On June 27, 2020, over 30 people from around the division gathered onto a Zoom meeting to make cute dog toys! All that was required were a handy pair of scissors and an old T-shirt to participate. The goal was to make as many toys as possible to donate. From 2:00-3:00pm, everyone sat and started cutting up their shirts to braid into toys. The instructions to make each toy were simple and easy to understand. To start off, the shirt would be cut up into narrow 1-2 inch strips. Once the shirt was all cut up, you would take three strands to tie together into a braid and that’s all there is to making a fun toy for dogs! Throughout the service event, music was playing in the background and members were able to socialize, which made the event more exciting. Many members had their cameras on as well.

Despite not being able to meet and experience a typical service event, having a virtual service event was just as amazing and fun. These braided dog toys will be taken once quarantine and social distancing are halted, and given to local dog shelters!
