Professional Experience:
Mr. Kishore Sakhrani was a director of a licensed trust company for over 20 years. He focused on helping North American and European companies enter the Hong Kong and China markets by providing a range of accounting, tax and financial services in Hong Kong and China. An important part of this role was to promote the use of Hong Kong as a regional financial centre. He acted as a professional trustee and dealt with an international group of high net worth families. For almost 20 years, he was a Responsible Officer for an SFC licensed investment firm with Type 4, 6 & 9 licenses and was directly responsible for dealing with the portfolios of a broad base of international clients as well as managing the business. Mr. Sakhrani sold his businesses in 2012 and currently focuses on charitable endeavours.

• Board Chair of Community Business Limited, an NGO that focuses on corporate social responsibility issues in Hong Kong and regionally.
• CFO of Shelterbox Hong Kong Limited. A registered charity that focuses on international disaster relief.

Dr. Naubahar Sharif is an Associate Professor at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) with nearly 20 years of experience in innovation and technology development. He has published many peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in highly respected academic journals and has written numerous pieces for online journals, newspapers, and magazines. He has been awarded over HK$3 million in competitive funding from HKUST, the Hong Kong Government and the World Bank. At HKUST, he serves on numerous administrative committees and on scientific committees outside of HKUST. As a member of a HKUST team, he consulted for the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) from 2006–2010. He has won a ‘Best Teacher Award’ in HKUST’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences, and has also been a shortlisted candidate for the university-wide Michael Gale Award for Distinguished Teaching. He earned a Masters of Arts and PhD degrees in Science and Technology Studies at Cornell University, and completed an Executive Education Program from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
