REGION ANNOUNCEMENTS Weekday Drive to Bagdad Wednesday, October 20, 2021 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
An idea we have not tried before… a weekday driving tour. AZPCA’s first! October schedule is packed with events: track days, a multi-day tour to New Mexico, a special breakfast, Concours prep and judging school… not to mention national and zone events. But if you’re looking for something different, getting your Porsche out on a weekday could be an option. Bring your Porsche out for a drive on some of the best stretches of scenic and fun roads in the state — Yarnell Hill, Peeples Valley, Kirkland Junction toward Bagdad, then up-and-back on the twisty roller-coaster AZ-97. A driver’s drive for sure! At the end of the fun drive we’ll gather at the Copper Country Bar & Grill for lunch.
Menu choices at the Copper Country will include a Grilled Chicken Ranch sandwich with bacon and pepper jack cheese; Arizona Burger with grilled onions and green chilies; or Southwest Chicken Salad with cheddar cheese, salsa, black beans, corn, and tortilla strips. Cost of $20 per person includes tax, tip, non-alcoholic drinks, payable when you register on MotorsportReg. So take a day off from the office, skip school, whatever; this will be a fun day!
