On the cover is a watercolor portrait by Lisa Howell-Baxter featuring Hartselle mother-daughter duo Julia and Brooklyn Puckett at the Hartselle Farmers Market. Brooklyn, 14 months, loves strawberries. Her mom says they’re her favorite food.
A History loves cpany
A couple of miles and a few minutes off interstate 65 lies an opportunity to experience the way many imagine life should and could be. Just take the time to slow down a bit on the more relaxed side of Huntsville, and there’s a place where church potluck suppers, handwritten recipe cards, Veterans’ Day Parades and loyalty to family, friends, football and country are still the norm and a cherished way of life.
The diversity of residential spaces makes this style of living available to anyone looking to make Hartselle their home. Not only is there a growing inventory of new construction suburban style homes, but there are also town homes, older established neighborhoods, national registry historic homes, and acreage within the city limits
to build a dream home. Every option has access to award-winning school systems, quality healthcare, vibrant shopping, abundant employment opportunities and convenient transportation routes to help create a high quality of life.
Hartselle is a city steeped in history and southern small town traditions and values that anchor and connect those who call it home to the best of the past. These traditions help the community form bonds with previous generations and hold onto the things that matter most, such as highly-ranked schools with high graduation rates. Here, where friends and neighbors come together over food, faith and sports, there’s find a city that has found a way to strike an effective balance between the old and the new.
