CROSS STREET MINISTRIES The Cross Street Community has been a ministry of Southside Presbyterian Church for over 20 years, providing nutritious hot meals, hot showers, clean clothing, and haircuts at no cost to hundreds of our vulnerable brothers and sisters of the streets. Most importantly this has been a blessed source of kinship for all. These activities are supported by devoted volunteers who come from all walks of life. Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteers are welcome to help with this outreach ministry. Great for those who would enjoy preparing and serving a meal as well as getting to know our Cross Street community. DAILY BREAD Thank you, St. Andrew’s, for continuing to be a church zealous in love for God and others! Because of you, Daily Bread, a ministry which grew from a 2018 Service Worship project, has continued to provide weekly bagged lunches and pantry items to the clients of La Frontera Behavioral Health Clinics. Most of these clients suffer from mental illness and homelessness and have been hit particularly hard by COVID. Their vulnerability is greatly increased by a lack of basic necessities such as food and water. The Daily Bread donations are the only ones received by La Frontera and the staff report that the clients are greatly impacted by this food. Attendance in therapy sessions and outpatient programs has continued to increase while inciting incidents are still in decline. Some clients even express feeling loved! If you feel led to pour Christ's love into the La Frontera community there are a variety of ways to do so.
