A Lot in My Mind

A Lot in My Mind TEXT ADITYA PRATAP SINGH ILLUSTRATION ELLEN BÄCK

As I still wait for the day where I unwind, I have a lot of things on my mind, Why is there still loneliness deep down the line, Why am I silent, yet whine, Why do I scroll up and down, Why am I scared Why do I frown, Why is my life in a hustle, What can I expect from the inside tussle? Now I am struck, I am in the middle of my fight, I lost the space in between the dark lights, I wasted my time, stuck in my thoughts, I still scroll back to the time and try to shape like wrought, Yet I keep my thoughts to myself, Why can’t you hold and unfold like the stack lying on the shelf, The stack of our memories, and our desires, The accumulation of piling pressure and the live wires, The daily sun comes and sets to the opposite, So why can my hymns not beat with the opposite, Now why every day is like a chase for me Where I had a past with you Which used to bring out the best in me, Now, it is a time where life is apart as the end of the river, We can meet just during drought, but why I wish for a monsoon. . .
