pening acts will include a variety of local Cape Cod multicultural artists, with Brazilian band, Cla Da Bossa Nova, performing a mix of modern bossa nova and samba music; Cape Cod African Dance and Drum, a group notorious for sharing the contagious energy of West African music, dance, and culture; steel drummer Michael Gabriel, whose roots in reggae and calypso can be traced back to his origins in Trinidad; and AFCC 2016 Fellow and mandolin player Alex Brecelis, a founding member of local pop/ folk group Tripping Lily; DJ Sinnetti, whose local and international work have earned him a noteworthy reputation, will serve as Master of Ceremonies. “Our goal for the pre-show event is to celebrate the diversity in the arts and community that make up Cape Cod. We were very thoughtful about the lineup, and we envision this to be a very celebratory afternoon. We hope folks will spend the day with us.� said Julie Wake, Executive Director of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod.
