Nowhere To Go But Everywhere

2011n Japonia iparraldea suntsitu zuen tsunamiaren ondoren, Yasuok emaztearen telefono mugikor arrosa suntsitua aurkitu zuen, inoiz jaso ez zuen mezu batekin: “Etxera nahi dut joan”. Mezu horrek bere bizitzako misioari ekitera bultzatuko du Yasuo: emaztea aurkitu eta etxera ekartzea. Rotterdamgo jaialdian aurkeztutako film laburra. Tras el tsunami que en 2011 arrasó el norte de Japón, Yasuo encuentra el teléfono móvil rosa de su esposa con un mensaje que nunca llegó a recibir. “Quiero ir a casa”. Este mensaje impulsa a Yasuo a emprender la misión de su vida: encontrarla y traerla a casa. Cortometraje presentado en el Festival de Róterdam.

After the 2011 tsunami that ravaged Northern Japan, Yasuo discovers his wife’s mangled pink cellphone with a text message that never reached him. “I want to come home”. This message propels Yasuo on his life mission: to find her and bring her home. Short film screened at the Rotterdam Festival.

Piaffe

Eva foley-artista barnerakoia da eta zailtasunak ditu zaldi bat duen iragarki baterako soinuak sortzeko. Hazten hasi zaion zaldi-isats batek ahaldunduta, botanikari bat limurtuko du mendetasun-joko baten bidez. Piaffe kontrolerako, generorako eta artifiziorako bidaia bizi bat da. Filma Locarnon lehiatu zen.

Eva, una introvertida artista de efectos sonoros, tiene dificultades para crear los sonidos de un anuncio en el que aparece un caballo. Empoderada por una cola de caballo que ha comenzado a crecerle, seduce a un botánico a través de un juego de sumisión. Piaffe es un viaje visceral hacia el control, el género y el artificio. La película compitió en Locarno.

An introverted foley artist, Eva struggles to create sounds for a commercial featuring a horse. Empowered by a horsetail growing out of her body, she lures a botanist into an affair, through a game of submission. Piaffe is a visceral journey into control, gender, and artifice. The film competed in Locarno.
