Can Mindfulness Leave You Stressed? Here’s What You Need To Know!

So far I had never come across or learned about mindfulness having drawbacks. For the most part, mindfulness is excellent, the way you live and look at life after practicing mindfulness is different. On the flip side, too much awareness can leave uncomfortable thoughts and feelings hanging in your mind.

In 2017, the psychologists in Spain and Brazil saw that a quarter portion of meditators had ‘unwanted experiences’, panic attacks, emotional feelings, and lost connection with the real world. You are doing everything right by meditating. You are learning how to handle challenges and that’s

an integral part of the exercise.

It often happens that while meditating a few meditators end up feeling too emotional if they already have anxiety issues. For instance, there are a few people who are already going through anxieties and those people are likely to feel anxious in a relaxed state of mind.

It is an assumption that these people might be scared of feeling anxious when their mind is relaxed. By chance, if you are struggling with any form of mental issue. Seek help or ensure to talk to a therapist

before you plan on starting to meditate. Get confirmation if meditation is good for you or not.

Changes In The Body After Meditation Or Mindful Meditation

Meditation is not limited to relaxing. It makes your mind exercise and teaches it to pay attention to the stimuli the body receives at that moment. By doing this what happens is what you are focusing on at present with signals and body reactions can begin to change your brain and your body that can survive even beyond being in a meditative state of mind.

One part of your brain known as the amygdala is involved with processing emotions such as fear and aggression. This becomes less active after a meditation

session. This in turn reduces stress and anxiety levels.

In our cells, there is generegulating machinery that takes care of the activities of genes causing inflammation or pains. Meditation is the best way of recovering from such physical injuries and sprains. Besides, studies have even claimed that the blood pressure levels come in control after meditation.

Few studies claim

that irritable bowel syndrome can be improved by lessening the production of stress hormones. Interestingly, smokers might wish to quit smoking after meditating and chances for re-lapsing are very less when these smokers choose to do ‘ integrative body-mind training’. The areas in the brain that are associated with cravings come in control with meditation. Meditation is even known to relieve pain in the back muscles.

Is it Good

To Practice Mindfulness?

There are different ways of looking at mindfulness. Usually, we think that it suits everyone but in reality, it is not apt for all. This concept was derived from Buddhist teachings and it stresses focusing on the present without letting your mind get diverted.

There are two ways of practicing mindfulness. By sitting in meditation or between the noise in

life. The main idea behind practicing mindfulness is to release stress, anxiety, and depression. Apart from this you can focus better and gain control over your fears and negative emotions.

Given the fact that it is all about intensely experiencing your own emotions, it can put a few people through stress that they might end up feeling stressed instead of feeling better. Even if a person claims to feel relaxed, even then the stress hormones can increase. Psychiatrists claim that the sideeffects of mindfulness are about experiencing traumatic memories and a new perspective about self. Mindfulness needs to be practiced the right way.

Conclusion

Mindfulness is powerful. It has life-changing benefits but if a person goes too deep and is already suffering from major anxieties, he or she might feel low instead of feeling better. In short, mindfulness is not mean for everyone.
