THE RHYTHM OF THE BUTTERFLY Contemporary Poetry Anthology by Santosh Kumar Biswa
A Patriotic Man You allege, ' I love my country,' so loud, 'I will do this and that,' what not things, To waste vitality away from what it should. Not by pride on lips or in front of others A loyal man you can become - for the nation, But being unmutilated and disguised in action You can become, in the modest precise way, Right from your doors and to your society, With your benign hands always wide open To be a true patriotic man of age forever. You take care of things beneath your roof For it is an asset for you and your land And the things around you - next to you From the heart with dedication to hold open. Your deeds should be the pride of the land, Not merely of words but of volition in heart, To assist it in loyalty, filled with pride, For being its part and be able to pay tributes Until the last pearl of blood that dries up.
