sset Training has been leader in training solutions since 2006, building its success off the back of its parent company Aqua Assets. Aqua Assets provides water and waste management services to businesses in the utility, construction, engineering and trade sectors. Services include civil works, non-destructive digging, vacuum loading, CCTV pipeline inspections, drain cleaning and pipeline rehabilitation. Over the years, Asset Training has added to its course offerings and continues to update its scope of what is relevant to the industry today. Project Manager Holly Tonner says the company offers standard safety courses, including first aid courses, general safety, waste water management, and industry-specific courses, which includes high-pressure blasting, and CCTV pipeline inspections. 42 TRENCHLESS AUSTRALASIA DECEMBER 2021

Asset Training has further added to its industry leading online courses, now offering Australia’s first WSA 05 2020 stand alone observation code upgrade. Asset Training has the ability to provide training based on the client’s needs when delivering the NWPNET037 - Inspect Sewer or Stormwater Assets (previously NPWNET016) course. “This upgrade is delivered online in four hours, which enables students to participate anywhere in Australia without having to travel,” she says. “All participants will receive a Statement of Attendance which can be used as evidence to relevant stakeholders, showing your commitment to being at the forefront of the industry.” Tonner says the company continues to create innovative solutions of delivering industry training to its customers during COVID-19. The shift to online courses has become a key aim for Asset Training following the impacts

of the pandemic, and it being recognised for its online high-pressure water blasting refresher course at the Hunter Safety Awards in 2019. “We definitely pushed to get as many of our courses online as we could, and still with COVID-19 easing, we have that as a priority,” she says. “It makes it so much easier and accessible for our customers as it means they can be more flexible.” If online learning isn’t for you, Asset Training offer specialised training in water and waste management and industrial maintenance service throughout Australia. Tonner says the company is based out of a fitfor-purpose training centre in Newcastle, whilst also providing onsite training all over Australia. The training centre is fully equipped to provide Nationally Recognised Training in CCTV pipeline inspection, high-pressure water jetting, vacuum loading, drain cleaning, work safety at heights, confined space, first aid, CPR and much more. As a specialist in waste water management training, the company recently had the opportunity to conduct training for Wincan. Wincan was the original pipe inspection and asset management software when it entered the market 20 years ago, and is a cloud-based platform that lets you assign work and share inspections securely across your team. Tonner says the training was provided for 10 people who were in London, Switzerland and Poland, with training sessions scheduled to work with different time zones. “Wincan reached out and we designed this course specifically for them. We had it in mind and discussed doing it prior to the company contacting us, and once they reached out it encouraged us to get things finalised,” she says. “It took us only a month or two as it was only an upgrade. Everyone logged in on our online platform for training (Asset Training Online) and it was a huge success.” Asset Training is always looking at ways it can integrate with companies, including the recent inquiry from a company to integrate a training program into its integrated management system to refresh and train all of their employees. Tonner says the company is currently looking at ways to accompany them and provide a training solution. Building on its online course availability,
