Class Objective Certification

This training program is designed to provide participants with the basic skills and knowledge to enter into a CNA training program.

Delivery Method

State requirements include 60 hours of in-class training and another 16 hours of off-site clinical training (at a community partner like NHC) at an assisted living facility.

Duration

NHC offers a free CNA training program that lasts 2 weeks

Prerequisites & Assessments

Valid ID, cannot be on the Sex Offender Registry, no criminal background, a negative tuberculosis test within the past year, proof of COVID vaccination status, High school diploma or HiSET and pass basic reading and math preassessments (CASAS) Pass Northstars assessments: Computer Basics with an 85% or higher, Internet Basics with an 85% or higher, and Windows 10 with a 75% or higher. Meet with a career coach to do a pre assessment on the participants emotional capacity (if they have the heart for the job)
