Professional Experience:

Mr. Azan Marwah was called to Hong Kong Bar in 2012. He has served as Judicial Assistant to the Court of Final Appeal in 20122013. He has been in practice at the private Bar from 2013 to present. He worked as a mediator at the Los Angeles County Courts (2010).

Mr. Marwah has authored and contributed to several law books including “Hong Kong Family Court Practice”, 2ed (LexisNexis, June 2015), “Personal Data Privacy in the Digital Age”, Hong Kong Law Journal Vol. 43/3 (2013), “Drafting Grounds of Appeal in Criminal Cases” (October 2013), “Atkins Court Forms Hong Kong, vol. VIII FAMILY” (LexisNexis, 2015), “Archbold Hong Kong” (Sweet & Maxwell, 2015), “Hong Kong Civil Procedure” (Sweet & Maxwell, 2015). In 2006-2007, he worked as a merchandising manager at DFS Group Ltd.

Mr. Marwah holds a LLB, Hons. and a MSc from London School of Economics. He also received LLB, Hons. from University of Southern California and a Postgraduate Certificate in Law from The University of Hong Kong.

Voluntary Contribution to Hong Kong:

• Honorary legal advisor to Mother’s Choice since 2012 and co-ordinator of Advocacy Program from 2012 – 2014.

• Honorary legal advisor and volunteer at PathFinders since 2008.

• Honorary advisor to the Domestic Workers Roundtable’s Law Enforcement Working Group.

• Co-founded and moderated Hong Kong Public Interest Law forum (HKPIL) since 2013.

• Co-founder, organiser and convenor of the Hong Kong CLIP (Public Interest Law Conference) at Hong Kong University in 2014.

• Hong Kong National Administrator for the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition since 2014.
