Angela Millar “My art finds its inspiration in nature, spirituality, and mythology.” Angela Millar is an Australian, self-taught, and highly intuitive artist. Her art is diverse, reflecting nature, spirituality, and mythology. And it has been globally received, to around 17 countries around the world as she participated in several art festivals, an accomplishment that she had never imagined possible and is so humbled by it. A published artist, Angela’s Buddha series painting has also graced the cover of an inspirational book. When inspired, Angela steps out of her comfort zone, throwing open the doors of creativity, and its these such moments that keep her grounded in the present without much worrisome contemplation of the final outcome of her painting. Her artwork have a set idea or a creative chaotic process, which is intuitive, free, joyful, and playful, depending upon the type of artwork to be created. She enjoys letting the colors flow freely, and create something truly organic and unique. Angela’s artwork is not bound by any specific style or color scheme. It aims to nourish the viewer’s spirit, giving him renewed sense of well-being and peace. Her inspirations source is multifaceted, and her the painting series eclectic. Like Angels, Buddha, Phoenix, Ganesh, Women warriors, The Hamsa, to name a few. She fills the canvas layer by layer, adopting bold, vibrant hues, alluring textures, and conceding the painting to evolve naturally. She incorporates the use of epoxy resin in her artwork, and more recently, she breathed life to pages of old books by repurposing them into stunning collages.
