he award, which is open to all full-time learners and apprentices, aims to celebrate the amazing work that upcoming talent in the industry is producing.
There is a prize usually worth £100+ for the winner each month – and you will feature in our online Hall of Fame and in the next issue of HIP!
LEARNER OF THE MONTH
> BETWEEN THE 1ST AND 20TH OF A MONTH Tag us in a new photo of your best work on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter – use #HIPLOTM. Any entries later than the 20th will roll over into the following month.
> BETWEEN 21ST AND 23RD OF A MONTH We will choose our favourite entries (up to a maximum of eight).
> ONE WEEK BEFORE THE END OF THE MONTH We will share the top entries on the @hipmagazineuk Instagram page to allow our followers and your friends, family, clients and colleagues to vote for your photo.
> ON THE LAST DAY OF THE MONTH We will reveal who has got the most votes and therefore won!

Kieran is studying towards his Level 3 Advanced Plumbing and Gas qualification while also completing an apprenticeship at Mellor Plumbing, Heating and Renewable Energy. Kieran said, “The work I submitted consisted of an air source heat pump plant room with an unvented hot water cylinder. The system fed radiators, underfloor heating and air conditioning units, capable of both heating and cooling. I took my time and worked hard and this award validates that effort.”
James is studying Level 3 Plumbing as well as completing an apprenticeship with Pole and John Plumbing Contractors LTD. He told us, “Winning the award gave me a boost and made me feel proud that people actually liked my work. Being able to step back on a job, look at your work and be happy to put your name to it is a pretty good feeling to me.” James says he’s treating himself to some new tools and working on his fitness thanks to his Alpha Heating Innovation donated prize.
We’re sure the Baxi workwear bundle Keiron won will be getting good use every day!
