We would like to congratulate Melissa King for receiving a Werriwa Volunteer Award in 2020 for her 32 years of service to the netball club as a player, coach, umpire and member of the executive.

Coordinator) ● Treasurer: Susan Tepsa ● Registrar: Melissa King In 2020 Mounties Netball Club had 24 teams register for the Liverpool City Netball Association (LCNA) Competition but unfortunately after some training the competition was cancelled due to the outbreak of Covid-19. LCNA were lucky enough to hold a Spring competition starting in October and Mounties fielded 17 teams from 9-year old’s to seniors. This competition ran over two weeknights, Tuesday and Wednesday, and Mounties had 5 teams finish first past the post. Premiers: Team 1 - Division 1, Team 3 - Division 3, Team 5 - Senior Cadet Green, Team 9 - 14/15, Team 12 - 10/11 Gold. Runners Up: Team 4 - Senior Cadet Gold, Team 6 - Senior Cadet Red, Team 7 – 14/15 Gold, Team 8 – 14/15 Green, Team 14 – 10/11 Red

In 2021 the netball club fielded 20 teams, from 7-year old’s to seniors and 10 rounds of a 15 round competition was completed before the competition had to be abandoned due to the Covid-19 lockdown.

In 2020 and 2021 Mounties Netball had many players selected to play for LCNA at the NSW Senior and Junior State Netball Championships. Unfortunately, the two competitions were cancelled in 2020 and in 2021 only the Senior State Titles were completed before lockdown cancelled the Junior Titles.

IN 2021 THE FOLLOWING PLAYERS WERE SELECTED INTO THE LCNA REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS. THEY TRAINED HARD FOR 6 MONTHS BUT UNFORTUNATELY DID NOT GET TO CONTEST THE TITLES DUE TO THEIR CANCELLATION:

SENIOR STATE TITLES (DIVISION 1) WERE PLAYED AT LIVERPOOL CITY NETBALL ASSOCIATION 12-14 JUNE:

● 15 Years – Runners Up - Monika Amone, Grace Leiataua,

Unique Pritchard ● 17 Years – State Champions (undefeated) – Karoline

Fasavalu, Jamin Tikeri, Lindsay Tui, Akaysha Waihi ● Jacinta Tui was awarded her National B Umpires badge in April 2021, at the Local Club Academy Games.

Congratulations on all her hard work.

Kath has been a member since 1971. During this time Kath has been a player, coach and manager, a position she still holds today as Manager of Team 15 – 10 A’s. She has also been on the Mounties Executive holding the position of President over many, many years. Her service also extends to representing Mounties at Liverpool City Netball Association and is a current Vice President. She is also a past President and served many years as Treasurer. Thank you for your service to the club and we are looking forward to many more. Mounties Netball did not award any perpetual trophies for the 2020 or 2021 season due to the cancellation of the two seasons.
