Coif and Cognac

Dr. Sofiya Sujad and Sabiha Ali, in association with Kingsmen Barbershop, curated a unique launch event of luxury men’s salon Kingsmen at Banjara Hills and The Detailing Mafia’s avant-garde peel-able paint, Clarity Coat. The event was called Coif and Cognac. It was strictly by invite and followed a cocktail dress code. It was an evening celebrating all things fine: Cars, Cognac and Classical music. Fashioned along the lines of the old English barbershop. The evening was a homage to style, chivalry and luxury. Many well known faces from the city were present at the do. Guests were treated to a royal spread, with signature spirits and hors d’oeuvres served amidst a live saxophone performance by George Hull. TULIP - MARCH, 2021 11

Three things you love about your profession. a) I love how I can be artistic, expressive and create unique looks for all my clients. b) The best feeling is seeing my clients overjoyed when the makeover makes their day. c) Educating upcoming makeup artists and the sense of fulfillment I get while teaching. Tell us something about yourself. I’m a professional makeup artist, self-taught, and have been working in the beauty industry since last six years. My interests include traveling, trying out new cuisines, spending quality time with my family and friends. Three beauty secrets you want to give to our readers. a) Always keep your skin hydrated, drink a lot of water and eat a lot of fruits for the glow. b) Never go out without a sunscreen! Apply sunscreen everyday to protect your skin! c) Also, the most important, always remove your makeup before going to bed. What was the motivational force behind becoming an independent makeup artist? I’m so very grateful to my parents and my friends for being my support through all these years, they’ve encouraged and motivated me to pursue my passion which is now my profession. I am truly indebted to my parents for all the love and support. One habit you would like change about yourself. I think I’d like myself to start eating healthy and eat on time. As I have a busy schedule, I often postpone my meals and I’d like to have a proper schedule for that. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years? I’m the type of person who goes with the flow, I adapt to the changes around me.However, I hope five years down the line I’m more successful in the beauty industry, exploring and traveling more and making memories with my loved ones.

Apart from makeup, are there any other activities you majorly take interest in? I enjoy cooking, dancing, painting, DIY projects and designing clothes.

Any suggestions for upcoming makeup artists? Ans: My advice for upcoming new makeup artists would be to stay true to your art, practice makes you perfect and there is no shortcut for hard work. When you love what you’re doing, have fun and enjoy working, you’ll have a fulfilling profession If not a makeup artist, what would your alternative career option would be? If I wasn’t a makeup artist, I’d definitely be a fashion designer. I’ve always wanted to be one; and hence graduated with a degree in fashion design. However, makeup became my calling and it happened. So, I think I’d be still in the creative space but in a different arena.

The Most Beautiful Of Hyderabad

The word “beautiful” means more than having just a pretty face. It holds more meaning than you think. The famous saying “beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder” does seem to reflect the enriched human culture, nature and perceptions of what beautiful is. And breaking those perceptions and prejudices of these age-old norms and standards of beauty, here are some Boss Women of our city, talking about breaking these biases and embracing themselves, as they are. - By Masooma Fatima

EXCLUSIVE | “Growing up, I heard a lot of “you have nice features” and I instantly knew that it separated my skin colour from my features. It left me confused. However, today I want to go back and tell my 8-year-old self, my 15-year-old self, my 25-year-old-self that ‘You are beautiful in all that you are’, because I know that my colour does not define me. In fact, it is who I am - it is my confidence, it is my beauty, it is me!”.

| EXCLUSIVE “I come across as a confident person, but more than so often than not I am just pretending to be one. I’ve always been very insecure of the way I look, call it ‘imposter syndrome’. Not people spot it because I camouflage it really well. This is a deep secret of mine; I finally feel comfortable as sharing about it with someone has made me realize as to how beauty is very subjective and it fades out, what remains is your inner beauty and every day I strive to be a beautiful person from within. There’s often a checklist of how a beautiful face should be; big eyes, sharp nose etc. I feel I don’t tick even one of those boxes, but I am decently fair and I embrace it as much as I can for the other pretty features, I feel I don’t have. All I do now is not wear make-up and wear a big smile. Kind and Happy is my new definition of beautiful”.

My skin colour has been the source of many insecurities in my life, but realized this is a part of me and nothing can be changed. I accepted myself and my insecurities. Beautiful has nothing to do with skin colour. Being brown is a part of who I am. We wear our confidence on our shoulders and rock the world”.

” As a child I was very under confident and insecure, especially about my height. More often than not, my family members and relatives make comments that get under your skin. It was a long journey, going from loathing to loving my body, but from what I’ve learnt, it’s that there are a lot of things that define you- your personality, your vibes, your belief system and much more. Height? Not so much. In my opinion, nothing about your physical appearance defines you”

A big shout out to all those who feel awkward because they are taller than usual, who are tagged or named after tall creatures, or whose relatives find ways to hammer a nail on their head. Yes! That’s been most of my childhood. But once I learnt that being tall turned into my identity, something people around me actually envied, I’ve started enjoying it and more so accepted my uniqueness as a boon”.

My thinness isn’t a problem that needs to be corrected. Skinny doesn’t mean sick. Curves aren’t a measure of femininity. Being petite doesn’t make you any less of a woman. I am a slim girl and today, I accept and love my body just the way it is. I am petite. I am lithe. I am woman”.

“All these years, I’ve embraced my body, and being in Fashion, it’s been quite easy to dress my body. Curvy dressing has always been a taboo, because a lot of people comment on how you look. But for me, it’s always been about my Grace and motivation to wear the latest trends and fashion. I’ve always been a sucker for mixing- matching, wearing things out-of-the-box, and those eye-rolls suddenly became appreciative head-turners, and compliments on well I carry myself and my body came pouring in. When you’re confident about yourself it shows in every aspect. So, don’t worry about ducking your curves, Flaunt them and make your Mark!”.

32 MARCH, 2021 TULIP

COVER STORY | Having spent 10 years in this field is a milestone you’ve achieved, how has the journey been so far? It has been tremendous, and still enjoy doing it. I have not had any regrets of taking up this career. I get to meet a lot of new people, and work on different faces. This works makes me happier because, I am able to make people happy and good about themselves, once I get to work on them, and that feeling is very rewarding. A journey this long must’ve had its ups and downs, what is the most important lesson you learnt from it? Frankly, there wasn’t much competition when I started out in this field, compared to now. Nowadays, you see such talented and fabulous makeup artists on social media, and that is intimidating a little, but at the same time I believe in my work, talent and the experience I’ve gained so far. The most complex part was decision-making. Fashion industry has a lot of departments like styling, makeup, working with brides or working for actors and actresses. Initially, I worked on everything, from shows to movies and fashion shows, but later on decided to become a freelance artist. This way I get to meet a different people and work on different projects, rather than just working a monotonous routine. And working on my own terms is more enthusiastic and satisfying to my creative self How would describe your signature look? Just one word: Minimalism. I personally believe in making people happy about themselves and fall in love with their looks, by only enhancing their features. I don’t believe in changing the whole look or facial features to make someone look beautiful. So yes, I love to be minimalistic. What element of your work do you enjoy? Has to be the hustle and bustle. I love being in middle of the chaos. Be it backstage of a fashion show or working on a shoot, the behind-the-scenes mayhem makes me really enthusiastic and brings out the best creativity in me. I also love to work quicker, when I’m doing a look and there’s limited time to finish it, the adrenaline rush I get at the last moments just push me more towards performing better. What is the most challenging look you have had to attempt in all these years? In terms of creative aspect, I’ve worked with most of the ace designers like Tarun Tahiliani and Manish Malhotra, so my work had to be up the runway standards. I had to make sure that my makeup complimented the model’s whole look and satisfied the designer’s own vision. I had also done make up for a girl, whose face had burnt when she was a child. And I got the opportunity to work with her, and just bring out the beauty that was already in her. That was probably my most memorable moment of my work.

artist can also become a stylist or vice versa. I remember Mickey Contractor, one of the biggest names in Fashion industry, for a movie had done everything, from styling, clothing and makeup. That is really awe-inspiring. Anyone can do that; you just need have that sensibility towards what goes with what and what doesn’t. When I started out, I styled the stage dancers for Shammak Dawar’s dance groups. I did makeup and styled my clients. Later on, I decided to stick to makeup and focus on that, but if anyone asked for pointers or advices in styling, I still do help in that and don’t restrict myself to just one department. Share something about yourself that you want the world to know. I Just want to thank everyone who chose to work with me, and I am really thankful to people who liked my work and encouraged me. I just want to say I’m really blessed that people still like and believe in my work. At what point in life did it become clear to you that this is the field/career for you? Probably after 2010 or 2011, I took a strong decision to be in this career. Before that I was juggling different careers and options, but this just felt right. And I decided to stay in Hyderabad and focus on building my career here, and ever since I’ve only looked forward. What is beauty for you? Everything around me. God’s creations are mesmerizing and there’s inspiration in everything you see. Whenever I visit new places, meet new people, there’s beauty in everyone, inside out. And that’s something that inspires me creatively as well. What inspires you, even today to get up and go to work? Ironically, though I’m an introvert I love to meet new people and work on new faces. I’m quite shy, but when you give me face, then that’s my canvas. Like I said, beauty is made by God, and I really admire beauty. So being able to work with that beauty, and just be my creative self is what inspires me every day. How has social media influenced the Fashion Industry? It has influenced to a really large extend. It’s basically made everything mainstream and approachable. Like when I started posting my work on social media, received compliments and recognition for it, it just gave me a larger audience to display my art. Now you see all the young and talented makeup artists on social media, and how well they present themselves, and you realize that social media has completely revolutionized the industry and how it functions. It also inspires me to be more creative and enthusiastically. Instagram : @sandyartistry

How co-dependent do you think the aspects of Styling and Makeup are? Styling and Makeup go hand-in-hand. Of course, a makeup

COVER STORY | A journey of 10 years must’ve had its ups and downs, what is the most important lesson you learnt from it? And any advice for the millennials? Life teaches you many lessons at every single juncture and I think it’s hard for people, especially the younger lot to appreciate life while recognizing the full worth of your hardships. The mistakes that you make and your failures are the key to appreciating and understanding this journey. As in my case, I think we all need to understand that it’s ok if you don’t want a ‘conventional career’, at least back in the day when I started. Do what you like the most, choose what you can give your best to and only that will keep you happy. and while nothing is perfect, it’s important to work on yourself, most importantly invest in yourself to position yourself to reach the goals you desire. Over the years I’ve also learned to say NO, don’t be afraid to say no, or don’t feel pressured to take on work you don’t want and I took a lot of risks early in my career which I think made me a strong entrepreneur that I’m today. Also, it’s extremely important to stay humble and be grateful for the little joys life brings you. When did you discover your love for makeup? At what point in life did it become clear to you that this was the career/field you wanted to work in? I always found beauty in things around me. I was a very observant child, and noticing details have forever been a part of me along with trying new and different things. I used to experiment with everything possible, be it stitching my doll outfits inspired by the high fashion clothing from the ramp to doing my moms hair by stuffing in a sock after closely observing the popular English dramas. The thought and mindset of creating and transforming have been the only constant in my life. Makeup artistry meant being my natural self and doing what I love the most - creating and transforming! After arming myself with necessary exposure through my 4-year stint in the corporate world across various verticals like customer service, sales and marketing, I decided to take a plunge into this industry after the birth of my son back in 2011 What is beauty for you? I strongly believe that Beauty is purely a reflection of your inner self your mind, your heart, your soul and your thoughts. It’s a reflection of your outer self as well whether it’s through makeup, clothes, workout, learning a new skill or anything that makes you feel good! Beauty is not about changing yourself to achieve the ideal version of yourself or be more socially acceptable. Real beauty is about honouring the beauty within you. It’s about knowing that someone else’s definition of ‘beautiful’ has no hold over you. How has social media influenced the makeup industry? Positively as well as negatively. it has certainly played a pivotal role within the Global MUA industry, a profession which was more or less vocational and looked down upon suddenly became this most sought after. The secrets of the industry were shared with the world through social media! Techniques and practices used by artists from the movie industry which were considered to be ‘secrets’ were now available to the masses and this was only because of Social Media, it gave this profession a new face and identity and took it to a whole new level. On the other hand, it does set some wrong precedents of beauty, one also needs to understand beauty is not just physical, beauty is within you and you need to accept and embrace your true beauty regardless of the colour, texture and form

What challenges did you face when started in this field of work and how did you overcome them? I took my first step with a lot of passion as well as uncertainty. When I started, there was no benchmark to evaluate myself or my brand against. There was no such thing as a ‘Bridal Makeup Artist’ as this was a whole new industry that opened up due to social media and I had immediately realised that things are not going to be easy when you are pioneering something so radically different. So all I did, based on my previous work experiences was to divert my focus around four key things - Striving for perfection, Consistent innovation, Ethical practices and ensuring that we’re tirelessly providing the ultimate levels of customer experience, and of course mixed with a lot of hard work and passion. Along this journey, we established practices and policies that have been shaped by our experiences, both good and bad. These now act as reference points for anyone starting. We not only established our brand but also played a key role in establishing Bridal Makeup Artistry as a profession. At times you do feel low, demotivated and disconnected when things don’t work out in your favour but you have to understand that every business will have its ups and downs and surprises. So I’ve always reminded myself that it’s about the journey and not the destination alone. Having a positive attitude and positive perspective makes a lot of difference What is the future of the brand ALIYA BAIG? While the first decade was about setting the tone and establishing a foothold, we are now looking to write some exciting new chapters. We’ve always asked ourselves how can we push the bar higher, be innovative and disrupt the industry that we have pioneered a decade back. We went back to the drawing board and this time armed with the experience of the craft and a holistic understanding about the persona of our clients as well as their demographics and psychographics and now we are gearing up for our next phase, where we’d be targeting new audiences across various mediums and be so much more global than ever. Over the coming years, we will be launching new products and services across both mediums, with never seen and felt before experiences and you’ll be hearing more about this in the coming months. We will also be shortly disclosing one of the key projects that we have worked on for the last 3 years Did you face any objection from your family when you started working? I’ve been brought up in a family with a lot of values and traditions and most importantly common sense. I have been fortunate to have a father who believed that women are on par with men across professional and personal distinctions. The best part is that I never had to convince anybody including my husband since they believed in my choices and decisions regardless of the outcome. I think it’s important that you let people make their own choices than being overprotective, measured and worry about failure Who has been your pillar of support throughout your journey? My husband has been there throughout the personal and professional highs and lows over the last decade. I strongly believe that there are two essentials to any entrepreneur - confidence/belief and support, he gave me both at the beginning of my career and continues to do so. He always believed that whatever I do, I will do it with commitment, passion and professionalism. He has been an integral part of this journey and without his motivation and support I wouldn’t have been able to focus and build an organization of this scale. As we walked through the doors, we were awestruck by the beautiful and subtle interiors of the place. A little greenery at the entrance set forth an aura of calmness. The wooden accents, textures and a huge window overlooking the city, welcomed us and we sank right into the plush styling chair, ready for a relaxing make-over. They have an extensive range of services. From Haircuts, Hair Spa, Keratin treatment Hair Rebounding, Deep conditioning for damaged hair to Face massage, clean up & facials, Nail treatment & extensions and the much-needed Body massage. Beard Styling and treatment for the men. And a whole grooming package for Bride and Bridegroom. You have a plethora of choices to choose from. We went in for a much-needed body massage, deep conditioning for dry hair, and the much-recommended O3 facial. The massage was extremely relaxing and rejuvenating. The masseuse was a genius in her work and knew the pressure points well. The experience left us wanting more! After that for the deep conditioning, the staff helped u pick out the right shampoo and mask for the hair type and refrained from recommending any needless treatments or products. We were delighted with the results, as the hair were silky, smooth and bouncy. The facial was simply the best we’ve ever received. The products used contained no harmful chemicals and had no side-effects on the sensitive skin. You can actually feel the skin rejuvenated and glowing. Their therapy and hair treatment are something you shouldn’t miss when you come over for your make-over. The staff was exceptionally professional in their approach. They listened carefully to my needs and suggested services accordingly. Flawless Base with Shravya Shetty A flawless base is extremely important if you want your makeup to blend well and stand-out. I create a very natural looking base by complying to these steps: 1. I don’t draw contour lines directly onto the skin, instead I take the product on beauty blender or buffing brush and blend to create a seamless contour, that looks refreshingly natural. Don’t rush the blending process, spend required amount of time and blend with patience until you achieve your desired result. 2. I set the face with a setting spray as soon as I finish the base, as it fixes the contour and makes sure the make-up doesn’t smudge. After the spray, I run a clean blender, gently all over the face, so it absorbs all the excess product, and gives an even, perfect base Instagram: @ makeupbyshravyashetty

| SPECIAL Smudge-Free Kohl with Aparna Achuthan Smudged Kajal is always heartbreaking, especially when you have oily skin. You’ll find a lot of tricks and tips to fix a bleeding kohl, but most of them don’t work. Here’s my secret to have smudge-free, Kohl-rimmed, beautiful eyes, that only need 2 beauty products and one simple procedure: 1. After applying the kohl on the waterline of the eyes, lock it in with a matt finish dark eyeshadow with a clean brush. By doing this, you make sure the kohl doesn’t smudge due to wear or through the oils of your skin. Always remember to dust your face with setting powder, so that it absorbs excess oils and products Instagram: @ aparnamakeupartist

Perfect Wings with Namrata Satwani Perfect winged liner is dream that looks real difficult to achieve, but by following these few steps you can get closer to achieving it. Before you start mapping out the shape for your liner, remember to look straight into the mirror and follow these steps: 1. I like to apply mascara before the liner, as it gives a better sense of how far out to lift the liner. This mascara tip is helpful to get an edge or a starting-point for your liner. 2. I start drawing the liner from the middle of the eye, rather than the end, so as to get the necessary elevation and angle. Do short strokes and build your liner patiently. Also keep the liner closer to the lash line. 3. Lastly, draw one little flick at the end and work your way towards the lash line. I suggest finding an angled brush with a fine tip, as it’s easier to control and manage the perfect line every time. Always keep a Q-tip handy, in case you need to clean any smudge. These advices are definitely helpful, but you will be able to achieve the desired perfect winged liner only through patience, precision and lots of practice. Instagram: @namratamakeupartistry

Nose Contouring with Gazal Surana Make-up done right, can alter the dimension of your face. Defined cheekbones? Bigger Eyes? Plumper Lips? Anything is possible when you know which areas to emphasize with little contour at the right places. Similarly, Nose Contouring can look tricky, but is actually very simple if you do it with patience and practice. Firstly, make sure your base is finished and done with. I prefer to use simple techniques, rather than making a big fuss about it, so I just use the fingers and small brush for this. Apply a little bronzer on the thumb and index finger, then run them along the length of your nose, blending it softly with a clean brush. Then dab a little bronzer under the tip of your nose. If there’s excess of product, just pat gently with a beauty blender. Make sure to look straight into the mirror while doing this, so that you understand the symmetry. Instagram: @gazalsuranamakeup

Perfect Pout with Hurmat Klair Let’s be real, there’s nothing sexier than a perfect, plum pout! And just because we weren’t blessed with naturally voluptuous pout, doesn’t mean we can’t work our magic with makeup. A quick way to get those fuller lips in just a few steps: 1. Before doing anything, exfoliate your lips, as it’s essential for smooth lipstick application. 2. Moisturise your lips with a good lip balm/oil. 3. Line the shape of your lips using a lip liner, and use to fill in the lips, which will also help the lipstick to last longer. Then apply the lipstick evenly over the applied lip-liner. 4. Lastly, use a flat brush and concealer to clean the shape of your lips and give a final touch. Bonus tip: Lip liner will also prevent your lipsticks from bleeding through the sides and smudging. Healthy Routines For Radiant Skin! The skin doesn’t entirely depend on the natural cleansing process, apart from healthy eating habits. We need to focus on building a skincare routine that we should follow religiously. To fight against acne, blackheads, pores and other multiple factors, we need to experiment with products that suit our skin type for a month or two to know the difference. We all know that women’s skin differs from men’s skin, as multiple attributes allow men’s skin to age differently than women’s skin that depends upon many factors such as; the thickness of skin, different hormonal changes and collagen content. Though the products for both genders are diverse, the routine stays the same for both! Before even starting with a skincare regime, one should know their skin type. Having a combination skin type makes your T-zone oily and the rest of the face dry or sensitive. And oily skin type or dry skin type needs products that lock the moisture content as per the skin type. As there is a wide range of skincare products in the market, brands have come up with products that suit all skin types! Well, your skin needs an actual regime to fight all skin-related issues.

-By Bidisha Barik

Cleanse

Your skin deals with a lot of dirt and pollution every day, and washing your face twice a day rejuvenates your skin. Always be gentle with your facial skin, and cleanse in a circular motion. For normal to dry skin, using face wash containing moisturizing properties such as honey or hyaluronic acid will not make the skin feel tight but clean and supple. And for oily to combination skin, face wash containing lemon extracts will help to get rid of excess oil.

Kiehls Facial Fuel Energizing Face Wash for Men is a gel cleanser, and the properties help in clearing the impurities and surface oil without leaving it too dry. This product is also perfect for a comfortable shave! Price: 2100/52 MARCH, 2021 TULIP

Moisturize

Hydration is a demanding step after cleansing as it stores the nourishment your skin needs and makes your skin look firmer and healthier. Most people with oily skin tend to skip this step, but it is equally important as it helps control sebum production and provides the skin with much-needed nourishment! One can always stick to aloe Vera; the old trusty is supple and perfect for all skin types.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel is perfect for all skin types. This moisturizer is proven to lock the hydration deep within the skin, and also works in hydration throughout the day! Price: 950/-

Sunscreen

Protecting your skin from harsh UV rays is significant even when you are indoors! A small amount of sunscreen is essential after moisturizing as it shields from harmful rays that affect the ageing process and other skin related problems. Reapplying every 1-2 hours or as mentioned in the packaging is necessary.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen with SPF 50+ is the best option as anyone can opt for the oil-free formula. It leaves the skin non-greasy. Price: 549/-

Forest Essentials Soundarya Radiance Cream works best in controlling collagen levels, and this brand’s products are of natural ingredients which are not harsh towards your skin. Price: 1595/-

With this daily regime, there come two bonus steps one should be following. Mark your calendars to spend quality time pampering yourself every once a week.

Exfoliate

Scrubbing once a week is needed. It helps to remove the dirt locked in the pores and helps in removing the dead skin cells. One can always experiment with home-made exfoliates with sugar and lemon juice. Exfoliating every once a week is much-needed to maintain healthy skin. For men, exfoliation before a shave is necessary. But don’t over-exfoliate! Exfoliation is done after cleansing and before moisturizing.

Khadi Herbals Rose & Papaya Face Scrub allows intense cleaning of the impurities with its natural ingredients and unclogs the pores. Price: 135/TULIP - MARCH, 2021 53

Peoples take on skincare routine

“Growing up, all I knew about skin care was using a good soap to cleanse my face, using rose water or haldi sometimes, but in the past couple of months the idea of skin care has completely changed for me. There are all kinds of routines that are all over the Internet. With all kinds of products and the persuasive reviews about the same by our favorite bloggers and influencers. It is very easy to get carried away by the false promises of instant fairness, etc. Skin care to me personally is experimenting and understanding what suits your skin. Knowing your skin type is the first step to figuring out what are the products, food and lifestyle habits that are going to help you glow not just from outside but also from within. I would definitely recommend to use a suitable sunscreen at all times be it morning or night. It’s very refreshing to see men breaking the stereotypes about skincare, make up and self-care. Caring about you, nourishing and loving yourself in any way doesn’t come and shouldn’t have any gender boundaries” Manoghnya. P, Artist

SPECIAL | “It’s a pretty well-known fact that if you look better, you feel better. Doing skincare on a daily basis helps you look your best and put your best foot forward when you go out into the world. Skincare is basically preventing yourself from future skin problems like acne, wrinkles, discoloration and keeping your skin healthy. It also helps with the texture which eventually makes the makeup look flawless! You may look glowing today but as your skin cells shed every minute daily, you may look dull in future unless you maintain a good skincare routine. For the dead skin I go with a good detoxifying charcoal mask.My skincare routine starts with cleansing. I use The Body Shop tea tree skin clearing facial wash. Then I use a toner to remove that remaining dead skin cells. PIXI glow tonic is my favorite toner. It is very refreshing. Then I use The Ordinary Hyaluronic acid for that extra hydration on my skin. Then using a good sunscreen with minimum SPF of 20. I use The Neutrogena ultra-sheer dry touch sunblock SPF 50+, ending with Cetaphil moisturizer. So taking care of your skin is important if you want your skin to age gracefully and beautifully” Tazeen Mirza, Makeup Artist

“Most people don’t realize the importance of investing in good skin care. Good skin is the key for great looking makeup and is generally great for you in the long run. A good skincare regime helps you have a deeper understanding of what your skin needs. Just a few steps are all that’s needed for to leave you with healthy skin. Cleansing, toning, moisturizing being the prime steps of a skincare routine, weekly exfoliation shouldn’t be ignored too. Skin care plays a key role in makeup too. The better the skin the lesser makeup you require. We as makeup artists love working with good skin since a great canvas makes for a flawless makeup masterpiece. Nothing replaces how a makeup sits on fresh, supple and hydrated skin. Makeup will be temporary but skincare is forever, thus one should not take it for granted” Amatul Maariya Shareen, Makeup Artist

What our celebrity stylist has to say,

“The trends in 2021 for men are taking a tremendous shift before the style was short skinny zero razor cuts with the crown medium length expressing a total groomed look. Now the trend has become the opposite. Men are growing their hair to medium shoulder length with a curly and crunchy twist to the hair. The hair color has become a style statement for many. The hair color for the curly hair texture enhances the depth look of the hair. The youth is up for experiments and are opting for vibrant colors as their style statement. As I am a celebrity hairstylist, the upcoming lead roles of Tollywood prefer for the curly, crunched up, messy hairstyle. Trends are clock-wise - it revolves around, assuming the next hairstyle trend for men would be the hippy style!” Alex Vijaykanth, Celebrity Hairstylist

TAROT |

Aries Because your mind is cluttered up with what amounts to a lot of unnecessary and even silly problems which have become disproportionate, you are not at your most assertive or determined. Just stay calm and everything will be alright.

Taurus A lively investment which has elements of risks will pay off because you’ll have expressed your Taurean business sense and sound ideas on the venture.

Gemini Both physical and intellectual is very high, but you will be very prone to speak out of turn and upset people more than you realise. Being consciously aware of this will be an enormous help because then your quick-witted responses will be to the point and very incisive.

Virgo Cancer

Leo

Visitors from overseas will also feature, and mixing business with pleasure will be excellent for all concerned -and they’ll love your entertaining skills!

While your love life will be particularly dreamy and delicious, work won’t be. You’ll experience muddles and confusion due to other people’s carelessness or forgetfulness. But you’ll be ultradiplomatic as usual, and will bear all this with a patient shrug.

Libra

Scorpio

While your love life will be particularly dreamy and delicious, work won’t be. You’ll experience muddles and confusion due to other people’s carelessness or forgetfulness. But you’ll be ultra-diplomatic as usual, and will bear all this with a patient shrug.

Capricorn You recognize a good investment when you see one, and this March that particular Capricorn quality will emerge. However, you’ll challenge yourself because on one hand, you’ll tell yourself that ‘investing’ in it’ (whatever it might be) will be a mere extravagance, but on the other, you’ll get such a strong gut reaction to it that it’ll be hard to resist.

Go with the flow, and don’t put up any barriers to suggestions put to you whether they involve your personal or business interests. If in the mood to take a gamble at the races or any kind of risk, listen to your intuition as it’s particularly in tune at the moment. The result: fun and satisfaction!

Aquarius An interesting and potentially exciting month awaits, especially if you’ve just met someone new. You’ll run the whole gamut of emotions though, because you love your independence and that rather special lifestyle, therefore, if you deepen your blossoming relationship you know sacrifices will almost inevitably have to be made.

Your usually excellent communications skills will be far less good than usual when in discussion with your partner. If you are making plans, realise that until after March 25th it will be difficult to finalise them because you may be talking at cross purposes, and simply need some breathing space before decisions are made.

Sagittarius If you feel that your love and sex life has been a bit too predictable or even dull for a while, you’ve only yourself to blame. However, at present, you really are in an excellent position to be considerably more adventurous in your attitude towards your partner who will delight in your inventiveness and experiments.

Pisces A certain amount of stress sometimes occurs, but making fresh starts and sweeping away that which is no longer wanted in our lives is good. If your birthday falls during the first week of March you are probably ready to re-assess your life with a view to change.
