Professional Experience:

Mr. Arun Nigam is qualified to practice law in England, Hong Kong, Singapore, India and Australia and has over 30 years of experience in the legal field. Mr. Nigam set up Arun Nigam Associates, a boutique law firm in Hong Kong; in 2009 which has a niche interest in India. Prior to setting up Arun Nigam Associates, Mr. Nigam worked with leading international law firms in London, Hong Kong and Singapore such as Norton Rose, Baker & McKenzie, Freehills and Sidley Austin as a banking, finance, corporate and commercial lawyer and has a wide range of legal experience in England, Europe and Asia. He completed his B.A. (Hons) and M.A. at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge University.

Voluntary Contribution to Hong Kong:

• Member and Director of the Rotary Club of Hong Kong (President in 2004-2005). He was an adviser to the Rotaract Club of Hong Kong University and was also involved in various community service projects (orphanage, hospital, prosthetic limbs and schools) in Sri Lanka and Southern China.

• Executive Committee Member and Vice President of the India Association with a particular focus on the rights and interests of the ethnic minorities in Hong Kong.

• Charter Member of the Hong Kong Chapter of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) which fosters entrepreneurship globally.

• Committee member of the Oxford & Cambridge Society of Hong Kong which organises student scholarships and educational and social events for the alumni in Hong Kong.
