‘Man Men’ co-stars Jon Hamm and Anna Osceola have got engaged after 2 years of dating, having first met on set of the hit AMC show in 2015 when Osceola played his secretary. The couple were first pictured together back in 2020 sparking dating rumours and also appeared alongside each other in crime comedy film ‘Fletch’ last year.
Hamm tragically lost his mother when he was only 10 years old and in a recent interview with Howard Stern admitted, “I’m in a relationship right now and it’s comfortable,” he said. “It’s a feeling of taking care of someone else and being taken care of. It’s also been a process of working on myself, my mental health, all the stuff with my therapist, and unpacking all of that trauma and realising that when you lose someone that’s so important to you, like a mother, so early, that that creates a wound that blocks a lot of that emotional accessibility, that blocks a lot of that availability and vulnerability.”
We couldn’t be happier for the two stars.
A whole host of celebrities are showing off their growing baby bumps this month. First up was Rihanna at the Superbowl on Sunday February 12th – wearing a tight red bodysuit under an open boiler suit, with full baby bump on display.
Rihanna chose the sporting fixture, watched by an estimated 113 million viewers, to show off the news of her second pregnancy. Rihanna and rapper A$AP Rocky already have a 9 month old son.
Next up was Jessie J, who is welcoming her first child with professional basketball player Chanan Safir Coleman. Jessie performed a sold out acoustic evening at London’s O2 Shepherds Bush on 27th February and proudly displayed her baby bump to the world. Her outfit on the evening was all about showing off her bump too.
‘Love Island’ star Laura Anderson also revealed she is expecting her first child with actor boyfriend Gary Lucy. Following in the trend to reveal her bump, she took to Instagram to reveal the news to her 1.5 million followers.
Brad Pitt, who is dating jewellery designer Ines de Ramon, has said he sees a long term future with the star.
A source close to the star told US Weekly: “They spend as much of their free time together as possible, despite their busy schedules. He really enjoys being with her because she’s such an uplifting energy, she consistently looks on the bright side of things, and is always up for an adventure. He also appreciates that she’s super laid back and has such a positive outlook on life.”
Brad Pitt, 59, was previously married to Angelia Jolie and de Ramon, 29, was married to Paul Wesley from ‘The Vampire Diaries’. Despite the 30 year age gap the relationship is still pretty new but looks like it could go the distance. The ‘Babylon’ star has taken her to the Cesar Awards and a Bono concert.
Entertainment converging with fashion is nothing new but this is one of the most exciting tie-ups we have come across in decades. French fashion house Louis Vuitton has just named US rapper and producer Pharrell Williams as its new creative director for menswear.
The luxury brand announced on Instagram that it had hired Pharrell after the sudden death of its previous menswear designer, Virgil Abloh, in 2021. The brand said in a statement, “(Pharrell) is a visionary whose creative universes expand from music to art, and to fashionestablishing himself as a cultural global
Other names floated as successors to Abloh included British designers Grace Wales Bonner and Martine Rose, as well as US designers Telfar Clemens and Colm Dillane (aka Kid Super) who was announced as Louis Vuitton’s first ever menswear guest designer last month. Many fashion pundits took this as a signal that Dillane would be chosen to fill the coveted role at Louis Vuitton. How wrong could
Not since Kanye West launching billion dollar brand, Yeezy, have we been this excited. Pharrell has worked for Chanel in the past and collaborated twice with Louis Vuitton, back in 2004 and 2008 for as an artistic director.
Pieto Beccari, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton said of Williams in a statement on Instagram. “His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton toward a new and very exciting chapter.”
Pharrell will showcase his first collection with Louis Vuitton next June during Paris Fashion
LG Electronics has unveiled its latest TV screen at a whopping 272 inches! Presented in Barcelona at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2023, LG is demonstrating “cutting-edge digital signage solutions” using various technologies, including Micro LED, Transparent OLED Signage and LED, that could pave the way for even larger TV screens for every household.
Needless to say, cinema giants like Odeon and Vue are not happy about this latest announcement especially as the ambient light rejection screen (ALR) blocks 85% of unwanted light while in use, offering the ultimate in-home entertainment!
Go bold and bright this Spring with a yellow sweat top that is both fun and versatile. To celebrate Pharrell Williams collab with Louis Vuitton we have picked this 100% cotton yellow and blue logo sweat top coming in at £999 in Minted. If Skinted this month, ASOS Design’s vibrant, lemon, tie-dye effect sweat top is a steal at only £32.
The news comes off the back of the world’s first stretchable TV display, also created by the tech giant. LG announced in Seoul it will be launching a 12inch high-resolution stretchable display equipped with free-form technology enabling the screen to extend, fold and twist without causing distortion or damage to the picture quality. Wow!
Boasting a benchmark-setting 20 per cent stretchability and a resolution of 100ppi (pixels per inch) and full-colour RGB.
LG is marketing the commercialisation potential of its stretchy display, paving the way for wearable advertising. Surrey Rocks March 2024 Issue in T-Shirts and Hoodies, why not?

This fresh and filling salmon dish is packed full of heart healthy ingredients, is rich in calcium, iron and vitamin C and makes up 4 of your 5 a day. Get that summer bod in shape early with only 500 calories per serving.
(Serves 2)
l 4 small fresh beetroots
l 1½ tbsp rapeseed oil
l 1 tsp coriander seeds
l 2 skinless salmon fillets
l 2½ small oranges, zest of 1 and juice of half
l 3 tbsp pumpkin seeds
l 1 garlic clove
l 1 red onion, finely chopped
l 4 handfuls baby spinach leaves
l 1 avocado
METHOD
1. Heat oven to 180C, 160C fan, gas 4. Trim the stems of the beetroot and reserve any tender leaves that are suitable for eating in the salad.
2. Cut the beetroots into quarters then toss with 1/2 tbsp oil, the coriander seeds, and some seasoning then pile into the centre of a large sheet of foil and wrap up like a parcel.
3. Bake for 45 mins or until the beetroots are tender then top with the salmon, scatter over half the orange zest and return to the oven for 15 mins. If you want to toast the pumpkin seeds, put them in the oven for 10 mins.
4. Cut the peel and pith from 2 oranges then cut out the segments with a sharp knife working over a bowl to catch
the juices. Finely grate the garlic and leave for 10 mins to allow the enzymes to activate. Stir the garlic into the orange juice and remaining oil with seasoning to make a dressing.
5. Remove the parcel from the oven and carefully lift off the fish. Tip the beetroot into a bowl with the red onion, remaining orange zest, pumpkin seeds and spinach leaves and toss well.
6. Gently toss through the orange segments and avocado with any beet leaves then pile onto plates and top with the warm salmon. Drizzle over the dressing and serve while still warm.
Salmon is such a versatile dish to pair with wine, it makes sense to look first at the sauce to match the flavour profile of the entire dish. If going with a zesty orange flavour, you might want to consider an MRV blend (Marsanne/Roussanne/Viognier) which brings out a nice tropical element while straddling a line between Chardonnays and the more acidic Sauvignon Blancs. If you prefer your salmon with a nice dry wine pair with a Russian River Pinot Noir.
Professional hitman and assassin John Wick takes on his most lethal adversaries yet in the fourth installment of Lionsgate’s popular action series.
With the price on his head ever increasing, Wick takes his fight against the High Table global as he seeks out the most powerful players in the underworld, from New York to Paris to Osaka to Berlin.
Keanu Reeves - not known for his acting abilities in general (‘Bill & Ted’ need we say more) absolutely nails this part of Wick bringing a moody, edgy character with a surprisingly likeable charm.
There are some great supporting actors in this film. Namely ‘Boyz N The Hood’ actor Laurence Fishburne as Bowery King and ‘Lovejoy’s’ Ian McShane as Winston Scott, Wick’s friend and allie at the Continental Hotel.
‘Highlanders’ Chad Stahelski is back directing this fourth and potentially final chapter, alongside Chapter 3 writer Shay Hatten.
Stahelski teased the fourth film during a recent interview (laden with expletives!) by saying the film would not have a happy ending for Wick.
“John may survive all this shit but at the end of it, there’s no happy ending. He’s got nowhere to go. Honestly, I challenge you right now, here’s a question to you: How do you f***ing want me to end it? Do you think he’s going to ride off into the f***ing sunset? He’s killed 300 f***ing people and he’s just going to walk away like everything’s okay? He’s just going to fall in love with a love interest? If you’re this f***ing guy, if this guy really existed, how is this guy’s day going to end? He’s f***ed for the rest of his life. It’s just a matter of time.”
Catch the film in cinemas from March 24th.
Pop princess Miley Cyrus is back with her eighth studio album ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ released on March 10th.
Having released single ‘Flowers’ celebrating love, courage and heartbreak on January 13th to huge commercial success and radio airplays this new album promises to be more of the same and has been described by the singer as her “love letter to Los Angeles” although the lyrics seem to reference the end of her marriage.
Cyrus split up with her actor Liam Hemsworth in 2019 with both parties citing “too much conflict in the marriage.”
There’s a verse in single ‘Flowers’ in which Miley sings, “Built a Home and watched it burn.”
The new album was recorded in L.A. and features production from Tyler Johnson, Kid Karpoom and Greg Kursten.
The former ‘Hannah Montana’ star wrote several songs with producer Michael Pollack and Gregory “Aldae” Hein. They were conceived only with piano, then evolved into their final versions, according to Pollack.
Pollack said in a recent interview that Cyrus decided to focus on songcraft before tackling the production.
‘Endless Summer Vacation’ will be released on both digital and physical formats on March 10, 2023, through Columbia and is being teased with billboards promising ‘New Year, New Miley.’
Already optioned for TV (starring Tom Hiddleston and Olivia Coleman), and with the UK’s leading thriller writers from James Patterson to Anthony Horowitz giving it the thumbs up, The Chase is set to be 2023’s most addictive read.
In this race-against-the-clock thriller, a female British spy has twelve hours to deliver her asset across London while being pursued through the streets of London by Russian intelligence. Can she make it without being spotted or killed?
Secret agent, Emma Makepeace has barely graduated from basic training when she gets the call for her first major assignment. Emma must covertly travel across the world’s most watched city to bring the reluctant adult son of Russian dissidents into protective custody, so long as the assassins from the tracking him down don’t get to him first.
With London’s famous Ring of Steel hacked by the Russian government, the two must cross the city without being seen by the hundreds of thousands of CCTV cameras that document every inch of the city’s streets.
The underground, buses, trains and cars, are completely out of the question. Traveling on foot, with no phone or bank cards, Emma and her charge have twelve hours to make it to safety. This will take all of Emma’s skills of disguise and subterfuge.
Just one wrong move could get them both killed and the clock is ticking…
A massive new talent in British fiction, Ava Glass’s storytelling is complex and finely crafted, combining twisting plotlines, intelligent dialogue and ambiguous characters, all skilfully brought together in an epic climax. Never before has spy fiction been so nail-bitingly real.

Dr Go Figure is a revolutionary weight loss programme, using the most cutting edge and innovative technology to essentially bio hack your way to faster more effective weight loss. Dr Go Figure is all about improving the way we lose weight. This is not a quick fix Faddy diet.
We use the Emerald laser to liquidise and release the fat from the fat cell. We then use a lymphatic drainage suit to break down the released fat allowing it to be metabolised away quickly.
We combine this with EMS - Electro muscle stimulation personal training. This involves wearing a suit that delivers electrical impulses externally to the muscles. This means that when you’re doing something like a simple bicep curl, you are also building muscles in your thighs, hips, buttocks, abdomen, back shoulders, et cetera) you can do a full body workout in only 20 minutes. By combining the Emerald laser with EMS we are able to deliver safe, effective weight loss, approximately 30% faster than doing it on your own.
The Dr Go Figure programme also includes nutritional coaching, 3-D scanning, so we can see improvements in body composition and podcasts to educate you on how your body works, and the kind of nutrition it needs.
The Dr Go Figure programme is available exclusively at Light Touch Clinic Weybridge. It is one of the most cutting-edge weight loss programmes available today.

Pop princess Miley Cyrus is back with her eighth studio album ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ released on March 10th.
She’s definitely matured from her ‘Hannah Montana’ and ‘Wrecking Ball’ days, having released single ‘Flowers’ celebrating love, courage and heartbreak to huge commercial success and radio airplays.
‘Endless Summer’ promises to be more of the same and has been described by the singer as her “love letter to Los Angeles” where she has recently moved although the lyrics seem uncannily enough to reference the end of her marriage to Liam Hemsworth.
Cyrus split up with her Australian actor Hemsworth in 2019 with both parties citing “too much conflict in the marriage.”
There’s a verse in single ‘Flowers’ in which Miley sings, “Built a Home and watched it burn.”
The new album was recorded in L.A. (hence the nod to her endless summer there).
Chris Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky had a few words to say about the rumours the album is about her brother-inlaw.
“It’s a very old topic for us,” she said. “If someone should talk, it should be Liam, but I think she (Cyrus) can do what she wants.” When asked if she’s kept in contact with Cyrus, Hola! reported that Pataky said, “Not anymore because we live in different countries and it’s difficult.”
Prior to the breakup, Pataky, who’s been married to Chris since 2010, appeared to have a close relationship with Cyrus.
The ‘Endless Summer Vacation’ album has been tipped to be her finest work yet. It features production from music greats Tyler Johnson, Kid Karpoom and Greg Kursten.
The former ‘Hannah Montana’ star wrote several songs with acclaimed producer Michael Pollack and Gregory “Aldae” Hein. They were conceived only with piano, then evolved into their final versions.
‘Endless Summer Vacation’ is released on both digital and physical formats this March 10th, through Columbia and is being teased with billboards promising ‘New Year, New Miley.’
Although not officially announced yet, fans of Miley Cyrus believe she could headline Brighton Pride - after it was revealed a countdown on the star’s website ends at the same time the event’s headliners are set to be announced.
Pride organisers are not commenting on headliners, following speculation earlier this year that Rihanna could perform at the event - which now seems unlikely after it was revealed at Super Bowl that she is pregnant with her second child.
Writing on social media, a fan said,”Miley Cyrus has a countdown on her website that ends at the same time Brighton Pride are doing their first artist announcement. Please let this link up.”
Pride in Brighton is widely considered as top billing as the number one LGBTQ festival.
In case you didn’t know, Cyrus came out as pansexual to her mother at the age of 14 and has been a strong supporter of the LGBTQ Community.

Sadly in this day and age (!) ‘ageing’ is often paired with ‘anti’, but it shouldn’t always have to be. We dispel the myths and explore our cultural obsession with the eternal quest for youth.
Ageing is an extraordinary process where you become the person you always should have been
- David Bowie
“ “
As we are now in a booming anti-ageing culture, we have become highly uncomfortable with the ageing process, and many of us have lost the ability to embrace it. Where does this come from? Is it down to our own insecurities? Is society pressuring us to stay young? Or is it just our desire to turn back the clock that is nevertheless ticking away? We have always been told to respect our elders, yet becoming elderly is portrayed in the media as such a frightening way of life. Many people are deciding to hide the ageing process through plastic surgery and Botox. Is this down to vanity, or is there a deeper reason? The profitability of companies that benefit from this feeling pray on our insecurities and make us doubt one of the most natural parts of life. Let’s look at how the anti-ageing culture of today is really affecting our society.
The desire to want to look good shows great selfconfidence. You actually care enough about yourself to want to make a good impression on the people you meet. However, it’s good to enjoy the experience of taking care of your looks, but it’s another thing entirely to feel obligated to stay youthful in order to be deemed worthy.
On a more positive note, 40% of women say they find it easier to speak their mind now that they’re older, 35% of women don’t try so hard to impress others, and 1 in 3 women think one of the main advantages of ageing is increased confidence. This
brings us full circle! Caring about how you look is a great sign of self-confidence, but just being yourself and not caring what anyone else thinks also shows confidence. The point is, it doesn’t matter how you are choosing to age, as long as you are happy with your decision and are doing the right thing for you, not anyone else.
The most obvious way people are exposed to the anti-ageing culture is through social media. Studies show that social media makes women in particular feel insecure and selfconscious about the way they look. However, what you see on the surface of social media doesn’t always match what’s happening deep down. People curate what they want their life to
look like to others on social media, but when you’re the person looking at their photos, all you see is the life you don’t have. You may see someone online who
has glowing skin and zero wrinkles. Don’t get me wrong, some people have amazing genes, but at a certain age you are going to get wrinkles, and that’s okay. What you don’t see when looking at that person’s social media is how much work, effort, and money they have put into looking the way they do. And before you start analysing why you don’t look like your Instagrammable counterparts be safe in the knowledge that that is NOT what people actually look like anyway! According to The Modems in a Case 24 survey of 3,000 UK residents, a staggering 71% of people edit their selfies before uploading! A further 54% change imperfections on their skin and 33% edit their lips. Staggering!
Nowadays, ‘getting work done’ has become almost normalised in our society, so when older women say that they haven’t had anything done, it’s seen as shocking. However, there are still many older

l ‘Getting old is like climbing a mountain; you get a little out of breath, but the view is much better!’ - Ingrid Bergman

women out there choosing to embrace their age. Lots of celebrities have spoken out about their opinion on the subject of getting older and had some interesting things to say, especially about being role models for the younger generation. Drew Barrymore has expressed, “I’m now determined more than ever to show my daughters that ageing is a luxury’. Similarly, Reese Witherspoon said, ‘I just feel like I earned that grey hair and my fine lines. I like ‘em’. The common theme with all the women who have spoken about how they are embracing their age is perspective. They know that they’re not going to look like they did when they were 25 at 55, and they also know that that’s okay. The fear of aging disproportionately affects women, but sadly it’s not just women, young girls are affected too. While doing research for this article I saw that a question commonly being searched online was ‘How can we prevent ageing at a young
In an attempt to expose this growing trend, the British fashion photographer John Rankin Waddell, launched a social experiment which he aptly named “Selfie Harm”. In this series, Rankin asked 15 teenagers to edit and retouch portraits of themselves until they considered the photos to be “social media ready”. The results were truly shocking. Displayed next to each other, Rankin’s untouched portraits show naturally beautiful women against cartoonish and doll-like caricatures. Bulging eyes and pouty lips, feature in these retouched
photographs, highlighting the sad reality of beauty standards in a social media obsessed world. These portraits are of course a byproduct of wider mental health issues relating to social media, such as body dysmorphia and social anxiety. We are trained by these standards of beauty to not only hide our flaws, but to blur them out completely.
Rankin has said that this cult of the selfie is “just another reason why we are living in a world of FOMO, sadness, increased anxiety, and Snapchat dysmorphia”.
age?’. Although this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it also proposes the question, why are young girls worried about ageing? There is enough to worry about when you’re a teenager, and now the fear of ageing is added to that. The answer to that question online offered some great advice like, protect your skin from the sun, moisturise, don’t smoke and stay out of tanning beds. However, it also said ‘Avoid repetitive facial movements, like squinting, frowning…’. This applies not only to young girls, but to any person out there, why would you want to avoid showing your emotions on your face out of fear of aging? If you want to cry, cry. If you want to smile, smile. You only get one life, so enjoy today for what it is. Here are what two teenage girls had to say on this issue: How does seeing edited pictures on social media
affect how you see yourself?
Emma, 15: ‘It doesn’t really phase me to be honest, I usually just swipe or click away’.
Katie, 18: ‘It makes me feel as if there are unrealistic expectations on what I’m supposed to look like, and it makes me feel bad about myself being compared to the edited photos’. How do you view plastic surgery and Botox?
Shana, 13: ‘I don’t agree with it, but if one of my friends were to want it, I would support them’. Katie went on to say: ‘I think that those things are unnecessary as everyone should feel comfortable in their own skin, however, the influence of social media has caused people to believe that the only way to look good is if they stay young and fill yourself with these toxic chemicals – I think that being beautiful is about owning who you are and loving yourself for that exact reason’.
If you really care about how you look stay out of the sun!
According to scientists at EPA in the US 90% of visible skin changes commonly attributed to ageing are caused by the sun. With proper protection from UV radiation, most premature aging of the skin can be avoided guys and girls! Don’t smoke, eat healthily and exercise. Researchers at the University of Birmingham and King’s College London have found that staying active keeps the body young and healthy. The Brigham Young University study also found that people who ran 30 to 40 minutes at high intensity five days a week were consistently biologically younger than those who followed more moderate exercise programs, or who led sedentary lifestyles. Oh and don’t take too much notice of unattainable social media – no one looks like that anyway!

Inspired by the original Manhattan Bar that TGI had on 63rd and 1st, the US conglomerate has diversified launching a new, more upmarket enterprise. Interestingly, the only two 63RD & 1sts are in NYC and Cobham, Surrey. As much as our reviewers wanted to dislike the start of the new chain; the service, food, décor and cocktails requests we tested them on – were on point. A brave, bold move but this restaurant excelled on every level.

Wow, just wow! Located In the heart of Oxted, Cattle & Cocktail, surpassed all of our tasters expectations.
The décor is out of this world cool, with a number of trees inside billowing with white blossom, cool ‘birdcage’ style gold chairs and modern white walls adorned with cool signage. As well as the drop-dead-gorgeous Main Restaurant there is a decadent Lounge Area and Outdoor Terrace, perfect for those pre-dinner tipples or sharing plates.
Cattle & Cocktail’s drinks list is mightily impressive with
30 Wines including more decadent wines like Chateauneufdu-page and Dom Perignon. Cocktail wise, they do all the classics and lots of originals like Biscoff Martini Cocktail and the Lemon Meringue Pie containing lemon vodka, limoncello and lemon curd ! We went for the ‘Back In Malibu’ which was a unique combination of tropical coconut, pineapple and dark fruit, a Cattle & Cocktail favourite – so delicious and refreshing. We also sampled the ‘French 75’ with a hint of gin and dash of lemon.
Billed as a modern steakhouse, Cattle & Cocktail serve a wide selection of cuts from only the finest British produced meat as well sustainably sourced seafood.
On the recommendation of our attentive waiter Callum and manager Jonno we opted for Asian-spiced, pulled beef Bao Buns with carrot and coriander. The meat was so tasty and the spiced sauce was delicious and sweet. These are definitely 5 star! Also to start we went for Pan Seared Scallops served with golden samphire, pomegranate seeds and grape dressing. The Scallops were melt in the mouth good and complimented the sweet dressing.
For mains we went for the Fillet Steak and Pepper Sauce – cooked medium rare to perfection - the steak was the juiciest and most tender cut of beef, perfectly pink in the middle, compliments to the chef! The steak was served with tomato and rocket salad. The pepper sauce was thick and plentiful, presented beautifully in jug with red peppercorns on top.
Next up was the Lobster & Burger, a Cattle & Cocktail speciality. A perfectly cooked half tail of lobster cooked with a hint of garlic and herbs.
The ‘Cattle Beef Burger’ was laden with cheese, bacon and served in a toasted brioche bun with tomato, lettuce, red onion, onion chutney and gherkin. This was devine! All Cattle & Cocktail burgers are minced and made on site using only the finest, high quality beef and come with french fries. We also had the tasty sides of mac and cheese, roasted new potatoes and a rocket parmesan salad. There was a lot of food but we ploughed our way through it!
Unfortunately we didn’t have room for dessert but will definitely be back as the Chocolate Brownie and Sticky Toffee Pudding other guests were served looked amazing! Their 8 Liquid Dessert options were a nice touch too on the dessert menu too!
Well a lot! Cattle & Cocktail are a fun bunch. They have introduced an impressive line-up of offers to keep you coming back for more.
Every Tuesday is Steak Night with 50% off all steaks when you buy any starter and on Wednesday’s a Burger, Fries and 1/2 Lobster is priced at only £25 when you buy any starter. Plus, enjoy Martini Thursdays where the cocktails are only £7 from 5-7pm.
There is also Bottomless Brunch every Saturday, where you can choose from unlimited Prosecco or Cocktails alongside the set lunch menu from 12-2.30pm.
Plus, the Oxted eatery has launched a fabulous TuesdayFriday weekday lunch menu priced at only £10.95 and have just started doing At Home Boxes so you can make their delicious meals at home!
HARE & BONE IS THE CREATION OF SAM BURNETT, AN AWARD-WINNING HAIR STYLIST AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR WHOSE INNOVATIVE DESIGNS HAVE INSPIRED INTERNATIONAL CAMPAIGNS AND GLOBAL BRANDS.
AS A RESULT, HARE & BONE IS AN INSTINCTIVE FASHION-FOCUSED, STYLE AND TREND CONSCIOUS SALON THAT IS SET APART BY OUR CREATIVE SESSION EXPERIENCE.
SAM’S MISSION FOR HARE & BONE IS SIMPLE: TO PROVIDE EVERY ONE OF OUR CLIENTS WITH AN EXCEPTIONAL SALON EXPERIENCE, WHILST LEAVING WITH HAIR THEY ABSOLUTELY LOVE!
HOUSED IN COMFORTABLE AND RELAXED SPACES IN FITZROVIA AND ESHER, THEIR SALONS ARE ROOTED IN BRITISH HERITAGE WITH A MODERN AESTHETIC.
London Fashion Week is over and we’re all super inspired by another great season. One show we worked on this time was VIN + OMI. These designers have been eco-pioneers since 2004 and it was important for us to work with a sustainable brand, to learn more and support designers doing great things on a more conscious level. We worked with an outer space concept to create hair that looked impactful but not polished. We focus a lot of our energy at the forefront of trends, working directly with designers to create hair that reflects their collection and what’s happening in the fashion world. It fills the team with inspiration and in salon, we take these trends and filter them down to be suitable for our clients.
One key trend coming from Fashion Week that doesn’t require any adapting is the ‘I woke up like this’ hair, the perfect ‘French girl’ inspired style. Slightly dishevelled, the key point to note with this hair is the condition; this look only works on hair that is coloured to perfection, full of moisture and freshly cut. A lot more goes on
behind the scenes with this style, but the look is expensive yet effortless.
Then we have the Disco Curls. What’s not to love about Disco Curls? Inspired by the iconic days of Studio 54, they often make star appearances throughout the years. Kylie’s ‘Spinning Around’ video. Kate Moss on her 30th wearing that blue sequin dress. Disco curls have become an iconic style. Thanks to Emily Ratajkowski and Cardi B who have been rocking curls lately, you should expect to see a lot more of them in the coming months.
1.BLOWDRY

Last month I introduced our relaunched HARE Menu to you, and it’s been lovely to meet so many new people in the salon. I wanted to introduce you to a few key members of the Esher team so you can get to know a little more about them.
Our show with VIN + OMI at LFW emulated a DIY vibe, using hair clips as accessories.
Sam: Who’s your celeb hair icon?
Mary: It would have to be Sienna Miller, that fringe and those slept-in waves are just perfect.
Sam: Yeah, she wears the boho vibe well. And always has the right shade of blonde. Tell us why you love working at HARE & BONE.
Mary: I love my clients. Everyone is so interesting and vastly different. But I also love my work friends who are just like an extension of my family.
Sam: Whose hair would you most like to look after?
Mary: Adele. She has beautiful hair that looks like it would be lovely to blowdry and I’m pretty sure we’d become great friends.
Sam: What’s your favourite spring/summer trend?
Holly: I love blonde, beach waves. They’re always great for the summer months and work at the beach and festivals. They never go out of style with the right cut and colour application. I’m also loving the French bob this season. Shorter than the classic bob and dried with a bedhead texture, they’re the perfect undone look.
Sam: Good choice, two of my favourites also. And what would be your go-to product recommendation for clients?
Holly: The KMS AntiHumidity Spray for less frizz and more shine. It acts like an umbrella for your hair and I recommend it to all my clients.
Sam: And what do you love about being part of the HARE & BONE team?
Holly: I love the inspiration everyone has, we’re always inspiring each other which makes for a positive working environment. I also love getting involved with local events, meeting new people and sharing ideas.
Sam: Who’s hair would you most like to look after?
Saria: In all honesty, I would love to look after my mum’s hair. She lives abroad which means I’m not able to do it for her, she has supported me so much in my career and I would love to give her the hair loving she deserves.
Sam: That’s a lovely answer, Saria. I’m sure she is really proud of you. What do you love the most about working in Esher?
Saria: I love the community feel that Esher gives, we know people in all areas and everyone is super friendly. I also really enjoy the farmers market that comes once a month.
Sam: And what does your perfect Sunday in Esher look like?
Saria: My perfect Sunday in Esher would be slow, watching a movie in Everyman Cinema with a glass of wine and a pizza.
Sam: Who’s your celeb hair icon?
Dan: Harry Styles. He has great hair but I could never get my hair to look like his.
Sam: Good choice, Harry does have good style. And other than Harry Styles, who would you most like to work with?
Dan: Jennifer Lopez. Her hair colour and styles are always flawless.
Sam: Again, another good choice. What do you love about working at HARE & BONE?
Dan: The team. I love my team in Esher and couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. There’s such a great sense of team spirit, we all help and support each other. I also love the design and flow of the salon, it’s open and calm but also really welcoming to clients.
We are also welcoming a new addition to the salon this month. Stacy Odwell is a natural extensions specialist. Her brand of unique hand-tied extensions has gained her a celebrity clientele and if you check out her Instagram you can see why. We’ll be talking to Stacy in more detail next month but in the meantime, you can follow her at @naturalx.co.
If you have any other questions, please drop Surrey Rocks an email on info@rocksmag.com or visit our Esher salon at 7 High Street, KT10 9RL where myself and the team are always happy to help answer any questions.
You can also follow us on social at @hareandbone for the latest news from the team.

Winter is cosy and comforting with the thermal floors and heated relaxation beds. I love how they have hairdryers and straighteners in the changing rooms for you, they really have thought of everything. For a joining fee of £750 and an annual fee £3590, you have unlimited access to the spa 365 days a year. This is inclusive of all studio classes from yoga to street dance. You also get 20% off spa treatments from Tuesdays to Thursdays. Yes please!
You know how much I’m obsessed with Beaverbrook. The fact that it is a very short drive from my house makes it a no brainer for me to become a member of the Coach House Spa (husband take note!) Membership gives you access to all facilities Monday to Friday with a joining fee of £500 and an annual fee of £4,500. This includes a health consultation, fitness induction and three Personal Trainer sessions. You get 15% off all spa treatments as well as 25 complimentary group classes such as yoga and Hitt. You also get four complimentary guest passes. I’m not sure how pleased my friends would be if I said we were going to Beaverbrook for a workout rather than for lunch! Fear not, you can do both because the Coach House Deli serves the most delicious, tasty and nutritious food.
Lets not forget the kiddies! RAC Woodcote have been very clever to attract families with their newly built Walled Garden. They have an enchanting Woodland which you can wonder through, an indoor pool, outdoor splash area which my kids are a huge fan of, soft play facility, numerous play areas as well as a creche. For me this is one of the nicest (not to mention cleanest) soft plays I have been to. No more wincing at the germ laden ball pits and dirty floors covered in baby drool, this is spotless and perfect for the little ones. The RAC has so much more to offer including a golf course, spa treatments and restaurants. The club holds many social and sporting activities including fireworks displays, comedy nights and Santa’s grotto. There are various types of membership fees but the full membership fee is £4,750 to subscribe, followed by an annual fee of £2,124. Junior membership is also open to children,
as well as guardian memberships to nannies and grannies for £250 annually. Membership also gives you access to the Pall Mall Clubhouse which has 108 bedrooms, a business centre as well as a gym and treatment rooms. How very handy for when you want to stay in London. Be warned, the application process can take months, I applied in May last year and I am still waiting for mine…
Soho House is not just a destination, it’s a brand. Everything about it screams laid back luxury which is the epitome of Soho Farmhouse. Set in the idyllic Cotswolds countryside, it’s no wonder that it’s the countryside retreat of choice for the mega-rich and celebrities. From the moment you arrive there is a sense of calmness yet there is so much to do for all ages. You can swim indoors or outdoors at the Cowshed Spa, go clay pigeon shooting, horse-
riding, bike riding, take your kids to the epic outdoor play area (or put them in the crèche and go for a massage?!).
Not to mention the multiple restaurants they have. I love the atmosphere of the main Barn, its vast and glamorous yet laid back.
The half baked cookie on the dessert menu is a MUST! Becoming a member here enables you to use any of the Houses around the world, however it is notoriously tricky. If you are lucky enough to be accepted as a Soho House member, you will be paying a joining fee of £550 and then an annual fee of £2,750. Check out the ‘Soho Friends’ membership. Whilst it does not give you access to the Club spaces in the houses as the full membership would, it enables you to go to a House if you have booked a bedroom to stay there. Again, if you are lucky enough to be accepted, at only £100, its totally worth it!

I’M AMY ELD, OWNER OF ROCK THE HEIRLOOM.
ANTIQUES ROCK MY WORLD, AND I WANT TO SHOW YOU HOW YOU CAN MIX THEM UP WITH WHATEVER YOU HAVE IN YOUR HOME TO CREATE A RELAXED, UNORTHODOX AND UNIQUELY STYLISH LOOK. ROCK THE HEIRLOOM IS A TRUE REFLECTION OF MY OWN STYLE.
Nothing feels as good as finding that gorgeous one-off piece that will make your interior pop. But who wants to trawl for hours on eBay, hanging around for just the right time to hit the bid button? Or get up at the crack of dawn to find the best pieces at antiques markets up and down the country? That’s where I
can help. I’m Amy Eld, owner of Rock the Heirloom. Antiques rock my world, and I want to show you how you can mix them up with whatever you have in your home to create a relaxed, unorthodox and uniquely stylish look. Rock the Heirloom is a true reflection of my own style, and sells a carefully curated selection of beautiful, quirky and unique pieces that will make you smile.
The best thing about my job is the wonderful people I meet along the way: crazy, colourful, eclectic folk who share a passion for antiques.
And it’s these people who make up my little black book of dealers and specialists, which helps me find your perfect piece at
the right price. I’m often asked along when historic houses and family piles are being reorganised and cleared to make way for new pieces, so I’m first in line to snap up the cream of the crop.
When I’m sourcing for clients, I find that nothing quite compares to touching an item, inspecting it, and talking to the dealer to find out its provenance and heritage.
As an avid attender of antiques fairs, markets and auctions, I’ve built up relationships with a pool of carefully chosen, reputable suppliers both in the UK and abroad, who provide anything from rustic, industrial, mid-century and decorative staples from a range of periods. Spanish sunburst mirrors, oak, mahogany and walnut furniture, French marble-top chocolatiers’ tables,
chandeliers, brass and steel baker’s racks, Windsor chairs, Staffordshire dogs, silver cocktail shakers and crystal glasses are just a few of the hidden gems that I can get my hands on. I will work very hard to find those special, stand-out, one-off pieces for you.
I work with individuals looking for their own interiors or help them find the perfect gift for others, as well as interior designers who are sourcing for
their clients’ homes. This service is available to every one of my clients, and I’m available for both consulting and commissions.
If you are looking for that beautiful, rare and unusual item, I would be delighted to help you with your search.
Please get in touch to start the hunt!

21 MAR – 20 APR
Remember Aries, you have all the tools you need to manifest the future you want. March is going to be all about the blossoming and fruition of your ideas. This is the beginning for you, so don’t get frustrated if things take a little bit longer than expected. Although you are known to be the fiery ones of the zodiac, you have so much wisdom inside of you that will help you find your way. For this month, focus on your next few steps instead of the entire journey. Take each day as it comes. Finally, anxiety may be showing its ugly head within the next couple of weeks, but don’t let it beat you. It’s clear that worrying is second nature to you, but what if everything goes right and you get all that you have dreamed of?
21 APR – 20 MAY
Are repetitive tasks making life unexciting at the moment Taurus? This isn’t exactly the time for bold ideas right now. Sometimes you have to get on with the mundane foundational work before you can branch out into broader horizons. With this going on in your life at the moment, it isn’t unusual for you to be more disorganised than normal. Take some time this month to gather yourself and get what needs to be done in order. This is unlikely to be natural for you, so don’t be too hard on yourself in the meantime. On a happier note, March is going to be full of love, harmony, and co-operation for you. Gentle childhood memories may resurface, giving this month a warm comforting vibe. Love and respect are all around you!
22 MAY – 21 JUNE
All that guilt you have been feeling for a while now is finally going to float away this month, Gemini. Whether it’s to do with family, romance, friendship, or work, you are going to come into your own and be proud of who you are, instead of hide away from it. Stop punishing yourself and know that you have done your best, and all you are going to do is get better. Emotionally, you don’t need to concentrate too hard, as you are very self-aware and know your strengths and weaknesses. You have an air of authority about you, and others will see this in full force in March. Having power and control is something you feel like you need, however, this month is likely going to teach you to control yourself, not the people around you.
22 JUNE – 23 JULY
You are a very stable person Cancerian, however, ambitions and goals have been made on false premises lately, which are all going to reveal themselves sooner rather than later. Foundations in your life have been built on shaky grounds, and now is the time to go back and repair them. Focus on your roots before you start to grow your branches. March is going to be all about recovery for you. It’s safe to say things weren’t easy for you last month, so in the upcoming weeks, relaxing and allowing your body to recharge is so important. You have to take care of yourself before you can look after anyone else. Finally, you are likely to find yourself taking a private walk down memory lane in March.
24
There is an imbalance in your life at the moment Leo that has led you to make some questionable decisions. Whether your work life balance is off, or you’re giving too much of yourself to someone, take some time this month to get back on track. The flow of your life will be normal once again very soon. Even though your outer world may be complicated, internally you are aligned with your highest good. You know exactly what you want your life to look like and are fighting for every opportunity being placed on your path. Once you balance your life again, it’s going to be even easier to carry on with your journey. Finally, March is the time to retreat into your own inner world.
24 AUG – SEPT 3
You are likely to find yourself nurturing the people around you this month Virgo. Is there someone in your life who just brings out your caring nature? Make sure to give them extra attention in the upcoming weeks. When it comes to romance, new relationships are going to enter your life very soon. If you’re single, this is a new romantic relationship emerging. If you’re part of a couple, your relationship is going to be injected with fresh life! Finally, if a situation in your life is showing no progress, it may be time to stop fighting against the tide. Don’t think of it as giving up, think of it as starting something new. There’s no shame in stopping something that just isn’t working.
24 SEPT – 23 OCT
March is all about finding the balance between your head and heart, Libra. Not only are you able to find logical solutions to problems, but you also have the ability to follow your intuition and allow your emotions to guide you. As you are a natural leader, these traits make you wonderful at achieving your goals, while also caring about the people around you. On the other hand, you are likely to encounter many delays this month. Things may seem like they’re happening very slowly but trust the timing of life. Don’t rush, you have time. Finally, as a Libra, you are a natural pessimist. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it’s good to remember to look on the positive side every once in a while. What if everything turns out the way you hoped?
24 OCT – 22 NOV
Beauty is incredibly important to you Scorpio, and luckily, it is the main theme for your March. Whether this is getting a new beauty treatment, decorating your home, or going to a new beautiful place, seeing glamour around you is what you need right now. Take some time to organise your life so that beauty is the first thing you see every morning. Moving on, disappointments and regrets have been playing on your mind lately. This is only natural. However, make sure to not miss any new opportunities because you are so fixed on your losses. Finally, in the upcoming weeks, you are going to need to have courage and be brave. You’re not going to be in your comfort zone much in March, so trusting yourself and going for it is the way to go.
23 NOV – 21 DEC
As a Sagittarius, you are the ultimate free spirit! Sticking to a structure isn’t great for you, which is why March is all about paving your own way in the world. You know you don’t have to do things the ‘typical’ way, and actually have more fun being your quirky self. When it comes to the people around you, someone is feeling sad and lost. You may have been in an argument with them which has strained the relationship, and even though the fighting has stopped, there’s still an air of disruption in your life. Take some time to build this relationship up again if you feel it’s worth it. Finally, an abundance of joy is set to enter your life at the end of the month.
22 DEC – 20 JAN
Self-discipline is where you thrive Capricorn! March is a month of getting yourself under control and finding power within that. You know you can’t control the outside world, and that’s okay, because you know exactly how to work with what you’ve got. This is a time for you to honour family traditions that may have been neglected for some time now. You are being guided to commit to a practise in its most wholesome form, and with Mother’s Day coming up, family will be a big theme within it. If your life has been lacking tradition, start each day with a little routine that will help you be the best version of yourself. Finally, a sudden change is likely to hit you later on in the month.
By Pia LouisaAs an action-oriented person, you aren’t the type to sit back on the sidelines and wait for things to happen. This is going to be shown big time in March! Think of this month as your time for personal and professional growth. Along with this, your creativity is going to flourish, leading to new ideas that will contribute to your life greatly. Take some time this month to hone your skills and work on your artistic nature. You have so much within you to create. Finally, a rebirth is going to occur at the end of the month, leading to a fresh start in April. All this growth is going to lead to a brand new you. Your best self is on its way to becoming your real self.
This month is going to be all about diversity and differences of opinion, Pisces. You are likely to come across people from different backgrounds and struggle with finding common ground. However, it’s good to remember that you will learn a lot from them by understanding their unique talents and what they have to offer. Letting go of the past is also a major theme in March, as this is what you need to do in order to start over. You are on the verge of a meaningful change but are resisting it. Whether you’re reluctant to let go, or don’t know how to make the change you need, it is necessary that something changes in your life. Finally, towards the end of the month, an awakening will occur where you realise what you want from life right now.
IT’S NOT UNCOMMON TO PHOTOSHOP PICS THESE DAYS. HERE’S OUR ROUND UP OF THOSE THAT HAVE TRIED - AND FAILED MISERABLY - IN PURSUIT OF THE PERFECT PICTURE.
Shadow’s don’t lie! This woman looks incredibly muscular... until you zoom out and look at the shadow on the concrete, which shows she has much thinner arms in real life
Many have said that this photo of a woman from the US looks slightly peculiar, with her legs appearing to look like they are in a funny mirror at theme parks
‘This is not just a fail,’ as one person put, ‘it’s just an I don’t care...’ It’s difficult to know what’s going on in this photo, other than some poorly photoshopped sunglasses put on the wrong way
This US man seemingly tried to Photoshop a darts board onto his body, but as commenters have pointed out, it doesn’t look very realistic
Seems like a real outfit to me... as one user sarcastically put it. They claimed it reminds them of a cardboard cut out that people would try and dress
A Christmas miracle! One American user shared this after they went shopping. There is very little, if any chance, a Christmas tree pancake can be made if the pancake press is not designed that way...
Huge kittens And miniature families can all enjoy this chair! Social media users are a little concerned over the size of the cat in comparison to the people in this one...
On an unknown website, this was advertised as a Gems Corset for $74 US dollars... but people are wondering what they are looking at, as the image apparently does not look like a real person
These ‘butt shaping leggings’ look a little out of proportion, with one user claiming it looks like a computer mousepad at home
One commenter complained their head was hurting at the thought of ‘standing up and hitting your head on the chandelier then the ceiling’ in this image

- Hospices of Hope’s celebrity ambassador, BBC ‘Strictly’ pro dancer Marius Iepure kicked off their March campaign to continue to raise funding for the charity to build a much-needed hospice in Ukraine to help cancer patients.
Marius kindly modelled at Angela & Surrey Rocks’ collaborative Surrey Fashion Week (SFW) Celebrity Charity Catwalk Show last September, proudly supported by his two-time ‘Strictly’ pro champion wife, Oti
Mabuse (now a judge on ‘Dancing On Ice’ & ‘The Masked Dancer’) on front row.
And Angela’s busy recruiting more celebs to join Marius on his altruistic mission, with fellow SFW model &‘Hollyoaks’/’EastEnders’ actor Matt Lapinskas, ‘X-Factor’ star Russell Jones Jr (who performed a magical medley of Rat Pack songs at last weekend’s fundraising gala), writer & awardwinning influencer (London Lifestyle Awards) Victoria Featherstone Pearce, who is currently helping to rescue dogs from Ukraine with her K-9 Angels, and Surrey’s international cover model & Fashion Icon Award winner Goddess Jessica Monaco already pledging to do their 50 squats a day for Ukraine.
Also doing his 50 a day is another star of the fundraising show at the Prince’s fundraiser at The
White House – former soldierturned-TV director Alfie McArthur, who auctioned off a place alongside TV star Calum Best and Calum’s good friend, former Royal Navy marine David McIntosh (who was on private security consultancy work in Ukraine last year, running rescue operations out of Kherson and saving young girls and women from human traffickers). The lucky winner of this exclusive prize will get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train with former SAS soldiers in Alfie & Angela’s new ground-breaking celebrity Army TV show ‘Escape UK’.
Alfie will himself be starring in Hollywood movie ‘David’ - a pioneering action film retelling the classic biblical tale of King David, Goliath and Bathsheba – and driven by Hospices of Hope’s Ukraine campaign, will push himself to the very limits for this cause he is passionate about on this arduous trek, during which he’ll meet up with a few famous faces for a series of celebrity challenges along the way.
Alfie also spoke at The White House event about his forthcoming fundraising trek for Hospices of Hope’s quest to build a new hospice in Ukraine, for which he will soon set out to smash the record for circumnavigating the hardcore South West Coast Path (currently 10 1/2 days) by three whole days, along with his and Angela’s innovative new TV show ‘The Real Street Diaries’ with Channel 4 TV presenter Max McMurdo (George Clarke’s sidekick in ‘Amazing Spaces’ and presenter of new C4 TV show ‘Tool Club’).
Take on our squat challenge in March and join Marius and other famous faces in the ‘50 Squats a Day for Ukraine’ campaign!
We’re asking you to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine, one year on the from the start of the war, by completing 50 squats each day in March. That combines to a whopping 1550 squats if you manage to achieve your goal!
Not only will you be raising money to provide care for adults with cancer and seriously ill children in Ukraine, but you’ll also get fit along the way!
