Vetus, global innovation company for complete marine product systems, has expanded its international sales management team with significant appointments. The new arrivals at two local European offices strengthen the company’s presence in key markets and will efficiently meet increasing demand for Vetus and Maxwell products through the most direct approach with OEMs and consumers. The first addition is at the Vetus Italy headquarters in Montelupo, where Davide Baldereschi joins as Branch Manager.

Charlie Bird, founder of the premium boat shoe brand Wuzzos, has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer at Hyde Sails. The move comes as Hyde Sails looks to continue its growth trajectory by expanding its diverse product offering and moving towards a new dynamic era of trade. Charlie Bird has amassed over 20 years of valuable marine brand development experience and expertise that he hopes will benefit Hyde Sails. After spending 16 years at Musto where he specialised in product development, production, brand, and cost management, Bird launched his own company, Wuzzos, in December 2019.

Lorenzo Ricci
Cantiere delle Marche has strengthened their Technical and Project Managers Department by hiring Lorenzo Ricci, who is appointed Head of Project Managers. Mr Ricci has a wide experience in the international yacht-building industry and yachting in general coupled to excellent team management skills and will bring a wealth of knowledge to the role he has been appointed for. Mr Ricci has been Captain of large sail yachts in Italy and the USA and a yacht broker in Florida and he has fulfilled various other roles within the industry.

Cantiere delle Marche welcomes Martino Del Nevo on board as Chief Operating Officer and the company is looking forward to bringing CDM towards new horizons. In his career, Mr del Nevo gained an international and diversified experience in ship and yacht building. Using his expertise in the yachting industry, Mr del Nevo will reorganise and oversee operation by strengthening technical, production and project managers departments while implementing CDM’s business processes. To support the new COO activity, CDM is hiring a significant number of highly skilled professionals.
MB92 announced that it has strengthened its management team with the appointment of Jean-Marc Bolinger as Group CEO. Pepe García-Aubert, President & CEO of MB92, will continue to play a major role in the company as Chairman of the Board. Mr Bolinger, a Swiss national, has occupied senior positions within a wide variety of industries ranging from business services, consumer goods, food & beverages to logistics, and has led teams of up to 900 employees. During a career spanning 30 years and three continents, he held executive roles at companies including Danone and Primo Corporation.

With 14 years of experience in sales and marketing at multinational companies, Davide also brings marine industry expertise and connections to Vetus from his previous roles. Based at the Vetus Barcelona office, Joana Franco has been appointed as Sales Account Manager for Spain and Portugal. A qualified naval architect, ocean engineer and open water diver, Joana brings multi-lingual communication skills to the position, as well as monitoring and supervision experience in ship repair and design projects.
