Below you are going to read a paraphrase of a story written by a man named Jim. This was compiled from a reading of Jim’s chapter in the book called Parentectomy, by Christine Giancarlo. Jim is a father of four beautiful children Jason, Nancy, Jennifer, and Marie He is always trying to be the best dad he could be all the way from working several jobs at once so his wife could look after the kids, to playing the guitar for his youngest daughter who suffers from developmental disabilities. He and his wife started to have a rocky relationship which included arguments, the pastor coming over to help, all the way up to the cops getting involved. Jim had a hard enough time as he was the only part of the couple that did any sort of parenting. His kids would start to dislike him for this as he was the only one being responsible. This made the kids favor the mother’s side always. His wife did whatever she could to make him look like the bad guy in every situation. It got so bad that Jim got probation time where it was almost impossible to ever see his kids because she made sure of it. Lies would be made to the cops that he was court ordered not to see his children when in reality he was only to stay away from his ex. Over time the distance between his kids made his youngest daughter Marie's health slowly start to diminish as the mom was not supportive
