Shouts of joy rang out at Vinery when their Gr.1 winning sire Exceedance’s first runner, Dublin Down, won the Gr.3 VRC Maribyrnong Plate. Dublin Down was a Gold Coast Magic Millions graduate from Edinburgh Park Stud, while Vinery’s own yearling drafts have produced many other wonderful racetrack graduates like multiple Gr.1 winner Artorius, Golden Slipper winner Farnan, and 2YO Magic Millions winner Exhilarates to name just a few.
“Buyers have come to expect yearlings of the highest quality from Vinery,” said Vinery’s Harry Roach, “and this year’s Magic Millions draft is certainly no exception. He is represented by 35 Book 1 yearlings, which is a testament to their quality. To have a young stallion with his credentials, consistently leaving stock of such quality makes for a highly promising period ahead.”
With 41 yearlings on offer, Vinery’s draft is packed with commercial sires, brilliant pedigrees, and every horse has been brought up on Vinery’s proven Gr.1 producing land. The stallions represented in the
