in front of their player. Jess steadied the ship in centre and took on feedback from training, slowing down and waing for a good opon before passing. Charloe received incenve (Robe Netball Club), she worked hard all game and made an incredible amount of intercepts in defence, while focusing on minimising contact calls, great work Charloe. This team has come a long way since the beginning of the season and we look forward to the last couple of games. Great work girls!

Junior 2: Well done girls, you played a great game. Aer a slow start with some red bodies, you all came together and played a brilliant last 3 quarters. You had strong passes, geng everyone involved and showing your teamwork skills. I loved seeing you all encourage your teammates and clap when a goal was scored! The Acky's award went to Lacey for playing an awesome game in both aack and defence and showed fight, determinaon and confidence when going for the ball. The McDonald's award went to Sienna who showed strong driving to the ball and used her outside arm to create many turnovers. The Denton's Sports Power drink bole went to Charlie who had great defensive pressure, taking intercepts and kept watching the ball and backing up her teammates. So proud of you all.

Junior 1: A tough game girls. We came against a strong opposion, making us constantly work hard for every possession. This week we need to make sure we are leading front and pulling in our rebounds. Well done on a good team game backing each other up even though we were missing some of our team. Thanks Abbey, Emily and Stacey for umpiring and Nicole for ming. Awards went to Indi (Zambrero), Bella (Acky's), Scarle (Fasta Pasta).

13 & Under: Well done, even though we lost the game, we played so much beer than last me we played Hatherleigh. We came out firing in the first quarter, having a great lead. Aer the first quarter we needed to slow down and control our game, and look aer the ball. When we play teams like Hatherleigh, 4 consistent quarters are needed to win the game. In saying this we will take a lot of posives out of the match, and keep working hard to change to look aer the ball when we are in tough games. Overall a great job

girls. Thanks to the Gellion team for scoring and ming, and Mandy for umpiring. Awards went Emily - Fasta Pasta, Sophie - McDonalds and Hope - Fasta Pasta.

15 & Under: Unlucky girls, you were close all of the game with a lapse in the 3rd quarter that saw us drop a few goals. Well done to the defenders applying strong defensive pressure all game, and the aacking end paently working the ball to goal. Best players went to Becky Davis geng the Sportspower award and Isabel Obrien geng the McDonalds award.

17 & Under: Well done on a hard fought win. Was great to see you all working together as a team, with each player contribung to the win. There were some great passages of play that were a product of what we have been working on at training. Fine tuning some passing, rotaon in the goal circle and ming of leads will help us to improve even more. The intensity at the beginning of the game was beer, and improved as the game went on. Well done Macy on winning the Zambrero and Abbey for winning the Acky's awards. Each player gave their all to contribute to the teams success. Thanks to Julie for scoring and Pina for ming, as well as Lynne for umpiring. Let's connue to be dedicated to training and have a strong few weeks to connue to improve for the last few games of the season.

B Reserve: Mount Burr 29 defeated by Hatherleigh 51. We knew this would be a hard game going in and we did well to keep our heads and keep fighng to the end. Was some great moments for our team with Emily and Karen taking some great intercepons on the run, our aack worked hard using each other to get closer to the ring. Our awards went to Emily Haines and Zali Burns. Thanks to our sponsors Ignion Fitness, Ducky's Surf & Laura & Vicki hair dressing.

B Grade: Another tough game for round 2 of the season. It was great to see you all being flexible with your posions and working hard no maer the line up. We had a lot of the ball but struggled to ulise if effecvely in our aack line with many unforced errors resulng in Hatherleigh creang a big gap on the scoreboard. This was a hard deficit to come back from. We finished the game off strong with a good all-round effort from all players out on court, losing this quarter by just 5 goals. Congrats again to Bri on playing her 100th senior netball game for our club. Awards: Sassi – Bri, Zamberos – Nic.

A Reserve: Well done on the game last week girls. We knew it was going to be a bale and we gave it our all. Unfortunately Hatherleigh were able to capitalise on our errors taking the points for the day. We had some great passages of play but unfortunately our rushed decisions and passing cost us the points. We definitely never gave up and baled out those four quarters with everything we had. Both the Smith sisters played important roles on court with excellent movement, pressure on balls and Ava shoong majority of our goals working hard for a solid four quarters. Ava - Ignion Fitness, SaraLaura and Vickies.

A Grade: Facing Hatherleigh without our captain Laura was always going to be a challenge, and we definitely felt her absence in the mid-court. The game was ghtly contested, with neither team able to pull away. Hatherleigh capitalised on our unforced errors, securing a solid lead with only a minute remaining. However, we heightened our urgency, creang quick turnovers, and managed to e the game in the final seconds. Thank you Leah for umpiring, Alan for scoring, and Mandy for ming.

NETball club notes

Junior 2: What an amazing game we had against Kalangadoo. We had five of our regular players and a few fill-ins from junior ones. The game displayed just how much we have improved over the season! What an amazing effort! It was so excing to score four goals throughout the game, well done to Isabella, Addison and Adele for scoring them. The girls got to choose their own posions for the game and they all seemed very fing. Ruby played a great game in GD geng lots of intercepts and driving down the court, Isabella played GA and moved well throughout the court and into the circle, ready to shoot, Addison played GS and C, making lots of leads and choosing the in front player to pass to, Adele played GK and GS, pung lots of hand pressure in defense and coming to the front in aack and Iva player C and WA, creang lots of space over the court and passing the ball out in front. A real team effort and so everyone got an award! I am so proud of you all.

Junior 1: It was a very even matched game, which really helped us with plays and what we have been working on at training! Everyone had great hands over the ball pressure, and the effort that everyone put into the last quarter was amazing to watch. Mikayla and Hollie worked brilliantly in the circle together, and Shelby did some wonderful feeding into you, which helped it all look effortless. Charloe and Paige put in a lot of effort into defence, which helped us get the ball back to the aacking line. Encouragement this week went to Ruby, well done for adjusng and not geng any stepping calls when entering into C, just keep working on your passes. Best went to Shelby for working hard in WA to feed the goalies and some great shots when you were shoong. Amazing effort by everyone!

13 & Under: Glencoe 31 lost to Kalangadoo 56. Great effort girls against a strong opposion. We had an amazing start to the game and kept with them for the first quarter. Emma and Hallie were moving nicely in the circle together and connued to present for the enre game. In the mid court we adjusted well to start making sure our leads were coming in front of our players rather than forcing over the top. Jaylee and Jaz worked really hard all game to block up their players and contest all rebounds. Keep focusing on pung in effort for the full four quarters, even when we start to get red. Best player went to Hallie for always being an opon down court and good front cuts into the circle. Second best went to Mia for her pressure in the middle and adjusng to a new posion and creang mulple opons. Encouragement went to Jaylee for her hard work in the first three quarters and then was rewarded with plenty of intercepts in the last. Thanks for having me as your coach for the week!

15 & Under: Glencoe 36 lost to Kalangadoo 50. A game where plenty of posives come from it. We had plenty of the ball and everyone gave 100%. We really turned our mind set around from the previous game and it was great to play in drier condions again. Ella moved well and had lots of great touches, Hallie and Mia offered a lot of great leads, Kloe and Bella applied lots of pressure down the court. Best went to Layla who ran hard all game. Second to Ruby for a great game in defence and encouragement to Chloe for great

moving and shoong.

17 & Under: Glencoe 41 lost to Kalangadoo 78. We knew this was going to be a tough game but we had some great passages of play and kept fighng hard and trying different opons. Be very proud of yourselves as you all never gave up and ran the whole game out. Best players: Shae Tweddle, Alyssa Medhurst and Jena Jagger

B Reserve: Glencoe 38 lost to Kalangadoo 55. Well done girls on a solid training last week. Our game felt a lot beer and we were more energised. Unfortunately we went down, however there were some really good examples of play. There was definitely more effort put in and more want for the ball. We sll need to have a look at our ball movement and court structure as there were instances of crowding and two players in the same place. We also need to talk more on court and put names on balls. Let's try to connue the effort for our last three games and finish off the season really posively. Best players were Caitlyn and Imogen.

B Grade: The scoreboard didn't reflect our effort girls. Well done for keeping your heads up and pushing through unl the end. It was a decent effort as a team and I was really pleased to hear the posives focused on both on the court and during quarter me huddles. Best players went to Giaan and Kate for their drive and defensive pressure. Thank you to Lauren, Alarna and Kate for being available on the bench. We appreciate you girls helping us out and cheering us on! Let's focus on finishing the season off strongly and with the intent to win every match from here on out!

A Reserve: Glencoe 25 lost to Kalangadoo 72. What can I say except it really wasn't our day. We started strong but fell away as the game went on. We threw balls away, passing to players under pressure which against the best team is really tough. Their defence made it hard to get it in the ring and we did persevere but unfortunately our goals weren't going in. There were lovely passages of play but there just wasn't enough of them. Hats off to your all for going with the changes made and really trying to make them work. Let's regroup and come out firing and finish off strong!

A Grade: Glencoe 62 defeated Kalangadoo 51. It was a game to test ourselves and we produced another fantasc team game. As a team we put in the effort for the full four quarters and were rewarded with the win. Everyone was strong onto the ball and kept backing up one another in both aack and defence. Chantelle and Jenna played a fantasc game in goals with Chel being a strong focal point under the post and Jenna driving awesome to the post and both rebounding strongly, earning first and second best (O'Brien Electrical). Donna and Ashlea worked overme to be an opon in aack and were strong on the take and paent to find the right opon in the circle. Alice played a great blocking game and connues to be a reliable opon transioning out of defence. Caitlin was rock solid at the back and was rewarded with some great intercepts for her reless efforts earlier in the game. You should all be proud of your posivity and resilience to connue contesng for the enre game. Let's take confidence from this win and connue to keep improving.

NETball club notes nangwarry

Junior 2: Fourth to last game of season, Saints face the Tigers on our home grounds. The sun was out, and the temp was higher than the girls were used to, but they sll hit the court with smiles on their faces. We played with our full team of 8, which we haven't been blessed with for a few weeks due to various reasons. The girls showed great sportsmanship, sharing their me on the bench. There were some great passages of play throughout the game, a few great leads made, a couple of good goals, and it is great to see the girls improving week in and week out.

13 & Under: Not a good start to the game, first quarter we didn't look like we were there at all. Into the second we really switched on with some great defence all over the court by all, turning over many balls and capitalising at the other end. We fought hard chased all those loose balls and our fight was paying off as we pegged back the score. In the last with the crowd behind us we all lied and moved the ball down the court well. Aack line worked overme and posioned well and fed the front opon which was great safe netball. Defence sll worked hard geng turnovers we needed and drove well into the aack line with some good feeding and shoong. Well done to all to get that win you fought all the way and its proves it's never impossible to come back aer being 10 goals down. BP award went to Aubrey who really stepped up and moved around well especially in the last and showed us what you are capable of and Limestone Coast Pantry to Izzy for some great moving in aack ulising the drop into to space and passing front easy opon. Well done to all you all deserved an award. Only 3 to go, let's see if we can connue on this way and finish the season with a few more wins. 15 & Under: It was a pleasure playing against Tantanoola and great to see so much improvement in the Nangwarry team. A fantasc fight in the 2nd half by the Nangwarry girls but Tantanoola were just too strong. Great plays by both team and a great game to watch. Well done Tantanoola.

B Reserve: What a beauful day at home vs the Tigers. Tantanoola came out strong from the first whistle. Nangwarry put up an amazing fight, but just not enough to get us over the line. It's great to see the connued improvement each and every week. Well done Tantanoola on your win.

B Grade: What an amazing game ladies. Our best game this season. Everyone played at their best and

the effort given by all nine players was extremely pleasing to see from a coach's perspecve. Zoe hardly missed any shots and held well in the ring. Ellie drove and fed well plus played great defensive game on her player. Montana was up and about running hard and passing well. Nat in aack passed well, being an opon by moving well in the goal circle. Ebony ran hard and got her hands to many balls. The three defenders Chloe, Stevie and Amy applied huge amounts of pressure creang numerous turnovers. All played a great game. Chloe won the club tea award for her efforts. Nat won San Piero coffee award for a great game adjusng to different posions. Let's keep the momentum and play well again this week.

A Reserve: We really wanted to work on our start and how slow we have been and unfortunately we were unable to break this cycle against Tant. Our defence were amazing and got a number of rebounds but we were not able to capitalise on them oen struggling in the mid court and aack line. However we regrouped in the second quarter with a few posional changes to regain our confidence and this paid off, Shandeen and Maddison were able to find their groove and open up the circle. Halime we made some more changes and Alisha was able to bring some fresh legs into the aack and calm the storm as such using her paence to move the ball around, however it was clear from the first whistle that our defence were on fire. Krissy was able to put pressure on the shooters all day and forced them to move the ball but they were so accurate no maer how many passes they made they were able to make them count.

Congratulaons to Sim on her milestone game, we love having you in our team and the fact you give your all no maer where we place you.

A Grade: What a game girls. Our highest score yet! This truly was one to say the scoreline doesn't show how well you all played. This game really felt like the things we had been working on were actually coming together. Our shooters moved really well and pulled in some really tough passes and our defence connued to bale away against some high class shooters the whole game without giving up. With only 3 games le, let's finish on a high by making sure we get around each other and celebrate our lile wins and keep the posivity flowing! Best players Alice Circelli and Ebony Wurst.

NETball club notes

Junior 2: Nangwarry handed us some warmer weather last week. The long sleeve tops came off even before we started the first quarter. Right from the first whistle, we came out strong, making the opposion work hard to move the ball into their circle. They scored the first goal, but we answered quickly by scoring not too long aer! Our aacking and defensive pressure connued throughout the game, with countless intercepts taken by every one of the girls. We moved the ball well through the centre of the court and kept the ball within our possession majority of the game. It took a lile while for the ball to decide it needed to go through the hoop, but our strong goalies soon worked it out! I'm proud of all of you for staying composed and playing netball how we know it should be played. You held your heads high and kept smiles on your faces. Lacey, Lilly, Millie, Lexi, Sophie, Myla, Bella & Marlee, Sarah, Edie & Ellie, I can't wait to see how you progress throughout your netball careers, you're all becoming strong netballers! Awards: Millie Grant - South East Property Sales: your defensive pressure was fantasc, you were strong in the goal circle and created so many turnovers! Marlee Bell - Fasta Pasta: Your drives were strong and direct, accurate passing and your kindness and compassion towards the other team did not go unnoced!

Junior 1: Always a lovely day when we play at Nangwarry & last week was beauful netball condions. A solid game from all girls, quick direct passing, staying in our lanes & precision ming. This is what wins games & we are starng to nail it. Absolutely brilliant effort & accurate shoong by everyone who played in goals. Awards went to Gracie (Wendy's) for an amazing effort at WD. Mulple intercepons & intense pressure. The other award went to Stella Perry (Fasta Pasta) accurate at that GS posion as always & also an awesome effort in defence. Perfect team game, proud of all of you. Well done.

13 & Under: Wow what a great game & a good one to reflect our growth during the season. We couldn't hold on in the last quarter to take the win but I am proud that we didn't give up. We are adjusng well to changes & playing 4 consistent quarters. Well done to our goalies Liv, Kailee & Nyree who held strong in the ring & kept us in the compeon. Our flow into our aack was well med & we ulised space on court. Let's keep this up. Liv played a great game at GA & received the McDonald's award. Renae was strong through centre & into our aack receiving our Wendy's award.

15 & Under: Aer several weeks missing members of our team for various reasons this game showed what we are truly capable of when all are available. A really pleasing display, with all girls playing their designated posions to instrucon. Alice (Dentons Sportspower) shone, not only shoong most of our goals (with 13 from 13 aempts in the third quarter!) but down court defensive pressure as well. Well supported by Tamika with good movement and accuracy. Astyn (Devine gis) and Lexi connue their impressive control through centre. Summah rewarded with Wendy's award aer several weeks of sustained improvement. Peyton, thrown into goals

at the last minute with no preparaon, finished her quarter with 4 straight shots. Rachael and Malda connued to frustrate opposion with their understanding, blocking and mely intercepons. Kudos to Nangwarry girls who fought the game out to the end.

17 & Under: Beauful condions for netball and the girls came out with intent. Our first half showed a close contest but all the girls worked hard for every ball and all showed how hard we have been working on our defensive pressure. Molly had a stellar game taking intercepts all over the court along with Kaitlyn who caused havoc at both WD and GK. Demi had a solid game providing drive and great feeds in aack. Kailah began the game in aack and finished in defence and provided some great passages of play and got ps to balls. Poppy and Bethan had a solid game in goals together and worked relessly all game to aack the ball and finish with some great shoong. Malda and Alice came up once again and both played a strong game of netball. Well done girls!

B Reserve: Sll some work to do but it was pleasing to see the results of some different combinaons. Holly (Sassi award) going from strength to strength, Kath and Sally working hard through centre. Lauren, Chloe, Amy and Riley all having solid games. Thanks to Danni for helping Jodie patch Leah (Devine Gis) up - have a feeling we may sll be waing otherwise! Two things were obvious: there was no way any blood could show or seep through those bandages and I think someone had best replenish the first aid box!

B Grade: Last week we played Nangwarry, aer previous weeks loss we were ready to come out with a fresh start and try new things. Everyone has been working towards their goals individually and as a team and they remained posive throughout the whole game. I threw some of my girls into different posions trying out new combos and they all did amazing. Working really hard and not giving up. It was a great game for us to have a win and try new things.

A Reserve: In beer weather condions than what we are used to the Tigers headed to the Saints home ground. The first quarter the Tigers jumped out of the gates scoring over 20 goals, pleasing first quarter to get the game underway Defensive efforts from all on court set the game, with great intensity and speed. This was definitely the best team effort we have put together for the season. Each player should be extremely proud of themselves. Let's finish off the season strong. Best: Kristy Varcoe - Lima and Co, Sophie Bellman - Kelsey Wrights Fitness.

A Grade: Pleasing to see us have a good solid first quarter, something that we have not done in the last few weeks. Nangwarry connued to make us work throughout the game and we adjusted accordingly. Some lovely intercepts and rebounds from Bella (Somerset Award) who was supported well by Kate. Good to see some great drives out of defence from Shelby (Kelsey Wight Award) and Casey. Great to see us mix things up in aack and try some variety in our structure and passing. Lets connue to work on our unforced turnovers in the coming weeks. Thank you once again to all our supporters and volunteers.

Junior 2: In a fantasc display of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship, our girls took to the court and played an impressive match against Robe. While we don't keep score in our junior games, the performance of our young netball stars was nothing short of spectacular From the first whistle, it was clear that our girls were ready to give it their all. The team quickly found their rhythm, with excellent passing and movement. The defenders were rock-solid, making key intercepons and blocking shots, while the aackers moved with confidence, creang numerous scoring opportunies. As the game progressed, the players' enthusiasm and energy remained high. The mid-court players displayed excellent coordinaon, seamlessly connecng defence and aack. There were several standout moments, with players demonstrang great sportsmanship, cheering each other on, and celebrang every small victory together. With only 3 games le in the season, we couldn't be prouder of our girls and how far they've come in just a few short months. They play every week with heart, determinaon, and a true sense of team spirit. Every player contributes to an outstanding game, and their growth and improvement is evident. Keep up the great work, girls! Our encouragement awards went to Desny, who played a fantasc game in defence and to Chelsea who moved beaufully throughout the goal ring and shot some beauful goals. Thank you to Wendy's Mt Gambier and Subway Mt Gambier for donang these awards.

Junior 1: Great game girls. The skills we have been working on at pracce are shining through on the court. You worked together to bring the ball down the court, moving the ball with ease and ming your leads to perfecon. Encouragement awards went to Emily O (Wendy's) who was amazing in the mid court; aacking and defending, and Zoe (McDonalds) who put pressure on the opposion which helped turn the ball over mulple mes.

13 & Under: Port MacDonnell 28 defeated by Robe 37. It was great day for netball in the bay, we had the sun shining bright and the vibe was high for all to bring home some wins. Our Under 13's didn't get the win but there was some great playmaking happening all over our court, parcularly from defence, where we had Torah, Peyton, Daisee and Sharli; a strong getgo from the start with some ps and touches which kept the Robe shooters busy. Sharli in WD made an awesome effort to get the gains, working with the other defences to clear it out of the defence end smoothly. Lucy always ran hard at the ball and never gave up, the movement this young girl has is amazing with her never die atude. In our aack end, Madison and Peyton's feeds into the circle were on point all game. The goalies started off a lile bit shaky at first, but when they got their eye in, they put up some awesome shots. The score didn't reflect on how they all come together as a team. Awards: Peyton BowdKaboom, Madison Carlin - Fasta Pasta.

15 & Under: Port MacDonnell 47 defeated Robe 44. A great game to watch and thankfully we came out on top. What a comeback. It took us 3 quarters to get our groove, but it showed in the last quarter when we come together as a team that we can do anything. A lot of posives to come out of this game and also a few things we need working on. Bailee Lewis had another great game in goals and received The Bay Pizzaria award and Addy Smith put in 100% throughout the whole game, creang many turnovers and geng the Fasta Pasta award.

17 & Under: Port MacDonnell 47 defeated Robe 18. Aer a couple of really tough games, our girls were in need of a win to keep our finals hopes alive. We faced a well performing Robe side on our home turf, the girls determined to get the jump from the start. Despite scoring the first couple of goals, Robe stuck right with us for the first half, forcing some early changes in our lineup. Alicetyn Stanley had another fantasc game, her incredible footwork and ability to posion her body on her opponent in the circle a beauful sight to see. Bree Ridding returned from injury and along with Ruby Moody and Jasmine Morgan, provided excellent drive into our aack line, a focus for our team from the last couple of weeks. Lilly Day was again a focal point in our aack, her developing presence in the goal circle together with her well med leads out into the goal third have become a

pillar of our game. She topped all of this off with a strong rebounding game and accurate shoong. The bay girls came away with the win at the final whistle despite an arduous tussle all game against a strong Robe team. Alicetyn Stanley - Subway, Lillie Day - Bakers Delight.

B Reserve: Port MacDonnell 61 defeated Robe 32. The game began with Robe taking an early lead as we worked hard to find our foong. Passes were a bit off-target, and the pace was slower than usual. However, our defenders held strong, prevenng Robe from running away with the score. Despite a sluggish start, our girls quickly found their rhythm and showcased exceponal teamwork and skill. With renewed focus, our girls returned to the court determined and ready. The mid-court players synchronised their movements, seamlessly transioning the ball from defence to aack. Our shooters found their mark, and by halime, the scoreboard reflected a much different contest. Momentum was firmly in our favour as the third quarter commenced. The team's communicaon and coordinaon were at their peak, with every player contribung to the effort. The defence was impenetrable, intercepng passes and applying pressure. Our defenders were relentless, and our aackers and goalies capitalised on every turnover. The final quarter was a testament to our team's resilience and unity. Despite the inial slow start, the players' determinaon and outstanding teamwork shone through. Every pass, every shot, and every defensive move was executed with precision. The final whistle blew, confirming a resounding win for the bay, solidifying our posion at the top of the ladder Our best players were hard to pick with everyone stepping up and owning their posions, however, Salem Moody had some amazing intercepts and beauful passes and Paige Cawthorne dictated every play and controlled the game whilst running centre. Thank you to The Victoria Hotel, Shipwreck Bistro & Port MacDonnell General Store for donang these awards. Also, a huge thank you to our team sponsors, Cawthorne Fisheries & Michelle Stuckey flowers. With only three games le of the season, we wanted to take a moment to thank all of our spectators and supporters for being at every game to cheer us on, and to our juniors who sit on the bench, step up to play and aend trainings, we couldn't have done it without you all.

B Grade: Port MacDonnell 45 defeated Robe 22. Great game girls! Ash and Stevie got plenty of touches down in defence with the back-up of Kenz and Jess Byrne. Chloe ran hard in centre all game with plenty of touches to her name! And some threading the needle feeds from Tan. Jess and Liv shot well all game again. Let's keep up the hard work with the next couple of games to finish the season off well! Best players: Ashlee Schwereger (Birdie Blue), Jess Byrne (Port MacDonnell General Store).

A Reserve: Port MacDonnell 43 defeated Robe 34. What an incredible fight of a game. We knew what we needed to do to get the win and every single person went out absolute firing and ready to do everything they could. It just goes to show how much we have improved since last me we faced Robe. Defence were sensaonal hunng down every loose ball, geng those lile deflecons and the rebounds. Aack line welcomed Brooke back and all worked hard against tough defence to work it into the circle. We just need to keep doing the work and keep the intensity up. Best players: Lara Wilson (Lima & Co), Bailee Lewis (Victoria Hotel, Shipwreck Bistro).

A Grade: Port MacDonnell 42 defeated by Robe 47. Disappoinng end to a great three quarters, unfortunately we couldn't hold on to take the points. We played three good quarters with some great court structure and plays, our defensive pressure all over court was great. As you all know we need to play four consistent quarters to be able to take the win, we lost that momentum and drive in the last quarter, which put extra pressure on us as a team. We got too fast for our own good and rushed which caused us to make errors and make poor decisions on court. We need to play our own paced game for four consistent quarters even when the pressure is mounng. Best players: Cody Manning, sponsored by Mount Gambier Frozen Foods (VoucherVictoria Hotel), Kate Faint, sponsored by Tyes Plumbing (Voucher - The Bay Pizzaria).

It was the bale of the seasiders at the weekend with Robe taking on Port Mac at home. The game started out a ght contest, Robe goalies Demi Carter & Sarah Laurie were on early, while the Bays Kori Collins & Megan Hein took longer to find their range. Both defensive units were working overmeEmily Thompson got early touches for the Bay at GK, while Alannah Jennings for the Roosters was having an impact in defence. Robe took a slight lead into the quarter-me

break 12-10.

The second term saw Collins & Hein find the goals more readily aer some clever passing from Alysha Coon & Cody Manning. Down the other end of the court - Sarah Laurie was having an exceponal game, moving well & being well fed by the experience of Annie Regnier. Alana Berkefeld was also working hard at GD for the Bay, driving nicely down court & geng plenty of the ball. Port Mac won the quarter and the lead switched with the Demons up by 2 at the main break, 2422.

The third quarter was again an even affair in what was proving to be a great game for supporters and spectators. Robe switched Carter and Laurie, the Demons made no changes. Both teams defensive units were working well - Berkefeld & Thompson geng numerous touches for the Bay & Alannah Jennings & Emillie Gould combining beaufully to create more opportunies for their team. Midcourt bales were also excing to watch - Coon & Regnier had an awesome bale through the centre, while Kate Faint for the Demons and Lucy Perkins for the Roosters were having a great tussle on the wing. Pt Mac took a 3 goal lead into the final break, 35-32.

The final quarter saw Robe go up a geartheir finals chances very much sll alive, they worked hard to try to cement a spot in the top 4. Carter and Laurie were hard to stop, Carter shoong with 100% accuracy for the term. Pt Mac struggled to convert in the last, with Jennings and Gould posioning themselves well for missed shots. Robe shone in the last quarter and showed what they are capable of, seng up a 47-42 win. Best players for Robe were Demi Carter and Alannah Jennings, for the Bay it was Kate Faint and Cody Manning.

Nangwarry 22 lost to Tantanoola 75

The last me these two clubs met, Nangwarry didn't quite seem prepared for the speed and skill of this Tigers team. Sing in the top four of the ladder, the Tiger's have proven their strength in the Mid SE A grade this season. But in this round, the young Saints side were determined to come out stronger and prove that they had improved as individuals and as a team.

The first centre pass may have gone the Tigers way, but aer both teams did all that they could, forcing the ball down both ends of the court, Tant was able to come away with the first goal. The fast moving and strong combinaon of Emma Gould and captain Jami Walker in goals for the Tigers, made the Saints defence work overme. Captain Kayla Gray and Jemma Glynn both worked relessly to get their hands to any rebounds or intercepts possible. But with the help from some beauful passing and movement from Casey Walker in at C, the Saints were unable to stop the Tigers from scoring 17 in the first term. Down the other end of the court though, Nangwarry's WA, Alice Circelli and Maddi Stephens in at C, were pushing themselves to try and help keep the ball down their end. Both players

passes and movement around the circle were impressive, but the Tigers defenders Bella Poulish and Kate Bromley were able to read the ball beaufully and keep the Saints to only 4 for the first quarter

At the first break, Nangwarry were the only ones to make any changes, bringing on Lacey Neale into GS. The Saints started out strong this quarter. Neale and youngster Ebony Wurst were able to find their range in the goal ring, scoring 7 for the second term. Jami Walker for the Tigers used her voice to keep up the Tigers movaon, as did Circelli for the Saints. Taysha Marshall in at WD for the Nangwarry side also kept the encouragement and talk going on the court, helping her team bring any turnovers down the court. Kayla Gray again trying her best to slow down the Tant side, geng her hands to any loose balls. The fast pace of the Tant side had once goen the best of Nanwarry, but this quarter Nangwarry were able to force more turnovers and keep the Tigers to only 14 for this term.

At the main break, both teams made changes. Tant swapping their defenders, Bromley and Poulish. Nangwarry moving the height of Gray into GS and Neale back into GK. The changes for both teams brought out new challenges, but both teams were able to adapt quickly. Poulish was able to use more of the court to read more of the play and take intercepts. Marshall worked beaufully in backing up her teammates and bringing the ball down the court. All of the Nangwarry side never stopped for this third term, showing determinaon and their fight for the full 15 minutes. But the Tant side were able to find their range in the goal circle, scoring an impressive 22. The Saints were able to score another 7 for this quarter, but that score definitely didn't reflect the teamwork or determinaon of the young side.

The final term brought on more changes for the Saints. Sheridan Sakkers coming on into WD, showing that she is not just a shooter and giving it her best shot in defence. Alice Circelli also showing her versality and moving from WA into GA. Wurst was moved into C showing she skill and speed through the midcourt, but Circelli and Wurst using a taccal change throughout the quarter to move back to their posions. The Tigers also using a taccal in this final term, moving Shelby Ryan into WA, and bringing on Molly Cushion. Ryan had been consistent throughout the game at WD and never slowed down aer that move. A couple of injuries to the Saints side, saw young gun Scarle Black coming onto the court at GD and Michelle Richardson into GK. As much as the Nangwarry side pushed themselves and never stopped encouraging their teammates, the Tantanoola Tigers were able to outscore them, 22 to 4 in the final term. Nangwarry walked away with their heads held high as the 22 they scored for the game was their highest score yet and were able to keep the Tigers to 75, improving on the score from the last me these teams met. Final score Nangwarry 22 to Tantanoola 75. Best players for Nangwarry were Alice Circelli and Ebony Wurst, and best for Tantanoola were Bella Poulish and Shelby Ryan.
