The Patron Program NURTURING ART LOVERS ON CAPE COD
On the surface, the Muhlebachs may not seem like art lovers. They both work in the medical field — Bethany as a clinical research consultant and Stephan as a cardiologist. But delve a little deeper and you’ll find that their careers don’t define their interests. Bethany is a photographer. Stephan is an avid reader. And they both love music; it’s a constant in their Sandwich home where they are raising their two children — eight-year-old Ella and sixyear-old Henry. As recent patrons of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod (AFCC), the family is now able to extend their passion for all things creative a step further. “I like the idea of being supportive of the arts in our community,” Bethany said when asked why her family became patron members of the AFCC. “Even in our schools, with budget cuts, there is so much being taken away from the art programs there. Having young kids and wanting the arts to be a part of their lives, I see the Arts Foundation being able to fill in gaps in programs that might not be available to them in the future.” The Muhlebachs are like many of us on Cape Cod. They understand that arts matter.

All 2017 pieces will center on the theme of “Personal Space”. This event always inspires, giving attendees a glimpse at the creative talent that abounds in our little corner of the state. Pops by the Sea Commemorative Unveiling: Every year, one
piece of fine art serves to capture the essence of AFCC’s Pops by the Sea concert. The unveiling gives you a first look at that piece and direct access to the artist behind it. And There’s More:
