I N S P I R I N G F U T U R E O LY M P I A N S On June 22, Missouri Athletic Club Campers attended Olympic Day at Washington University’s Francis Olympic Field, the site of the 1904 Olympic Games. To begin the program, six-time Olympic Medalist and MAC Member Jackie Joyner-Kersee
discussed the challenges she faced as a talented athlete growing up in East St. Louis. She motivated young attendees with the captivating stories that led to her remarkable athletic success. After a Q&A session, MAC Campers hit the track for some exercise
alongside Joyner-Kersee, as well as other St. Louis Olympians, including Lori Chalupny (2008 Olympic Gold Medalist on U.S. Women’s Soccer Team), Ty Keough (1980 U.S. Olympic Soccer Team) and Lou Vitucci (1964 U.S. Olympic Diving Team).
