welcome! Message from
Message from
Mayor Paul Reutov
Dan Small, Chief Administrative
The Community Activity Guide showcases our region’s excellent recreation programs, both to new and long-time residents. I am very proud of the topquality facilities and activities that our staff and local community groups plan, and I look forward to seeing families use these resources to stay active and healthy for years to come.
Officer Our recreation, facilities, FCSS, aquatics, and other County staff continue to find inventive ways to keep our community engaged and healthy, and the Community Activity Guide showcases that creativity. The variety of programs, services, and classes that we can offer to our residents and visitors is outstanding.
The future of recreation in Lac La Biche County is bright. The outdoor sports fields and campground at the Bold Center open up new opportunities for larger soccer, football, and baseball tournaments, and will make our community a gathering spot for budding athletes and their families. A new aquatics centre planned for the Bold Center will round out the multiplex’s amenities, giving our residents a brand new indoor swimming space to use in both the summer and winter months.
I hope that you and your family will take advantage of these excellent programs and top-quality services. I’m proud to present this latest edition of the Community Activity Guide: it’s the result of all the hard work that our staff and community groups have put into making Lac La Biche County a great place to live.
I hope that you enjoy everything our community has to offer, and look forward to the great things that Lac La Biche County has in store.

what is fcss? Lac La Biche County Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) is a partnership between Lac La Biche County and the Government of Alberta. The FCSS mandate is to provide locally driven, preventative social initiatives that enhance the well-being of individuals, families, and the community. Our FCSS is one of 206 programs across the province providing services in line with the provincial FCSS Act and Regulation. FCSS programs provide a strong network of preventive social supports. Our programs are designed to encourage a healthy community of empowered individuals, resilient youth, supported seniors, and healthy families. We do this through a mix of direct programs and grant funds to community organizations delivering programs with similar goals. We strive to strengthen community partnerships to improve the social network in our community.
