DO: Try out colors first. DON’T: Put multiple colors side by side when you are comparing swatches. Most paint companies offer color swatches you can test on a wall, and some even provide more accommodating 8 x 10 samples. Try your paint colors out first but do give each color its own space, making sure the lighting is consistent as you consider each one. You will find that paint colors can look dramatically different depending on the volume and intensity of light in the space.
