Ride For Charlotte By: Mike Humbles precious little girl wearing a pink tutu was

excited to see her birthday wish come true on Saturday (7/11).Charlotte wished to see a “moto-tyco pa-wade” for her 2nd birthday. She loves pink flamingos and motorcycles. Her front yard was filled with pink flamingos and her neighborhood was FILLED with over 100 motorcycles!!! Special thanks go out to the all-female Road Sirenz chapter of the Chrome Angelz motorcycle riding club for organizing this fundraising event. Charlotte recently completed her first year of treatment for B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She has undergone two bone marrow aspirations and countless doses of chemotherapy. It was a heartwarming event for a cause that tugs at our heart. I ask that you keep Charlotte and her family in your prayers. Bikers gathered at Tobacco Road Harley-Davidson in Raleigh where they registered, prayed and were led by some great road warriors to Charlotte’s home. The police department as well as the fire department helped us all get around the town and into the neighborhood. Tina Salmon of Chrome Anglez presented Charlotte’s mom, Jessica Lalas, with a check for $5485. As tears flowed, she said, “It’ll pay

off half of what we owe right now!” She told us that Charlotte will be in chemo through October 2021.“She takes chemo at home daily, and then she gets chemo through her spine and through her port, every 12 weeks. “It was a very emotional moment for everyone as we all joined together and sang

Happy Birthday to Charlotte. (If you are in a position to help with their medical bills, please follow the Chrome Anglez Road Sirenz Facebook page for any events and/or opportunities to help Charlotte. Any amount will be appreciated.) From Charlotte’s home, we rode to the Locked & Loaded Bar & Grill in Garner, NC for some great food and fellowship. Thank you all at Locked & Loaded for the excellent service! I know it may have been a bit overwhelming, but like always, you did a great job taking care of us! Thank you, Denise Southerland and Tina Salmon and all the members of Chrome Anglez, Tobacco Road Harley-Davidson, and Locked & Loaded Bar & Grill for a fulfilling ride with my fellow bikers!
