THE RHYTHM OF THE BUTTERFLY Contemporary Poetry Anthology by Santosh Kumar Biswa
An interview with My Granny Like the flight I boarded over the dim sky, Firmly escorted through an eternal ray by Angels, For an interview just fixed, a day earlier, About life, with my granny who left long ago To know, before my soul goes forth my flesh Or so the whereabouts in heaven in advance And the provision to make for a better voyage. In a large hall, like a queen, I saw her waiting With a longing heart to meet, heavenly dressed, Besides her wide setting, she made me sit. Much younger than ever she came along, Her cheeks so tender and eyes cheerful, Never to believe her character when she left, Out of old age, fully exhausted even to walk.
