Lord Krishna had a very good friend called
Sudama who was very poor. Sudama was so impoverished that he couldn’t even feed his children milk or food. Sudama’s wife told him that since Sudama and Krishna were great friends, Sudama could ask Krishna for some food. Even though Sudama didn’t like asking for anything, for the sake of his children, he was ready to ask Krishna for some food. On arriving at Dwarka, he saw Krishna’s kingdom was made of gold. The gatekeepers started laughing at Sudama because of his torn clothes and denied Sudama entry into Krishna’s home.
