Photographer Alex Annen (Switzerland)

Can you tell us a little about you? I am 35 years old, live in Switzerland. I’m a commercial and portrait photographer, working both from studio and exterior.

How and when did you get into photography? As I often say, I discover photography with live music photo-graphy and learn to love it with portrait photography. I began 5 years ago.

What does photography mean to you? Everything. Without it I wouldn't have discovered that I can be crea-tive. I discovered another way to live and be whole.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. Location photography is something amazing. Create atmosphere and highlights people is important for me.

Where do you get inspiration from? In book, movies, video music and in the world in general.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Most of the time, yes. I left a place for improvisation but i prefer to plannify what I wanna do.

Studio, on location or both? Both !

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? Paid Professional

What has been your most memorable session and why? I had to create a shoot for a designer dress. For this session, I do 1000km to go in a special place in France. It’s memorable because that was my very first big project with my best friend as model, my wife as MUA. And “fun” fact, 3 days before this shoot all of my camera gear has been stolen. I had to find a replacement material to not throw all this organisation to trash.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? Canon from the beginning and my fav lense is the 50mm f/1.2, on my R5 actually.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? Make Mistakes. A LOT. I learned a lot of things from my mistake and without it I would not be the photographer that I am today, and I have a lot to learn.

What do you think of our new magazine? It’s really good to have platform who promote work from all over the world. Thanks for all your work !

Can you tell us a little about you? I’m a family man, with a few hobbies.

How and when did you get into photography? I got into photography about 5 years ago, I had to suddenly stop practicing Martial Arts and I decided to dedicate all my spare time to photography, which I had been curious about for a long time, and to sailing , which I already practiced since I was a young boy.

What does photography mean to you? Express myself, create.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I’m just a student, learning the basics of photography, I have not yet identified a precise style, I am interested in various genres, mostly fashion and portrait .I tend to go to the extreme: very contrasting black and white or very vivid colors.

Where do you get inspiration from?

A long list, I really admire the Italian photographer Francesco Francia who is also one of my teachers.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Yes, for me it is very important to design the set in advance together with my team : thinking about it in the evening and in the morning ,in the previous days, is one of the things I like the most. As for travel it is not only important the goal but the path one takes to reach it.

Studio, on location or both? Both

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? Hobbist

Model : Manuel D’amario - Attore

What has been your most memorable session and why? The session with flowers with the model Syria Teramani (in the photo). We didn't know each other before, but right from the start we found ourselves in perfect agreement on the whole design of the set, to which she contributed a lot. We went to choose the flowers together, we decided on the accessories, colors, etc ...all togheter . In addittion the MUA , Antonella Venditti was able to grasp our intentions on the fly and helped us a lot, as well as in the make-up, also in the realization of the set which was rather complicated.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? I am not interested in this type of debate, I use Nikon with nikkor 70-200, 85, 50, 35, 24-70.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? The same advice I would give to myself. Studying and reading a lot, not only photography but also painting, sculpture, dance etc. Invest in training more than in equipment. Do not go hunting to much for "likes" on the social media, rather have the courage to experiment to learn from one's mistakes and to be able to stand out from the crowd. Do not underestimate post production, which is not only a way to improve the photos already taken but it is also a way to understand how to better take the next photographs. Without prejudice to the fact that you have to be able to do the photograph well right from the shot and not think about relying on postproduction to solve the mistakes made during the shooting phase.

What do you think of our new magazine? I heard about it for the first time a while ago when a photographer proudly told me that some of his photos had been published in your magazine. It is a good way to make yourself known and the publications are interesting.

Photographer Marcin Sokołowski – maarew (Poland)

Can you tell us a little about you? I was born and grew up in Bialystok, Poland. This area has been multicultural for a few hundred years as there live people of Polish, Belarussian, Lituanian and even Tatars roots and this history "infected" my mind :) Now I live and work in Warsaw, a place full of different people from all over Poland and the world. And I like that. My other passions are diving and travelling. I prefer fine art, nude and portrait photography, but also like landscape and street photography.

How and when did you get into photography? I was always interested in pictures, photos telling some stories, fantasy art, but I didn't take photos myself. It changes as my son was born and I wanted to document how he grew up. I bought a camera and my sister gave me some books about photography. And so it started :)

What does photography mean to you? On the one hand I can create pictures which I could not paint or draw. On the other hand it lets me see the world more like children do - I look for and see beautiful and interesting things in everyday life. Today's life is rather fast and photography lets me stop for a moment and value the world around me.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I'm not sure if I have one style, I like both bw and color photography and to try different things. So, maybe freestyle, that's me ;)

Where do you get inspiration from? Books, songs, paintings, movies, photographs, the world around me. Stories people tell since people exist.

Sacrifice” Model: Marysia Plenzler IG: @miss_gingerness

“Shadow is Her Habit” Model: Alicja Oręziak https://www.maxmodels.pl/modelka-alivio.html

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? I have rather a general idea not an exact picture. And on the location this idea changes sometimes into a different one :)

Studio, on location or both? I prefer location, it often gives me new ideas, but also studio from time to time.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? I'm a hobbyist, I earn money as an heir tracer and genealogist - history "infected" my as I told :)

What has been your most memorable session and why? I don't have such one session, most sessions I did were worth remembering as I met interesting and creative people. Once I took a photo of a bridge in Warsaw, it was hidden in the fog and I found it beautiful. With some doubts I decided to send this photo to National Geographic Photo Competitions and... this photo was awarded. That was the first time I thought that hmmm... maybe my photo can be liked not by my family members only :)

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? I started my photo-journey with Nikon and stayed by it. I often use 50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, 24-70mm 2.8 but have also good experiences with 70300mm 4.5-5.6. And I like to take photos with my mobile phone too, it's always by me and I took some good street or landscape photos with it.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? Photography is my passion, but not my job, so I'm rather not the right one to give such advice. I can say that do it with passion, prepare for hard work, learn from loss and... do not give up.

What do you think of our new magazine? I like it, it's a very interesting place where you can find different types of artistic creativity. Most interesting for me is photography of course :) I think it's great that it's a place where people could present their works and how they see the world around us.

Photographer Stanislav Fehér (Slovakia)

Can you tell us a little about you? I am 42 years old, I live in Skalica, picturesque small town in the west of Slovakia and I am a teacher by profession. I teach at primary school and my role is to teach children how to read, write and count. I have a great family. My wife is photographer, my two clever children are inclining to art too. I like to read and go to nature. Both are then an inspiration to me.

How and when did you get into photography? If I don’t count photos from family celebrations or trips, I got to photography thanks to my wife. She is a portrait photographer, she makes a living by photographing people, families and weddings. As she changed her hardware, old cameras stayed at home laying around. I tried how it’s to make photos with better cameras and it got me. Now it is 6 years already, that I took it more seriously. At the beginning, I took pictures of everything – maybe as all of us. I tried to shoot nature, landscape, macro, architecture… I realized that those kinds of photos really don’t fulfill me, that I want to take pictures of people instead.

What does photography mean to you? Photograph is a story to me and an escape from reality. I like, when people stop and think when looking at my photos. Maybe it is, because I like books, history and phantasy world. I try to bring it to my photos. I like to work on photos, that are dreamy, surreal and fantastic. However, I do not avoid capturing reality and current topics, but again in my own view.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. Style, that I shoot, will be best classified as fineart and conceptual photography. I try to make my photos eye-catching and that they carry a notion, that people think about. I like getting feedback from people, when they write me, that my photo caught them, that it reminded them of something, inspired them. I have a feeling of fulfillment and work well done.

Where do you get inspiration from? There is a lot of inspiration around us. Nature, unconventional places, interesting people, events, books and last but not least our dream world. Sometimes it's an ordinary tree I walked around, and the idea of incorporating it into a photo came to my mind.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? I am not one of the photographers who finds a model, takes her to the studio and "clicks". Every photo of me is well thought out and prepared. The idea comes first. I will draw it on paper. Gradually I will collect or make props and find a suitable location. Then I will contact a model who is typified in my project and only then will we go to take pictures. When taking photos, sometimes something interesting is created spontaneously on the spot, but the vast majority of my photos are thoughtful and planned.

Studio, on location or both? I do not use the studio. I love natural light. I like to take photos outdoors, or in old abandoned buildings. Although the complete equipment for the studio is stored at home, I do not use it. Maybe sometime in the future, but now I'm completely comfortable with plein-air.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? As I wrote at the beginning, I am a teacher by profession. Photography is my hobby. I take it as relaxation, escape from reality and the opportunity to fulfill my dreams. I can't imagine having to take pictures of what I don't like because the client requires it. I like freedom and I take photos when I have an idea and a desire to create, not when I am pressed by a deadline.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? Nikon and I won't let him. Gradually I tried more of them. I started with the Nikon 3200, then the Nikon D300s, I also tried the Nikon D800 and now my favorite Nikon has been D750 for a few years. The most popular lens is probably Nikkor 50mm F1.8. and Sigma 50mm f1/4 DG HSM Art Nikon

What has been your most memorable session and why? There were probably more like that. I like to remember taking photos in the old Franciscan monastery, where we photographed the horror scene. The models were dressed as nuns. The monastery was completely empty and a strong wind was blowing outside. When we prepared the scene, the models took their positions and I took a photo, everything fell silent and in the empty long corridors only the hum of the wind could be heard. It was suggestive, it had a really scary atmosphere. Memorable photos were probably also for several of my models, when we took photos at negative temperatures, in strong winds and snow. The girls have my admiration that they did it so perfectly. I enjoy photography, so every one has it own charm and I am very happy about every one.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? As a hobby photographer, it is difficult for me to comment on business. But still, I would have one piece of advice for a beginning photographer who wants to do business. Find your style and hone it to perfection. A style that fulfills you, that describes you and then offer it to the client. Never try to take pictures in a way that everyone likes. Be yourself - if you do your job properly, the client will find you himself.

What do you think of our new magazine? I discovered your magazine only recently, but I was very pleasantly surprised. I am very happy to be a part of it.

UNDER WATER

https://www.instagram.com/nikaia1985

Can you tell us a little about you? I was born and live in Poland. I'm an amateur photographer. I mainly take portraits, which I enjoy the most, but I also do product photography.

How and when did you get into photography? My adventure with photography started a long time ago. As a teenager I became interested in analog photography, but it was rather a youthful curiosity than a passion. About 7 years ago I bought my first digital SLR camera and fell in love with photography once again.

What does photography mean to you? For me, photography is an escape from reality. Thanks to it, I am in another world. I tried many genres of photography but none of them gave me as much satisfaction as portrait sessions. This is one of the few activities that can satisfy two extreme needs - the desire to meet new people and a huge desire to be completely alone. I love meeting new people and sometimes I have the impression that photos are just a nice side effect of all this. Something that is created somewhere in between the conversations, smiles and mutual exchange of insights. I would say that taking pictures is just a two-hour detox from everything.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. A style in photography? I don't think I ever want to find it. It's a bit of a stop in development for me. And I want to develop and look for new things all the time. To discover the unexplored, so I hope I will never find my style.

Model: Kamila Leśniewska
MUA: Daria Madej

Model: Małgorzata Pyrek

Model: Marta Pilecka

Where do you get inspiration from? There can be many sources of inspiration. You can learn from other photographers, but also from painters, musicians or filmmakers. And in this way you can develop your sensitivity and photographic awareness. It often happens to me to analyze photos in terms of the lighting used. To sum up, any way is good, the most important aspect is to develop constantly.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? I would say yes and no at the same time. I do sessions that are completely planned out, where everything happens according to a predetermined scenario. Starting with the make-up, through the lighting and ending with the posing of the model. But sometimes I just want to be completely spontaneous without any plan or limitations.

Studio, on location or both? I take a lot of pictures in the studio, because I love flash light. I fell in love with it a long time ago, but I work outside as well. More and more often I combine those two things and use flash light outside the studio.

What has been your most memorable session and why? This is a difficult question. Every session is unique and brings new experiences and sensations. Each time I get incredible pleasure from it. I meet new people and when I manage to create a unique photograph the satisfaction doubles.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? I am an absolute amateur and I treat photography as a hobby.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? Nikon has always been. But it's not that important to me. And my favorite lens is probably Nikon Nikkor 85 1.8

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? I am not a very competent person to give advice on this subject, because I take photography only as a hobby.

What do you think of our new magazine? I am very impressed with your magazine and the artistic level of the photos posted. It is also worth noting that such projects allow novice photographers and professionals to present themselves to a wider audience.

Photographer Monica Irma Ricci (Italy)

Can you tell us a little about you? My name is Monica Irma Ricci and I am an independent photographer born in 1973 in Rome. After obtaining a degree in Sociology, a specialization in socio-statistical research and some work experiences that did not satisfy me, I decided to dedicate myself to photography. I like photographing people and dancers. During my travels, I like taking photos of landscapes.

How and when did you get into photography? Photography has always been part of my education. I discovered it during my high school and university years but my first professional approach to photography is recent, when a friend of mine asked me to photograph her little girl because she liked my photos.

What does photography mean to you? Since I was a child, I have always been attracted by people's faces and eyes and by dancers. Photography was a discovery, where I felt from the beginning a deep connection and through which I can truly express myself and enter into connection with the people portrayed in my photos.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I am a portrait and a dancer photographer. The focus of my photography is always the faces, the eyes of people, their expression and the movement of bodies. To this I also combine my passion for vintage (clothes, furniture, etc.) and black and white photography.

Where do you get inspiration from? Present and past great photographers such as Peter Lindbergh, Irving Penn, Richard Avedon, Annie Leibovitz inspires me. I also follow Italian photographers like Paolo Roversi, Tina Modotti, Oliviero Toscani, Settimio Benedusi and I attended the workshop of Eolo Perfido.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Yes, almost always. A photo starts from an idea that I try to realize. To take a photo I have to organize set, lights, clothes, accessories, colors, makeup, etc. I often look for images as a starting point and from there I rework my idea. Often during the shooting there is an unexpected idea that takes me in another direction, full of surprises.

Studio, on location or both? I prefer to photograph in the studio, where I have fewer distractions. When I work with dancers, I often decide to shoot in abandoned locations or taking advantage of the beauty that the landscape where I live offers to me.

What has been your most memorable session and why? This is a difficult question. Every shooting is remembered for different reasons: for the new things that I learn; for people who decide to rely on me for their portrait; for some mistakes that will be avoided in the next shooting.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? I use Canon, because my first digital SLR was Canon. For portrait basically use 85mm and 105mm and the other lenses depending on the shooting.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? Follow your heart, what you feel. Believe in yourself and ignore criticisms. Study the great photographers and try to create your own photographic style.

What do you think of our new magazine? I think it's fantastic because it gives visibility even to minor photographers by focusing on quality. A magazine that supports you.

Model Lee Tattar

Repost from January 2019

Can you tell us a little about you? I’m Lee TattarUkrainian freelance model, photographer, SuicideGirl (SG) and recruiter for SG.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? I would like to have a less temper and be able to easily let go of the negative and enjoy the little things. It seems to me in modern society that many people lack these things.

How did you start modeling? I started my modeling career 10 years ago in my native town. I visited two models schools and then started to shoot with different photographers.

What do you think of the work as a model? It is not so easy as it’s seems sometimes. For a successful models career, you must have such qualities as purposefulness, punctuality, interpersonal skills etc. But I like it so much!

What is your beauty regimen? Nutrition and sport! There is no other :)

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? I consider myself purposeful and very ambitious, which by the way is not always good

What are your plans for the future? I want to finally became an SG staff photographer and discover US for myself :)

What are some of your favorite experiences so far? Oh, this is shootings with new girls, traveling and meeting new people.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling? I have my author's seminars about modeling and I teach a new ones models from scratch. First of all, the desire and sure decision to achieve success in the chosen profession is very important!

(Ukraine)

What do you think of the magazine? This is a wonderful new and fresh project, unique in its kind! I am very grateful for your invitation to participate in it and wish success and prosperity to you and all your readers!

Can you tell us a little about you? I am from Poland, I am 45. I live in Lomza ( a beautiful place with breathtaking views). I work as a teacher and I have been doing that with a pleasure for 21 years, though.

How and when did you get into photography? As a teenager I signed up for a photography club at my school. We had to do everything by ourselves e.g. attaching a photographic film and developing it. We were also exposing the photos and did reprints as well (there was some magic behind it - a piece of paper turning into a picture was something unusual). My parents had bought me a Russian Zenit ET camera but at that time I was into sport a lot, photography was taken to the back seat. However, the passion had come back with the invention of digital cameras and it lasts till now. To be honest, I am thinking about getting into analogue photography nowadays.

What does photography mean to you? I devote most of my free time to photography, it is something that allows me to express myself literally – leave something behind, something positive for me and someone else. Somehow the photography draws fantastic people towards myself which lets me capture not only the person itself but also its inner side. In my opinion photography is one of these tools that despite of technology do not drift people apart it somehow works the opposite way, we demand a contact with one another thanks to it.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I am a portraitist esthete. I enjoy showing the beauty, emotions and relationships between people through my photos. I love facial expression, mimcry, body language, basically every photo I take contains some face. I can think of just a few photos I had taken in my whole carrier where the look of a face is not that visible.

What has been your most memorable session and why? There is not one I remember the most, every single one is something special to me. I link photos with people, looking at the photo I have taken reminds me of a climate of a session, the music, the conversations we had. I think I consider my photos completely different than those who see them.

Model.

Where do you get inspiration from? Sometimes the ideas come to me spontaneously. I go for a walk, see someone at the street, pub or shop and I know what I would start the session with, I have a plan prepared in my head. I think I also inspire myself, as lots of photographers, with theatre, video clips, pictures or other photographer’s works.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? I think so, I know the setting of a photo in advance, whether it will be the interior or exterior I know everything about styling. However, I am not a type of a person that clutches to the plan It sometimes turns out that I refuse the plan I had before in favour of something that came to my mind spontaneously. I am able to get better catches I had previously planned but it does not mean I drop the plan of a photo shoot in total, I value my time and the time of my co-workers too much to improvise or start the job unprepared.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? I do paid- sessions as well as TFP (hobbyist’s for myself). If asked, I would say I consider myself as a professional photographer. I have devoted a lot of work and time into the development of my skills which I continue of course but the photography itself is not and I do not think it will be my main source of income.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? Canon but not because it is better, the brand is not important to me, it is more like everyone around had a Canon and we could share the lenses together. My favo ones are 85mm and 135mm.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? It is hard to give advice over starting a business as I had mentioned the photography is not my main source of income. However, I would suggest that if you want to be considered as a good photographer you have to start that with passion towards photography which I am sure will lead to become a professional photographer naturally. Train a lot, take a lot of photos, do not get intimidated easily, continue these step by step with pleasure (do not push yourself to things you do not feel in terms of photography or you just do not want to do, try to be outstanding in a type of photography you feel with your heart)

Photographer Patrick Garnier (Switzerland)

Model & MUA: Angelina Petrova IG: https://www.instagram.com/angelina__petrova/

Model & MUA :

Julie IG: https://www.instagram.com/juliesnaturesbeauty/

Can you tell us a little about you? Hello, my name is Bożena and I am a photographer from Poland. I am a German philologist by education, but art, fine arts, painting and photography are my great passions. Since I was a child, I have always dreamed of working in art professionally. Thankfully dreams came true and now I can finally do what I truly love. And it's wonderful…

How and when did you get into photography? I have always taken photos everywhere, the camera has always been at hand, especially since the birth of my children. For a long time I used simple compact cameras that were very convenient for me, because they were very easy to use but very soon I felt they began to limit me. I felt that their simplicity was not enough. And finally, 2017, I decided to do something for myself, for my soul and I spent the savings on the first camera – Canon 6D and 85 lens, many courses and trainings and … I got crazy about it. I have been fascinated with photography ever since. But I still feel that I need more knowledge and experience.

What does photography mean to you? It's my whole world now. I think photographically, I look photographically, I constantly discover the possibilities of light and colors. Photography is the art of seeing, noticing and a huge field for creativity. It is an absolutely magical world.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. It's a hard question. I think it is easier for people to judge my artistic style. When I asked my dear friend to describe my photos she defined it as fine-art and retro photography.

Where do you get inspiration from? Inspiration comes unexpectedly at different times and in different places. Sometimes an item in the store may awaken my imagination, sometimes it's a music video, sometimes it's a frame from a movie or a song. Of course, an amazing source of inspiration is the internet and other photographers' publications.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Always. First there is a plan, a vision, a photo is created in my mind. I am not a reportage photographer. I don't like catching moments at celebrations or events. I like to plan frames, visit places where the session is going to take place. I like to create a base for the session in my mind. However not everything can be fully planned. Sometimes the idea turns out to be wrong, and sometimes a wonderful frame might be created, different from the previously planned one. And these are wonderful photographic surprises.

Studio, on location or both? During these few years of intense work, I really love the portrait. I love both – the studio and outdoor portrait - and it would be really hard for me to say which of them is my favourite one.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? Photography has been my hobby for a long time and is still a wonderful passion, but at the same time I do a lot of sessions for clients, so both terms fit me. However, I need to add that I’m always trying to find a little time to broaden my horizons and accomplish the goals that I set for myself.

What has been your most memorable session and why? Each photo session is an unique experience and a challenge for me. I prepare myself thoroughly for each one. Each session is very emotional, wheater it a session with a child or an adult. However, I do not think I would be able to point out this particular session that affected me the most.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? Canon. I have been a Canon R6 owner for several months - I fell in love with it almost immediately! My favorite lens is the Sigma Art 105.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? Listen to what your heart tells you. Appreciate your talent - not everyone has it, so you need to take advantage of it. And act! Get out of your comfort zone and try! Learn from your mistakes! Do not give up! Search and discover!

What do you think of our new magazine? A great idea, new opportunities for artists and a wonderful source of inspiration. And here I would like to thank you very much for inviting me to take part in this interview. Thank you for showing my art work to your readers.

Model Federica Cenci (Italy)

Can you tell us a little about you? My name is Federica Cenci, I’m 46 years old and I live by the sea near Rome, in Italy. I’ve been a ballet dancer and a bassist in a rock band. I’m passionate about everything I do and I try to do it better. At the same time I’ve always worked to have my independence and now I’m most passionate about is being a mother.

How did you start modelling? About a year ago I did my first shooting for fun. The first interminabile lockdown had just ended and I wanted and needed toh ave new artistic experiences so when a photographer contacted me for a shooting I immediately said Yes.

What do you think of the work as a model? My goalis first of all to learn and become good. I’ve a lot passion but also a long way to go. I like to express my emotions and photography is a great medium. Photography i san intersection between different artistic sensibilities, in this way the magico f stealing an instant from eternity is born. My prero-gative is that I take things seriously, especially photography. I’m not satisfied and I chase my dreams by putting my soul into it.

I draw inspiration from the artists I collaborate with, everyone has something to teach me and above all I listen my heart. Generally ther is always a project behind my shooting and I’m very careful in taking care of the cloche and make up, but I confess that some of my best shoots were improvised at the moment. I leave the post production work to the photographer. I prefer to take photos in Studio because it’s a more intimate situation and you can create a project in a better way. My favorite genre is portrait photography. I like to tell something about myself through the eyes.

I absolute want a set with a white horse on the beach. I learned that to make progress you always have to want to learn and do everything with enthusiasm.

What are your plans for the future? In September I’ve a lot of shooting planned both in the Studio and outdoors, especially portraits. I like to collaborate with innovative artists who believe in me

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling? Photography is beauty and poetry, treat it with care!

So nahm alles seinen lauf.

Was bedeutet Fotografie zu Ihnen?

Woher bekommen Sie Inspiration?

Ivana Pelz (@iv2.0) Verena (@xoverenaxo)

Photographer Riccardo Ziosi (Italy)

Can you tell us a little about you? My name is Ziosi Riccardo, I live in the province of Bologna, since I was a child I have always been fascinated by the world of art and all the beauty that surrounds it, so I decided to enter that magical world. before approaching photography I experimented with different fields such as painting and music until finally arriving at photography. photography is what most represents me and what most reflects me.I immediately started photographing abandoned places (Urbex) such as churches, villas, castles and other dilapidated structures in disuse, for several years it was the only photographic genre I dealt with, then the desire to experiment was so great so I gradually approached the world of portraiture by creating a personal studio and studying various professional techniques. still the portrait is the genre that I mainly deal with and that gives me the most satisfaction.

How and when did you get into photography? I have always been attracted to photography, I saw it as a way to capture time and special moments so that I could go back and relive them. I started shooting with my camera about 10 years ago when I started exploring abandoned places.

What does photography mean to you? Photography for me is life, they are emotions that are lived and transmitted to the observer in a nutshell it is art;

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. Mine is a pictorial style, I am inspired by the paintings of past years, I love the classic Baroque, Renaissance style of painting, I like to recreate scenes inspired by paintings that I like most. I try to keep a line that differs from the usual photographs we see every day.

Where do you get inspiration from? I am mainly inspired by Baroque art, I draw more inspiration from the paintings of Caravaggio and the works of that historical period.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Not always, usually before creating a set I always think about what I want to photograph, I already imagine the scenes I want to shoot and then make them, but it also happened a few times to improvise and some good works came out.

Studio, on location or both? I prefer to shoot in the studio, but if I happen to find a nice location that is suitable for my photographic genre, I can shoot without problems even outdoors.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? At the moment mine is just a great passion / hobby, I consider myself an amateur photographer, but if one day it should become a job I would be very happy.

What has been your most memorable session and why? it's a difficult question because I liked all the shootings I've done so far, if I have to choose one in particular, probably the one where we recreated the painting of Judith and Holofernes by Caravaggio, as one of my favorite paintings.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? As a camera body I use a sony a7r2 the lens I use most often is sony 28-70mm but also the Meike 85mm manual focus is not bad, it depends on the situations and the work I have to do.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start? First of all it must be a passion then a job, this is the greatest advice I can give.

Photographer Marcin Nalepka (Poland)

Can you tell us a little about you? Hello. I am Marcin, I come from Poland. He deals with portrait and landscape photography.

How and when did you get into photography? I think I started my adventure with photography from most of my journeys and my adolescent children. He has been dealing with it professionally for a year.

What does photography mean to you? For me, photography is the most lasting record of my memories.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. Most of my work focuses on creating commemorative portraits in the studio and outdoors. In his spare time, he deals with landscape photography.

Where do you get inspiration from? From various sources. I am inspired by people, I have my own vision, but I am also influenced by the expectations of a given client

Do you think in advance what you want? Before each session, I would like to outline what effect to get.

Studio, on location or both? Mainly uses the studio for commercial sessions. But outdoor sessions are always unpredictable where the weather and time of day have a big influence which makes them always unique.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? For now, I treat it as a hobby that brings me not great financial benefits, but gives me a lot of satisfaction

What has been your most memorable session and why? Each session is unique to me ..

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? I started with Olympus.I am currently using a Canon system that I am very happy with.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? It's hard to advise anything because I'm a beginner photographer myself. But I suggest you follow your own untamed path, following your own dreams.

What do you think of our new magazine? I am inspired by interesting reading. It is a place where you can show your works.

Photographer Emilia Vila (Italy)

Can you tell us a little about you? Yes, of course! I live in Italy and I’m a portrait photographer. I’m an eternal dreamer, I love colours, arts, nature and cats! I love traveling to discover new places and I prefer genuine food.

How and when did you get into photography? Oh, photography is part of my life since I was little because my father was a photographer, but I started to think about it as a job only after 20 years. So in 2012 I decided to start my professional journey.

What does photography mean to you? Photography is my life and my obsession. I really don’t think I could live without it!

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I believe in evolution and my style is changing as time goes by. Currently I’m obsessed with painterly portraits and I think I found my own colourful/ vintage style.

Where do you get inspiration from? I think inspiration is everywhere, I get it from everything that I see and it could be a movie, a magazine or the nature. Sometimes a little detail or color it’s enough detail to develop a new project.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture? Absolutely, I love all about the process and always project every detail of it, but sometimes I also improvise and I enjoy it as well.

Studio, or location? Both, but lately I prefer studio.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional? I think that after 10 years of working with clients I can consider myself a professional photographer, but I still enjoy every project with the enthusiasm of a hobbyist.

What has been your most memorable session and why? The most memorable project it was actualy more than a session because it was made in 8 months and it was my most ambitious and unforgettable project because is has the meaning of the life. In fact I named the Time of Life (a clock that represents the concept of a new life, the wait and the reward).

Nikon or Canon? Favourite lens? Canon since the beginning. My favourite lens is 50mm, 1.2

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? Master you craft and take a good marketing class, otherwise it won’t be a business!

What do you think of our magazine? Your Magazine it’s a pleasent surprise, full of good ma-terial and so inspiring. Keep on donig the good job!
