The construction industry accounts for 40% of the UK’s total emissions, and the sector is changing rapidly to reduce its impact on our environment. Awarded by Pearson/Edexcel Advanced Construction Skills Centre One year, full-time This course is an entry-level introduction to the world of construction. You will complete a series of carpentry, brickwork and wet trade assignments, as well as studying English and Maths at the right level for you and developing your employability.
Awarded by City & Guilds Ashley Down Centre One year, full-time This course teaches students fundamental electrical installation skills, including making a circuit, costing a small repair and drawing a plan of a room. You will also undertake work experience to develop your practical skills.
Awarded by EAL Ashley Down Centre One year, full-time This course is an introduction to working as an electrician, and combines theoretical and practical elements. You will learn basic electrical installation, science, communication, calculation of components and safe working practices, as well as English and Maths at the right level for you.
Awarded by EAL Ashley Down Centre One year, full-time This course is for students progressing from the Electrical Installation Diploma Level 2. You will learn the advanced skills needed to qualify as an electrician, and progress into a higher-level apprenticeship or employment.
