THE RHYTHM OF THE BUTTERFLY Contemporary Poetry Anthology by Santosh Kumar Biswa
Let us sing oh! Nightingale Oh! Nightingale, marked for the nocturnallity, Allow me to accompany, come closer With tones that never were so penetrating. You aren't the same Nightingale of Keats, So different you sound, that of bridges, With emotions so plaintive and sorrowful. Like my melancholy, you seem alike Seeing all those present happenings around, Vividly, pleading people with vicious thoughts, Whose melancholy you once made yours. Let us sing together better in tones this time To reach those unreached ones - so harsh in deeds, That we be able to conciliate them purely, To heed and atone of their wrong acquittal, Already committed, for the amendment of their futurity.
