My first trip to Tallinn was in June 2003 because a close friend in California is Estonian We flew with his father so my friend could obtain his citizenship. We were only in Estonia for a few days. I made friends with another Estonian hour before our flight was to depart from Tallinnso kept returning at least once a year from Geneva, Switzerland where I had launched a stock hedge fund. I made more Estonian friends, and eventually decided to move to Tallinn in 2018 after I stayed in the summer at a flat of the spouse of Axel Jacob, the former co-founder of Aorta Capital, who had crossed paths with me in the world of finance many years prior when we had both been living in London. We decided to launch one of the world’s first digital tokenization platforms of project finance and real estate equity capital to be raised using blockchain technology and named it HanseCoin OÜ, in 2018, to fit with the Hanseatic League’s cachet and history of trade across many nations in Northern Europe. Estonia has one of the most forward thinking regulatory and solid legal environments atax system for start-ups, so it was a no-brainer to launch in Tallinn. We eventually developed a parent company, TriQuantum Technologies, to hold the assets of our brand HanseCoin had evolved into Hanse Digital Assets (https://www.hansedigitalassets. com), one of the first companies to digitize and tokenize the equity capital for project finance in form of listed securities, be it for power plants, shipping, large residential, industrial or commercial real estate, or satellites. We employ blockchain technology digitizing the rights to and certificates of such projects which then will be traded on major exchanges. This is vested in our planned family of funds, structured and managed by, KJA Digital Asset Investments AS, which is currently undergoing regulation with a view to going to market during the summer.
