Bike Night With Dysfunctional Tyrants MC By: Len “3 Wheel” Montgomery emember waaayyyyyyy

back before this Coronavirus mess? Back before our Governor had put a halt to…well, pretty much everything? Well, I do. The Dysfunctional Tyrants MC of Harnett County had just planned to sponsor a bike night at Throwback Thursdays in Dunn, NC. To be held the first Thursday night of each month, the first bike night went off without a hitch. The place was packed full and everyone was having a great time. A 50/50 raffle raised money for a local church’s food bank, the drinks were flowing and the food was great as usual. But once the pandemic was declared, the bike night had to, understandably, come to a temporary end. After a three month hiatus, Bike Night with the Dysfunctional Tyrants MC was back on for July 2nd beginning at 7pm. And since I wanted to both eat AND take photos, I arrived

early to place my food (and beverage) order. That’s right, I may have had a drink or two on the job (but who’s counting). First off, the staff at Throwback Thursdays is great. The bartenders are very friendly, poor a good drink, and are easy on the eyes. The food is freshly cooked with every order. And there is a nice variety to choose from. Everything from excellent appetizers to burgers to wings to quesadillas. Pool tables and darts provide plenty of distraction while you wait. But on this night, DTMC had arranged for a very special bit of entertainment; Axe Throwing! Fat Axe Throwing Company pulled in and within minutes had everything set up. It was a slow start for the axes. But once a few of the ladies stepped up with some impressive throws, the guys jumped right in there going head to head. And a wager may or may not have taken place (shhh). For $10 each, players could throw a round. But for $20, players got unlimited throws, almost like going to a theme park. I didn’t get the opportunity to throw an axe myself. But it looked like a lot of fun and I will be on the lookout for the opportunity in the near future. The guys with Dysfunctional Tyrants put on one hell of a good event. Their next Bike Night will be August 6th, 2020, again at Throwback Thursdays in Dunn, NC. I can’t wait to see what they have in store for everyone that night. Come on out and have a good time. If you can’t wait that long, Dysfunctional Tyrants MC of Johnston County will be hosting Open House most Friday nights in Garner, NC. Reach out to a member to get further details for all of their events. And always support your local 420.
