Need A Friend? Ever been out riding around and seen all the empty buildings and old home places? You wonder what has happened to all the people and families that lived in them. I imagine some have passed away and the kids are grown and married and moved away. I’m sure families have fussed and argued about who gets what. But you know what, that doesn’t really matter in the long run, if it tears families apart. What really matters is family. Saw this in my devotions: Friends. One day, all of us get separated from each other. We will miss our conversation. Days, months and years will pass until we rarely see each other. One day our children will see a photo and ask, “Who are these people?” And we will smile with invisible tears and say, It was with them that I had the best days of my life. Life is too short. Grudges are a waste of happiness. Laugh when you can, apologize when you should, and let go of what you can’t change. Love deeply and forgive quickly. Love and family is too short to be unhappy. Need a friend or someone to talk to that will never get mad at you or leave you? Call on Jesus, He’ll always be there for you 24/7. Don’t lay awake at night thinking and worrying
about it, just give it to Jesus, He’ll be up all night anyway. Whatever is going on God can take our broken hearts and make us new. 2 Corinthians 5: 17. If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here.
