RISING FURNITURE ROBERT VAN EMBRICQS

Le designer néerlandais est fasciné par la beauté des formes naturelles, à la fois esthétiques et complexes. Cela l’a amené à développer une approche minimaliste du design qui peut être décrite comme une “collaboration” étroite entre le designer et le matériau utilisé. Le travail de Robert van Embricqs n’est pas seulement agréable du point de vue esthétique, il crée également une interaction avec l’utilisateur grâce à l’utilisation de pièces mobiles dans ses créations. La Rising Chair en est un bon exemple et a été si bien accueillie que Van Embricqs a décidé d’en lancer la production. D’autres meubles similaires ont été créés (Rising Table, Rising Side Table, Flow Wall Desk). C’est ainsi qu’est né “Rising Furniture” qui continue d’évoluer encore aujourd’hui.

Il designer olandese è affascinato dalla complessità esteticamente piacevole, ma intricata della forma naturale. Ciò lo ha portato a sviluppare un approccio progettuale minimalista che può essere descritto come una stretta collaborazione tra il designer e il materiale utilizzato. Il lavoro di van Embricqs non è solo esteticamente gradevole, ma crea anche un’interazione con l’utente utilizzando parti fessibili all’interno delle sue creazioni. La Rising Chair ne è un ottimo esempio ed è stata accolta così bene che Van Embricqs ha deciso di metterla in produzione. Sono stati creati altri mobili simili (Rising Table, Rising Side Table, Flow Wall Desk), così è nata Rising Furniture, che è ancora in evoluzione.

The Dutch designer is fascinated by the aesthetically pleasing, yet intricate complexity of the natural form. This led him to develop a minimalistic design approach that can be described as a close collaboration between the designer and the used material. The work of van Embricqs, is not only aesthetically pleasing, it also creates an interaction with the user by using fexible parts within his creations. The Rising Chair is a great example if this and was so well received that Van Embricqs decided to put this into production. Other similar pieces of furniture were created thus the Rising Furniture was born and is still evolving.
