A prisoner is sent to a labour camp in China’s desolate northwest during the country’s Cultural Revolution. Using his wit, and with the sole purpose of seeing a newsreel containing a glimpse of his daughter, he escapes.

En este cortometraje, Carlos Saura crea y recupera más de una treintena de imágenes, dibujos y fotografías que imprime, manipula, con las que juega y luego filma, para crear una historia que, si bien recrea la Guerra Civil española, también podría reflejar los horrores de una guerra universal, desde la mirada de un niño y su entorno. In this short film, Saura creates and recovers more than thirty images, drawings and photographs that he prints, manipulates, plays with and subsequently films, to produce a story which, while recreating the Spanish Civil War, could also reflect the horrors of universal conflict, seen through the eyes of a child and his surroundings.
