No complaints here though, I like the new independent digital game. With Social Media the music business has changed in every way. The transmission of information is light years ahead of the nineties. It’s a different game you don’t have to sell yourself short to get into the game. You can contact your fans directly. You can CONTROL your destiny. Power to the artist Q. Thanks for Interviewing with us! How have things been going with everything going on in today’s society? A. Your very welcome thanks for having me. Things have been very different; I’m used to touring with Bone Thugs 200-250 dates out of the year. But, it has also allowed me to spend more time on the creative side of things and also business with no interruptions. Q. Tell us about your new album “Wanted Dead or Alive”? A. When the title of the album “Wanted Dead Or Alive” came about I was thinking about my legacy as an artist. I felt like as a founding member of Bone whether I’m Dead or Alive the work that I put in would sustain my legacy. But as a solo artist I wanted to put my best foot forward and aim to be legendary in my own right. I feel this is my best solo work to date. Q. Tell us about the song “Blackout” and why you chose that to be the single off the album? A. “Blackout” is not the single, the single is actually “Wanted Dead or Alive” self-entitled off the album. “Blackout” is a song only available on YouTube for free. I couldn’t use it on the album because the track I used was Jay Z’s “Song Cry”. That song was to show unity within Harmony Howse Ent and for our people standing together in solidarity. Q. How much do you feel the music industry has changed as it relates to being active on social media? A. The music business has totally changed with the presence of social media. I started out when you had to go to the stores like Sam Goody and local mom and pop stores to physically purchase either records, tapes or cd’s and the process was slower. Fans used to send mail and
Q. What do you think is missing in the rap game in this new generation? A. I don’t think anything is particularly missing as a matter of fact the new generation seems to have figured out this new wave of technology. I get a lot of my inspiration watching youngsters figure it out. Q. What are some things that you like to do in your free time? A. I don’t really have much free time, I guess I sleep when I do. Between business and family, I’m always busy. I play basketball, read a lot and smoke weed every day.
Q. What other projects are you working on for 2020? A. For 2020 I’ve already released “Wanted Dead or Alive” I have a Harmony Howse Ent compilation that I’m releasing entitled “Welcome to the Howse” I have projects From Stew Deez, Jay Howse, Hc Tha Chemist, Rocky Rock, Big Sloan, Cyrano ESQ 1, Dice, that’s music! working with my sons clothing line called Bad Threat, a new podcast and developing these movie scripts. Q. Do we see you and Bone Thugs and Harmony doing anything in the future? A. I do see Bone doing at least one more album but also our movie The Bone Thug Story will be a heavy collaboration amongst us. And also making our campaign for the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame. Q. I also see that you’ve been in a couple of Independent films like “No Rules” and “I Tried” How was that experience? A. I loved doing those films, I am now looking to do more independent films of my own. I believe acting is a big part of my near future.

Q. Thanks for Interviewing with us. Tell us who you are and where you’re from? A. My name is Image, I’m from Atlanta, Ga. Q. What or who inspired you to be the woman you are today? A. The women in my life along with my experiences throughout my 23 years. Q. Tell us about this new single “Upset”? A. I made Upset when I was Upset, or should I say I was aggravated; I rarely get upset. Lol Dudes just need to understand girls make the world go around. Q. I see you have an EP “RNII (Real Name Is Image) tell us about this EP? A. This EP was a learning experience, I surprised myself. Those were the first 7 songs I ever made legitimately, and this is when I started to find myself and my sound as far as the music world. I’m happy for everything RNII has taught me and I look forward to growing from this project. Most of the songs are party songs which I make a lot of because I love to feel energetic, it makes me think of songs you will hear in the club. Q. What are some of your other hobbies? A. I work a 9-5 for a co-working company. I genuinely love how I get to meet all different
kinds of people. For the business side it is definitely a plus. I also enjoy doing Yoga during my free time. Q. What is one of your favorite T.V. shows? A. I love THE OFFICE & really anything suspenseful or crime related. Q. What are some projects you working on for 2020? A. I would love to have another project completed by the end of the year but let’s hold that down lol. Q. What makes your music and style different from others? A. My pronunciation. When people hear you from Atlanta, they all think of the same sound. Mine is just different. Q. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years? A. The food is very good and the people are 100% Muslim but it’s nice all over the world. Q. What projects are you working on right now? A. I am finishing up my Ep “Street Certified” I have a lot of features from Fredo, Bang, Boosie Haitian Fresh & waiting on Jack Boy for his verse with Joe Green. We just focusing on which tracks to use right now.
Q. What do you think is missing in today’s rap game? A. I think today’s rap game is mostly comedy these guys not built like they are rapping no more. Q. Thanks for interviewing with us tell everyone who you are and where you’re from? A. Thanks for having me. My name is Pauline Jean; I am a vocalist, composer, performing artist and educator. I was born in Harlem to parents of Haitian descent. Q. Who inspired you to be a singer? A. As long as I can remember, I’ve always loved to sing. My inspiration comes from being raised in the church. Whether singing in the choir or listening to a soloist, it always edified me and made me feel as if I were being transported to another realm. My passion to sing stems from an entity greater than me. Q. Tell us about “Aint I a Woman (Singing Truth)” and the meaning behind it? A. I have just completed my latest single and video, “Ain’t I A Woman (Singing Truth)”. It is my tribute to the courageous Sojourner Truth based on her memorable speech during the Ohio Women’s Rights Convention in 1851. She used her identity to point out the injustices of Black woman and slavery. Sojourner Truth legacy was so powerful that it inspired me to write a song that generates awareness of voter registration, women in leadership, gender equality, and violence against women. My hope is that Sojourner Truth will become a household name and that her legacy is celebrated annually to value and build upon her immense contributions toward the advancement of Black women’s rights in America.
Q. What are some things you are doing with the community and getting them to vote? A. I use my artistic platform to stress the importance of voting. The ancestors battled and even sacrificed their lives against voter exclusion and suppression. We must respect and continue to fight for the sacrifices made for such progress and vote. Q. What advice can you give others that want to help with the awareness of voting? A. Congressman John Lewis once stated, “Your vote is precious, almost sacred. It is the most powerful non-violent tool we have to create a more perfect union.” I know that many people

My music stylistically differs from others as I tap into the very core essence of what makes up Pauline Jean. Q. What is one fun fact about yourself? A. Q. Thanks for interviewing with us tell everyone who you are and where you’re from? A. Hey there, My name is DJ Roots Queen, I am a female DJ based out of Atlanta, Ga. I am originally from Tampa, Fl, but I have spent my adult life mostly living in Atlanta. Q. How did you get the name DJ Roots Queen and the meaning behind it? A. I used to tour with a couple different reggae bands. I would DJ an opening set for them in different cities around the south east and Midwest. I was between DJ names at the time (my original name was DJ Manga, but I outgrew that), and the lead singer told the crowd “Everybody Give it Up for The Roots Queen”. At that moment, I knew that was my DJ name. The meaning behind my name stems from my love for reggae and roots music but grew into represent my extensive knowledge of music history. Q. Tell us about Rude Girl Radio? A. Rude Girl Radio, founded in 2013, is an all-female platform that works diligently to bring its audience exclusive interviews, current media events, and the latest in new Hip Hop, R&B, and international music. Rude Girl Radio consistently delivers quality content while remaining true to the brand aesthetic. Q. What has been one of your biggest accomplishments being in this industry? A. From touring with Zaytoven, to djing for some of the most prestigious events and brands, like Red Bull Culture Clash, Maxim Magazine, and BET Experience, to working with some of the biggest artists in hip hop, like Future, Usher, YFN Lucci, and many more, I would have to say my biggest accomplishment is receiving
Q. What do you love about being a DJ? A. I don’t ever have to escape my work to go have a fun time. I have fun at work. Q. What has been the biggest challenge you had being a DJ. A. Being a woman and not “looking” like a DJ was always my biggest challenge. I just spent many years practicing to become 12 different awards for breaking very good to make it work in my records, the most notable being advantage. It can still be a weird Mask Off going 4x platinum. My feeling to see people looking at biggest intrinsic accomplishment is you crazy like you don’t belong becoming a mentor for young men in that space and they do just and women. because they are a male. Q. Can you tell us one fun fact about yourself? A. I am not just a DJ; I produce music as well. My favorite music to produce is dancehall.

My Nickname was “Platano” which is a term Dominicans are typically referred to as, and one day another artist in the label named J.R was recording a song with me when he said “Yoooooo Plot” which was short for Platano kind of hit home with me and at that point I decided Kid Plot would be a much easier way to identify myself with Americans that do not speak Spanish and I’m also known as the Main Event! Q. What made you want to be a Latin Hip-Hop artist? A. My sister Beverly was a singer while I was growing up and listening to her sing developed that love within me to create as well! Q. I see you are in the Atlanta area what are 3 things you love about Atlanta? A. The cost of living, climate and most of my family is here! Q. Who is your favorite rap artist and what inspiration have they brought to you? A. 50 cent! Q. Tell us about your single “Kick It 2 U” and the motivation behind it? A. Well “Kick It 2 U” is a physical manifestation of that genuine pure interest you show in the first stages of love. It was one of those songs that just felt right while we were recording. Everything just came together perfectly. That day was hard for me for personal reasons so to have something so happy and joyful come out of that day really means a lot to me. Q. Who could you see yourself working with in the music industry? A. Personal goals for me would be guys like Jay Z, Nas and many other legends but in all honesty, I would love to work with anyone who likes to have a good time and create in the studio. I’m a big believer in chemistry and you never know who you have it with until you lock in with them and put in work. Q. What new skill or hobby have you picked up since the start of the pandemic? A. Haha believe it or not while most people filled their day with new activities, I just took the time to double down on my music and I been locked in the studio. Q. With Social distancing being the new normal; What’s the next big step for you? A. For me my next step is just to make the best out of any situation life throws at me. Music has always been a part of my life from birth till this person you see now. As far as making my own music, I have to give the credit to my cousins Arash and Jeremy for jump starting my music career watching them do what they do and create drove me to want to do it as well. Q. What has been one of your biggest accomplishments you have had being in this industry? A. One of my biggest accomplishments in this music industry has been gaining some attention from already successful artists and public figures, like Steve Harvey. Meeting Steve Harvey and gaining him as a mentor helped also with my competitive drive to become a great and better person and protect myself when it comes to this industry. Q. What is one fun fact about yourself? A. I’m the energy in the party not always the life but I definitely bring a vibe that’s a most definite. Q. What advice would you give to your younger self in order to pursue in today’s society? A. Stay humble keep grinding stay on top of every goal that you set and believe entirely in yourself. But most importantly KEEP GOD FIRST IN ANY AND ALL THAT YOU DO. Q. How do you feel about everything going on with the Covid-19 and the protesting? A. I think the protesting is definitely needed because although some of the things in the protest like looting and killings I don’t agree with, but shedding more light on the issue that is at hand is needed cause people think it’s a game.
I feel about COVID is that it was planned like everything else the government does so it doesn’t surprise me that they are pushing a new agenda on how to live on the world.
Q. Tell us about your new single and the inspiration behind it? A. My new single “Magnetism” I mean what can I say about it what really drove the Single was just the thought of trying to pull away from something or someone and you just can’t it’s like opposites of magnets you attract each other and pull closer and closer until eventually you right back in love with it or whatever it was that drove you.

Yes, I am currently working on about 3 projects one coming early November one in December and one for 2021 but for now what’s coming is what every artist should be worried about this next project is going to be a problem for most‼️‼️ Q. What have been one of your biggest challenges being in this industry? A. Getting on, getting people to listen, investing and anything you can think of this game is definitely not for the weak. MIMI IVEY Q. How is it juggling the adult entertainment world and your everyday life? A. When I first started in the industry a wise woman told me it’s like any other job you’ll have in life. When at work you are an entertainer and that’s why people come, to be entertained. So, leave your home life at home and leave your work life at work. Since that day I have done exactly that, making it a lot easier to juggle the adult entertainment world and my everyday life. Some days have been harder than others but who doesn’t have a bad day every once in a while. Q. How was the experience doing Celebrity Wife Swap? A. My experience doing Celebrity 24

Wife Swap was exciting, challenging, and very overwhelming. It was my first time being on tv and being away from my children for such a long period of time. Living with a complete stranger in their house and trusting another complete stranger to take care of my children was the hardest part of doing the show. However, the overall experience was very eye opening to my own reality in so many ways. In life, we get accustomed to the way things are and doing this show it helped me realize how our relationship was. Although I loved Coolio with all my heart I was not happy with the state of our relationship at that time. Especially after seeing it from a different perspective.
Q. What were some positives and negatives being on Love Goals? A. There were more positives being on Love Goals than negatives. I knew I had a hard time trusting men but I never knew it was a reoccurring factor from my childhood trauma. I’ am so thankful Spirit helped me realize that. Knowing this has helped me let my guard down a little bit. I still have a long way to go but I’m working on it day by day. I’ve learned so much about myself and my man that’s helped us both grow in ways we might not have been able to if we had not done the show. The counseling was not what I expected but Spirit is absolutely amazing at what she does. The only negative part
about being on Love Goals is the fact that all the cast members became so close to one another while we were there. We truly had a hard time saying goodbye to one another. To this day, we continue to stay in contact and are definitely LOVE GOALS Family. Q. What are some of the things you’ve been doing during Quarantine? A. During the quarantine I have probably done more “Spring Cleaning” then I have done my entire life. I have always kept a very clean and organized home but sitting in the house for so long you start seeing ways you can redecorate. Like the walls could be repainted or I could rearrange the living room, so that’s exactly what I did. I started with one room and ended up redecorating and painting almost the entire house. Q. Have you picked up any new trades or Passions? A. Yes, I have a new passion for cake decorating. I’ve always known how to bake a cake and put some store-bought frosting on it. But one day, I was extremely bored and watching tv. While watching Cake Wars I thought to myself, “I could do that.” So, I started googling ways to make frosting & fondant from scratch. The first few cakes I did turned out ok but looked like a kindergarten project. After practicing a few more times, with a dash of patience and a pinch of creativity, I figured it out. I absolutely love decorating cakes. I find it very relaxing. I get so excited waiting to see the reaction on adults and kids’ faces when they open the cake box and see what I’ve created for their special occasion. Q. How did you get into Modeling and what challenges have you had being a model? A. I was in the right place at the right time. I went to a gig and it kept going from there. I always get mistaken for Uma Thurman and that opened a lot of doors for my modeling as well. It wasn’t even something I ever thought about doing professionally; it just fell in my lap. For me, the hardest part about modeling is holding some of the crazy positions in order to get the perfect shot. Mastering the art of movement without moving. That’s my shit! I love it!!! Q. What is one of your biggest accomplishments you had in life? A. Definitely my children. I know it
sounds very cliché but becoming a mom so young and a single mom on top of it was one of the hardest challenges I have ever faced in my life. I used to second guess myself and wonder if I was being the best mom I could be. Watching them mature into responsible adults has given me great satisfaction knowing that I have given my children the necessary tools in order to have a chance in this crazy world we live in. Q. Tell us about the Mixer Book Launch? A. The book launch was a great success. I was so proud to be part of it. It meant a lot for me to be able to share my story and my beliefs on the importance of educating our kids about predators and pedophiles at a young age. So, they can be aware and better prepared to know what to do. Q. What is one fun fact about yourself? A. I am a huge tomboy! I love sports, especially Football. I like
old school cars, 64-66 Chevy Impala, 1979 Oldsmobile Tornado are 2 of my favorites. I also enjoy being outside and going to the shooting range. Q. How is it being Coolio’s Wife and how do you separate the 2 so you have your own Light? A. We’ve had our challenges over the last couple of years just like any other relationship. We have eleven kids between the two of us, two grandkids and two more on the way that keeps our home life exciting. But on the other hand, we definitely work well together because we are able to separate business from our home life by always supporting each other professionally. I’ve always had my own light in the entertainment world, and this is why we are able to launch a collaborative venture together. Q. What are some projects you are working on A. My manager Katrina and I are in the process of working out some endorsement deals. Coolio and I have several projects in the works i.e... a possible clothing line which would include bikinis and lingerie. I can’t give too much away right now but what I will share with you is, it is something that’s never been done before by a couple in the entertainment world. Q. Thanks for interviewing with us tell everyone who you are and where you’re from? A. My name is Flawless and I’m from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Q. What motivated you to be a rapper? A. There are a few people, as well as ideas, that serve as my motivation to become a rapper. Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Biggie, Jay-Z, and Kanye West have all been major influences on me. I also wanted to become a rapper because I have a lot to say to the people. I’ve learned a lot of lessons in life that I want to pass on to others in a way that’ll be best received. I also want to tell my stories to express myself, and let the people know that there are others that can relate to their situations. Ultimately, I am motivated to be a rapper to create change and invoke thought, while making music that is aesthetically pleasing to listen to. Q. Tell us about your single “Pimpin Ain’t Easy” and why you choose that song to be your single? A. Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy is a song about doing your own thing and no one being able to do what you do. The term Pimpin’ Ain’t Easy, in this context, is a metaphor that means, “what I do is harder than it looks.” I chose this as the single
because, not only is the meaning of the song empowering, it is extremely catchy as well. Make sure to check it out its available now on all platforms. Q. Who is some artist you would want to collab with? A. In 2018, I actually wrote down a list of artists that I want to work with. They say if you write something down, it becomes real. That list of artists included Lil Wayne, Drake, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, 6LACK, and a few more. I enjoy artists that put real time into their craft. Q. What are some challenges you have had being a Rapper? A. There is no destination worth reaching if it doesn’t have a few challenges. My challenges have mostly been exposure related. I didn’t know how to market myself in the beginning. The music I was making was better than the promotion I was doing for myself. What good is good music if no one hears it? Although I’m better than I was to start off, I still have so much room to grow in that department. Q. If you can go anywhere in the world where would you go? A. I’m one of the few people that has probably been to more countries than I have states. I’ve been to England, France, Australia, the Bahamas, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and a lot more. The place I really want to go next is Japan. I love how forward thinking the major cities seem to be, and I want to experience the fashion culture over there up close and personal.
Q. Are you working on any new projects right now? A. I just finished recording for my new project Life Is Flawless. I am looking to release it midOctober. I’m also working on a collaboration project with an artist from New York and another from Tampa, Froze and Nyze. That joint venture is looking to release early in 2021. Q. Where do you see yourself in the next 3 years? A. In the next 3 years, I see myself working with the artists that I have on my collaboration list. I wrote down everything that I plan to accomplish, so they’ll happen in due time. Right now, I just have to continually put in work to continue to grow as an artist. Things always fall into place the way they’re supposed to. Q. What is one fun fact about yourself? A. Listing fun facts about myself is always funny because it causes me to be introspective about myself in the moment. My fun fact is that I love playing thinking games like chess and connect 4. How did you get that name and what is the meaning behind it? A. I was kind of having a hard time to find a name that felt right and that felt like me. Video games have always been a big part of my life so when brainstorming for a new name, my sister suggested thinking about character names from old video games I loved. It instantly sparked a possibility, my favorite which is called “BanjoKazooie”. So, I went with Kazooie since it sounded better to me. Q. What inspired you to be a pop artist? A. I don’t really consider myself an aspiring pop star, I never used to think about what kind of music I was going to make, I just jumped in and sort of found my flow. I think it’s due to the music I’ve always listened to. I’ve always looked up to well-known artists like Michael Jackson or Phil Collins, and even though they have different song styles they fall into the same commercial spectrum of pop. Q. How is your style and music different than others? A. When I sit down to create, I never really think about what I’m going to do, rather than what sounds good and following an idea. By not limiting your mind to a certain genre and writing freely, you create your own sound. Listening to different types of music helps with this, it’s important to keep your ears fresh.
Q. Who is one of your favorite artists? A. It’s always been a tough question, but Phil Collins is definitely one of my top artists. He just has a certain touch or feeling with his music that you don’t hear a lot nowadays. Q. If you could collab with anyone who would it be? A. BTS definitely, I’ve been following them for a couple of years and their work is just amazing to hear and keeps getting better. The K-pop industry is very ahead of many so it will be awesome to work there. Q. What have been a big challenge being in the music industry? A. Getting noticed by the right people is the biggest issue, but if you keep going, you’ll realize it’s all about bettering yourself and you’ll start to get noticed. Q. Where do you see yourself in the Next 5 years? A. Hopefully I’ll have a successful album out, producing and writing for artists internationally, maybe have a Grammy, would be nice! Q. (laugh) I’m from Nashville, TN but have resided in Atlanta, GA since 2007. Q. What or Who inspired you to be a Singer? A. I was inspired by my mother and being around a singing family. Being the son of a pastor, I fell in love with singing. Q. Tell us about your new single “No Filter”? How was the experience on having it premiere on BET? A. No Filter has a rich history. It started off as just a demo. I pitched it to a few major artists and a couple of them even cut the record; but politics kept it from landing. I linked up with Jacquees for a session about 6 months after recording the song, played him a few options and everyone in the room said that was the one. He loved it and after he put his verse down, everyone involved knew it was something special. The overall concept is a celebration of natural beauty. Q. What is one of your favorite songs off your project? A. No Filter is actually my favorite song, right now (laugh). But I love “Way Too Much” ft. Eric Bellinger and “Worth It”.
Q. What do you think is missing in the R&B music world? A. I think clean R&B is missing. That feel good, mainstream music that the entire household can listen to. That’s my niche. Motown did it best back in the day. I want to bring that back, but with today’s sound. Q. How is your music and style different than others? A. I mess with Hip-Hop and R&B. I always have, since day 1. And as I stated, all of my music is clean. I think it’s funny when DJ’s say, “send me the clean version” and I respond, “you already got it” (laugh). Q. Let us know some of the things you like to do in your spare time? A. I love songwriting. I could do it every day. I also enjoy working out, traveling, and basketball. I don’t watch much TV, but I love a good movie. Q. Are there any other projects you working on right now? A. I’m sitting on 3 full albums, but I stay working in an effort to replace every song on each project until my time comes to really reach the masses. Q. Where do you see yourself in the next 3 years? A. I see myself accepting a major award(s) and giving God all of the glory. I’m an independent R&B/ Pop artist from Inkster MI (home of Motown’s first gold record from the Marvelettes), but I now reside in Royal Oak, MI. Q. What made you want to be a singer? A. When I was little I was always running around singing and dancing! I loved Michael Jackson and would always run around with basketball shorts on my head like I had his long hair. I would perform concerts for my stuffed animals and action figures. My uncle James Shorter was signed to L.A Beat records and had some great songs out in the 60’s! My dad used to tell me stories about him, and my aunt was also in a singing group! Music runs in the family! I also got heavily involved in musical theater, which became my career! Traveling the country doing shows like Kinky Boots, Pray the Gay away and Rent to name a few! Singing those songs every night made me want to sing things I wanted to sing about! Q. Tell us about your new single “Feelings or Faded” and the meaning behind it? A. Feelings or Faded is about being in a toxic relationship but not knowing how to get out of it because you love this person, or you think you do. I write all of my own music and I wrote this song based off of some personal experience and some experiences from one of my friend’s relationships. I was in a relationship with someone who got into drugs and that’s the only time he was nice to me. I’ve never done any drugs but a friend of mine and his Girlfriend both experimented
and their relationship got to the point where they would only get along if they were drunk or they were high. I think me being an actor definitely aids in my song writing because I Take my personal experiences from some characters I have played and mix them by the experience of putting myself in other people shoes from listening to their stories! Q. What are some of your most favorite accomplishments? A. Some of my favorite accomplishments were winning the title of Mr. Gay USA Unlimited in 2010 and Mr. Black National In 2014! Yes, I used to compete in male talent and beauty pageants! And I have to say I think being a proud openly gay black man is an accomplishment in itself. Anyone who can live their truth be free and happy should definitely feel a sense of accomplishment. It’s not easy coming out. Another accomplishment I am proud of is back in March I dropped my debut EP “Moods”. I always wanted to have a record out and the fact that it finally happened was a feeling I can’t explain!
Q. Tell us one fun fact about yourself? A. A fun fact, I was vacationing in Mexico and got the chance to swim alongside the world’s largest animal. The whale shark. That thing is 33 feet long and 41,000 pounds! It’s a good thing they are filter feeders and don’t eat other animals or humans because if that was the case, I might not be able to talk to you right now lol!!!
Q. Who could you see yourself working with in the music industry? A. I think Frank ocean is a musical god, So he is definitely the person I want to work with most. Usher, Pharrell, David Guetta, Kash Doll, Bronze Avery. If there are any unreleased tracks from Aaliyah, I would love to sample one of those!
Q. Are you working on any new projects right now? A. Yes!!! Aside from the TV show I am in the process of recording my full-length album. I have about 15 songs recorded so far! Many know me from being featured on National Geographic or my time as a video director as well. Q. What made you want to be a DJ? A. Honestly being a DJ was never a goal of mine, it was just the way the dominos fell. I originally went to SiriusXM as a film and content creator until there was an opportunity to learn this new exciting trade which is a corner stone of the Hip Hop culture “Dj’n”. I took the time to learn and perfect the craft and here we are. Q. What differentiate you from the rest of the DJ? A. Every DJ has his “trademark” sound, mines is transitioning from one song to the next. Every song blends into the next record. It was something I did by accident and became the mark of my particular sound. Q. Who would you consider to be a DJ Legend? A. DJ Kool Herc obviously, without him there would be no us. But, Roc Raider comes to mind. The way he Reinvented the way DJ’s use the turn tables was amazing.
Q. What is one fun fact about yourself? A. My mother’s water broke on the 86th floor of tower 2 in the World Trade Center. Q. Are you working on any new projects right now? A. Yes right now I have my new project as an artist “Any Day Now (The Sequel)”. The project combines ‘Lo-Fi” with an authentic New York Sound. I’m a lover of Hip-Hop Culture, a former ghost writer for P- Diddy, for MCA Records artists, now indie artist with a much bigger mission in the Hip Hop culture. Q. How is the transition from secular Hip Hop into more of a “Kingdom Artistry”? A. I been challenging, well received by many of my old fans and it’s been a good reception amongst my new fans. There is a big financial difference between secular and other genres so that took some getting used to. Overall its more fulfilling to be on this side. Q. Tell us about your project “This Far by Faith” and the inspiration behind it? A. The inspiration came from me being a kid who was raised in Church and sung in the choir and then one day as an adult I realized that everyone who I sung in the choir with was off the path. Some dead and others in jail and so the ones who are left I feel like I can reach through the music. I feel like so many will be able to relate so it’s not just about us, it’s about those who relate to us. We come this far by faith was one of the songs we use to sing in the choir. Q. How was the experience working with Jim Jones on this project? A. Very smooth process. His management is real cool and he was real cool about doing the project and I think it hit home for him because he was raised in the church as well.
Q. Tell us one fun fact about yourself? A. I am a shark tank fanatic, I haven’t missed an episode in about 8 years. Q. What advice would you give your younger self in order to pursue Today’s society? A. I would say Save up and stay sober. Q. What is the most challenging thing working in the music industry? A. The phoniness. I am a genuine person who means what I say. But in the music business people rarely mean what they say, and they also act like your family when you’re valuable to them and the moment you aren’t, you can’t even get a phone call answered. Q. What are some of yours goals for the next 3 years? A. I launched a streaming service called Godify, I want to take it to 1M subscribers. I also plan to build a theatre in PA for people to see biblical plays. Of course, they’ll be music to accompany all these ventures. Q. Who is some artist you would want two collab with? A. I would want to collab with Styles P & Pusha T. Q. What makes your music and style different than others? A. I have this perfect balance of having experienced all the darkness but then being brought into the light. I’m Justin Proulx a 39-year-old music executive from West Palm Beach Florida originally from the Boston area in Massachusetts. I truly like to keep my hands in as many things as I can to keep busy from management, marketing, royalties and publishing collection, music finance, royalty advances, catalog sales, uncollected royalty collection, truly as much as I can. I have always had a strong passion for music since an early age and it’s always been a dream to work in the industry, so it’s truly been a blessing. That’s why I try not to take it for granted for a moment. That and wanting to bring some change to the industry is what keeps me motivated to get up and go get it each day. Q. Tell us about “JusMFMoney Music” and how it got started and what was the motivation behind it? A. JusMFMoney Music Group is a brand I started from the ground up and Actually something that touches a little bit on what I said previously and that I want to bring some change to the industry. The nickname came actually from a funny conversation Between me and two of my artists that I manage MaxxReallyReal and Foxy Brown and just kind of stuck. It’s really going to be a full-service music group/indie label which will have everything the majors offer from management to publishing production marketing etc. The change is There’s always been a reputation of how business is run in the industry and I want to build A brand and reputation that completely deviates from that. Q. When finding artist what do you look for and what do you critique? A. That’s a great question. Now before giving you my answer, I want to put a disclaimer that I am currently not looking for any more artist to manage. I want to keep my inbox somewhat manageable haha It’s really first foremost got to be an organic situation. To really make the relationship and business work you have to
spend so much time together you really have to genuinely like the person and get along with them. So, number one is chemistry. The obvious second is star potential. Does this person have the potential to become a superstar or are they just going to be a local performer. Not that there’s anything wrong with being a local performer but time is money and when it comes to a business there isn’t enough time to dedicate on that. 3rd thing I would have to say is uniqueness. Does this artist Does this artist sound and like everyone else that is out now or is this a fresh sound and look. I would say those would be the three main things I look for. Q. What sorts of work and clients do you find most interesting? A. I would have to say someone with a story and someone who is saying something with some substance. It seems everyone can rap or sing nowadays but really, what is it that you are saying to make you different from the next artist. Those are the artist I find most interesting. Q. Being in the industry what is 3 of your biggest pet peeves you have? A. Great question haha number one biggest pet peeve in the industry Is the absurd amount of DMs I get simply saying “Let’s work” .... Work on what?! Just for the readers that is the worst possible message an executive in the industry can get. If you aren’t even willing to take the time to write out a complete message how are you really going to put in the “work”. Number two and three is number one that’s how bad number one bothers me haha. Q. What is one fun fact about yourself? A. Fun Fact that no one knows is I can play Nas “Ny State of Mind” on the piano. Literally The only song I can play on it haha. Q. Tell us something challenging that managers go through behind the scenes? A. I would say one of the most challenging things that nobody ever really talks about or a fan would ever be able to see from the outside looking in would have to be managing the personalities. You work so closely with the artist that you become family with them.... you have to be, to be able to be
successful at what you’re doing together. However, it’s a business at the end of the day and when You mix family and business it can get tricky. So, you have to navigate through that which can be difficult at times. At the end of the day though I love what I do and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world and nothing in life that is great comes easy. Q. What are your goals for the next 3 years? A. Some of my goals for the next three years really revolve around me bringing my artist MaxxReallyReal to the next level and breaking him out to become the superstar he deserves to be. So, step one we want that first gold record. Step two platinum. Step three once this crazy Covid situation is over sold out tour. I have so many goals on top of that as well, like I was mentioning earlier I try to keep myself so busy but that’s priority number one to me right now. Q. Are there any new projects you are working on right now? A. Yes, I’m glad you ask. We are currently working on so much! We have an entire project for MaxxReallyReal with videos already wrapped up that I’m so excited about. This new project is going to have People going crazy. It’s going viral. Q. Thanks for interviewing with us tell everyone who you are and where you’re from? A. It’s my absolute pleasure! My name is Jamar Langley and I’m a guitarist/singer-songwriter. I’m originally from Andrews, SC which is a small, but progressive town in South Carolina. Q. Who have been your biggest supporter and inspiration in being in the music industry? A. My biggest support and inspiration always stemmed from my parents who taught me to be intentional about my passion and message, along with my siblings. Of course, my label Chevi Muzic Universe inspires me to tap into the root of my talent and gift. I mostly appreciate the fans that inspire me through they’re amazing responses to my music. It’s such a blessing! Q. Tell us about your single “Highlight Girl” and the motivation behind it? A. Highlight girl is a record that inspires us as men to acknowledge the woman as the queen, and to see her as a jewel. She is what motivates us to want to give her the world. What motivated me to write the record was my drive to let all women know that they are important, and the presence of them could light up any dark place.
A. I see myself working with talents such as, Elle Mai, H.E.R., Chris Brown, Bruno Mars, Charlie Puth, my little sisters Zonnique and Bahja Rodriguez (again) John Mayer, and even the legendary Sade’. Honestly, I would love to work with a lot of artist that aren’t on this list as well. I’m basically an open music book! Q. What new skill or hobby have you picked up since the start of the pandemic? A. Well I didn’t pick up anything new, but I was able to do some of what I love to do such as fishing, and little basketball, but most of my time was spent creating new music and content. Of course, with the uncertainty of the times, I strive to take full advantage of the time and fully utilize my passion for the art of music. Q. With Social distancing being the new normal; What’s the next big step for you? A. The next big step for me is to continue to create a visual depiction of my life and my

Yes, the album “In My Dreams” is a blend of the vibes and feel good nature of yesterday in today’s music world. I wanted to introduce all of me to my listeners and show them that there is an artist out here that creates music that you can feel and fall in love with again. From the married couple to the single lady that may need a little reminder, I’m here to serve you through a musical experience! My favorite song right now is “LifeLine”, but that changes every day! Currently, I am putting something very special together for everyone that will create a stamp in the music industry, the black community as a whole, and even my hometown community! Q. Thanks for Interviewing with us tell everyone who you are and where you’re from? A. Well my name is Tony Snow and I’m a professional tattoo artist that has traveled the world tattooing. I’m Cuban raised in Miami now residing on the south side of Atlanta. Q. How did you get the name Cuban Gorilla and what is the meaning behind the name? A. The name Cuban Gorilla kind of just fell on me lol being that I am Cuban and I’m pretty big in stature I’m 6’3 330 lbs. so I’m built like a gorilla. My cousin June Dalink actually gave me that name. Q. What or who inspired you to want to get into the Tattoo Business? A. I was always an artist. I basically started with graffiti and eventually spiraled off into airbrushing then tattooing. I really didn’t take tattooing seriously up until maybe 2010 which is when I dove in headfirst. Q. Tell us about some of the conventions you have done? A. I do about 20 conventions a year. Most of them are on the entire eastern seaboard. From Florida to New York. The fun ones be like New Orleans because of the party factor. I also did one in Gettysburg which was spooky since there’s a lot of rumors of civil war ghost.
Q. What are some of your other hobbies? A. As far as hobbies I am a certified carpenter, so I play with that a bit. I’m also a food connoisseur. I like to eat and drink. Q. Are you working on any new projects? A. At the moment I’m currently assisting a friend in opening a second location of Pur Ink in Stone Mountain. Also, I’ve been upgrading my home as well. Q. Who are 3 of your favorite tattoo Artist? A. Wow to limit my all-time favorite artist to 3 is hard. I would have to say Poch, Timmy B and Jordi Pla. Proud to say I’m friends with all 3 of these guys. Q. What is the biggest challenge being a tattoo artist? A. The biggest challenge in being a tattoo artist is not having artistic freedom when dealing with hard customers. The tattoo industry has taken a huge downfall because scratchers been undercutting professional artist and the music industry has been promoting horrible tattoos for years, so people rather have ink on their skin than actual art. Q. What would you say have been one of your biggest accomplishments in life so far? A. I believe the biggest accomplishment in my life has been my current one. The transition from being on the streets not caring for anything to becoming an awardwinning artist, successful and a proud family man. WIBMAGZ
