Letter From The Editor 23rd year publishing the history of motorcycling in the Carolinas. Our purpose has been and will always be providing positive articles about motorcycling and the best listing of local events for our readers. We had a great time on August 11th at our 22nd Anniversary Bike Night. A lot of our friends came out despite the rain shower. Check out the story in this issue as well as the extra pictures on our website. Despite the ongoing ravages of Covid 19, there are motorcycle events going on. Check out the Cruisin’ Calendar and pick out someplace to ride to – the ultimate in social distancing!! Or just ride on over to any of the bike shops to see for yourself what they are offering. We are, as I’m sure you are, looking forward to fall and getting back to normal, even at the snail’s pace we are going. When you visit one of our advertisers and pick up a copy, please thank them for their support of the motorcycling community. Due to their support, we have been able to publish The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine and provide it to you for free. Even though a lot has changed in the past 22 years, I do not see that changing. Have we had to adapt? You bet we have! Over the years, we have become more than just a print magazine. Visit: FullThrottleMagazine.com to view, the current Cruisin’ Calendar, pictures, videos, past issues, merchandise, and more. You can also sign up to receive weekly event notifications. It has been a great ride, so far, and the road goes on forever, We hope that you will join us and be a part of our next chapters. hank you for joining us as we begin our

One Stop Performance & Customization Shop
Looking snazzy and hauling freight are two of the cornerstones of owning and ripping on a Harley-Davidson. As soon as you lay your eyes on that new or used Harley the first thing you imagine is how you are gonna make it your own. Riding is an individual sport, so you gotta make your bike stand out in the crowd! You may have been picking up different styles from seeing other folks bikes, looking in magazines or have a wild idea of your own. You may just wanna have a bike that is faster than all your buddies bikes, I mean hell, you gotta be able to beat them off the line or pull away in a straight away. Well whether you need to pump up your performance, tear your bike down and rebuild it with custom paint and parts to meet your vision or both, you need to hook up with Kary Blaylock
and the crew at Pandemonium Performance Custom Cycles. Kary has a solid background as a motorcycle mechanic putting in over 23 years in the industry. The shop features 3 other mechanics: Little Dave, Josh & Martin, all of which have plenty of motorcycle maintenance know-how. Pandemonium Performance has the space to work as well with 8 motorcycle lifts and even motorcycle storage availability. They are dealers for S&S, Metzeler Tires and Baker Drivetrain and can take care of all of your motorcycle and accessories needs. With years worth of access to Harley-Davidson tech tips, Pandemonium Performance can guarantee accurate-to-Harley specs to be covered thoroughly.
1121 S. Main St. Lexingt
Pandemonium Performance Custom Cycles, is home to the Down and Dirty Drag Racing team and as the name suggests, cut their teeth on making sure your bike had the performance you were looking for. If your bike is lacking in performance or beauty, bring it by and let Kary and his highly qualified technicians turn some wrenches, make some magic, and transform your motorcycle into a tire shredding, fire breathing, pavement eating monster. Even if you don’t know where to start, stop by and they can get you on the right path. The fellas at Pandemonium are always willing to face-to-face with you, the customer, in order to get things just right; the environment is very welcoming. Performance is just the beginning of what Pandemonium Performance can provide for your motorcycles needs. They are a full custom shop and can handle all your customization ideas and questions. Need an audio upgrade? Pandemonium will pump up the volume. Need some extra bling? Pandemonium will make your bike drip with chrome. Need a killer custom paint job? Pandemonium works with Kevin Parker of Street Style Custom Paint to make sure your paint job is one of a kind! The motorcycle on the cover, for example, came to Pandemonium as a bone stock Street Glide with a laundry list of upgrades wanted. Exhaust and air breather to add a little punch
to the motorcycle’s performance. An electric center stand and full air ride system for the looks. Full on Street Style Custom Paint job, audio upgrades, ape hangers, custom lighting, custom wheels, mirrors, grips the whole package. They took this stock bike and made it a show stopper! If your ride is in need of an upgrade of ANY KIND, performance, style, whatever it may be Pandemonium Performance can handle it from start to finish. Pricing and labor rates are extremely competitive and customer service is on point. Don’t hesitate, Pandemonium Performance is your one stop shop to get your motorcycle on the road looking and riding the way you want it to.

10th Annual I Remember Click Dice Run By: Wally Wersching
I met “Click” Baldwin and his wife Dianne was when they bought the small Harley-Davidson dealership on Franklin Boulevard in Gastonia, NC. I think that it was one of the smallest dealerships in the country. I was a charter member of their Harley Owners Group (HOG), and during the meetings we had to stand between the clothes racks because there was no room for anything. That was in the late 1980’s. Since then, “Click” became a highly respected member of the Harley-Davidson family. I could go on writing about him but if you really want to know about “Click”, and how he died on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 in a motorcycle crash in Montana, Google him. It’s all there! In 2006, I worked for him as a Rider’s Edge coach at Carolina Harley-Davidson (his incredibly large dealership) – one of the biggest in the country. It was fun! He was a great boss. The Carolina Thunder Club honors him every year during the last weekend in July. This year was a little different than previous years. Due to Cavendish Brewing’s recent collaboration with other national brewers introducing a Black is Beautiful beer with a percentage of sales supporting Black Lives Matter, the Carolina Thunder changed the venue for the start and end of the Click Dice Run to the Carolina Thunder Clubhouse at 116 Codylan Trail in Dallas , NC. Carolina he first time
Thunder does not encourage funding to American terrorists or racial hate groups such as Black Lives Matter. It is their commitment to foster a brotherly love with all people and support the fact that everyone matters. On Saturday, July 25th, I was riding “Miss Vickie” east on Rte.74. I exited at Rte.161 and turned left to go through Bessemer City. I turned left onto Rte. 274, and then merged right with Rte. 275 through Dallas. In town, I turned left onto Oakland Street. After passing the school, the road changed to Philadelphia Church Road. I was watching and saw the sign for Codylan Trail on the left. I turned into the narrow drive and followed it to a very beautifully landscaped yard where many bikes were already parked. After I parked “Miss Vickie”, I walked to the clubhouse. I was surprised when I walked in. It was air-conditioned with many biker artifacts on the walls. It was a very comfortable place to spend time with friends. I dropped off a stack of The Carolinas’ Full Throttle magazines, and saw the women collecting the money for the dice run. All money collected went to support the Webb Street School - a public, separate school serving students grades Kindergarten through 12th grade, and beyond with cognitive impairments in Gaston County. I looked for “Red” – the president of the club. We had a few words of greeting, then he had to go to check all the stops of

the run to make sure that there was a Carolina Thunder club member to record the rolling of the dice. The first stop was Metrolina Motorsports in Kings Mountain, NC. The second stop was Joker PowerSports in Blacksburg, SC. The third stop was at Burnt Mill in SC. The fourth stop was Hwy 55 Country Store. The fifth stop was at 4-Lanes. The last stop was back at the Carolina Thunder clubhouse for hamburgers, 50/50 drawing, and door prizes. With every

registration, every participant was given a sheet with detailed directions on how to get to the stops. It’s a great way to go down roads you’ve never been on, and not get lost. After “Red” left, I stayed outside talking with some of the bikers. We talked about our memories of “Click”. I didn’t know him as well as many of the other bikers, but all were good memories. I even wore my old “Carolina Harley-Davidson” t-shirt for the occasion. “Click” gave it to me many years ago at one of his large parties. After a while, “Cuzz”, and other members of the Guardians of the Children club rode in. We talked for a while as we walked to the clubhouse so they could register. After 11am, people had been leaving to go on the run by ones, and twos. – not the single large group that some rides have. At about 11:30, I headed out to go back home. I stopped at Showmars in Shelby to pick up a to-go order to share with Cindy. After eating, I stayed home to work around the house the rest of the day. It was a great way to spend time visiting with friends.

AHDRA Returns To The Rock Story and photos by Alan Dockery es, it was
hot the firstweekend of August. But fans and racers were at Rockingham Dragway, NC, for the long awaited return of the All Harley Drag Racing Association and the delayed Nitro Spring Nationals. Originally planned for mid-May, folks were glad to see the race go down safely even if it was hot. This also marked the return of the All Harley Drag Racing Association to action. Now owned by Pulse Marketing and run by veteran drag racer Bill Rowe Jr. and family, AHDRA was a well-known sanction by Carolina Race Fans for many years. I saw former owner, Craig Tharpe, who ran the association from North Carolina back in the day,
at the starting line Sunday with a big smile. The camping crowd was down. I expect between that Bitch Rona wiping out folks’ budgets and the fear of big events, some folks didn’t come for the weekend. That left some open field for the kids riding dirt bikes and minibikes to have fun. I got photos of Craig’s boy, Gavin 12 years old, riding Dad’s Hardtail Sportster solo for the first time. Shade was available and campers were hanging out and having fun at the strip. It was cool and comfortable at night to visit. There was a good ride and drive in crowd of fans on Saturday who needed that fix of Harley Thunder and some nitromethane in the air. Several vendors with some cool event shirts and old bike parts were at The Rock. Saturday afternoon there was a bike show and sound contest in the pits. With no major issues on the strip during the day, qualifying was done before sundown. Racing at The Rock in MidSummer had my internal clock off a little since the sun is up longer. But it gives folks a little more light for hanging with old friends ain’t seen lately. And I made some new friends in front of the tower. Mitch Dibble told me a couple times Saturday that he was marrying Kim after qualifying. As the sun set down the famous Rockingham Dragway, two Top Fuel Harleys rolled into the Winner’s Circle. Mitch and his buddies gathered around. Then Kim arrived on a Harley chariot piloted by Paul Watson. A bunch of us witnessed the racetrack wedding. “Thanks to Bill Rowe and the Rock crew for helping us get married,” Mitch said. “Also a very special thanks to Dan Grinde and Rich Vreeland for bringing their beautiful bikes to be in the ceremony. Jim Doyle and Carl Mogilka Sr. thanks for standing up for me. And Rich Vreeland for performing the perfect ceremony. Thanks to Susan Jerrries Bartlett for standing

Eliminations and Winners Eight Top Fuel Harleys qualified for the AHDRA field at The Rock. Larry Stanley, Laurinburg, NC, sure has lots of years on those machines and we still cheer for him. Tyler Wilson, Walnut Cove, NC, and Jay Turner, Julian, NC, made the field. Tii Tharpe, East Bend, NC, is the two-time reigning National Hot Rod Association Top Fuel Harley champ, but his bike had serious mechanical issues and wasn’t going to race that weekend. Qualifying times and speeds were way down, but a few of the racers got it dialed in Sunday for eliminations. Jay “The Bulldog” Turner called on the experience he has from many years of Top Fuel Harley racing. The Bulldog won the International Hot Rod Association championship in 1999 and 2000, plus the NHRA Titles in 2015 and 2016. The Bulldog faced Ryan Perry, Milford, OH, in the final. Perry had been running better than anyone that weekend and laid down a quick 6.639 at 206.45 miles an hour, but the Bulldog beat him to the finish line by a paw running 6.614 at 201.10 mph. The AHDRA runs a couple classes where bikers can just have fun racing their street bikes or old race bikes. Vic Allen, Southern Pines, NC, won the Trophy Street Class one day. Jeremiah Cullen, Tyler Shearin, Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Justin Cook, Ocean Lake Beach, NC, also ran the class. They ran a couple Dial In ET Class races at The Rock with elimination rounds on Saturday and Sunday. Another class where you can come to the track with your bike and gear and race. The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine presents A Big Check and $200 Cash to the Number One Qualifier in the Eliminator Class. That is determined by the best reaction during Saturday qualifying. The Gathering 81 TEAM FAYETTEVILLE In 2020
By: Chi
Angels MC Fayetteville NC hosted the “Gathering” on Saturday, June 20, 2020. This ride was to benefit the Shriners Hospital for Children and to promote motorcycle awareness and unity. The day was a great success and so many clubs were present. Brothers and sisters from every club joined together as one! The day’s agenda was set to celebrate both unity and charity. This event happens each year and a charitable organization such as the Shriners Hospital for Children is selected to do great things with the proceeds of the ride. This was no different; there were motorcyclists both with and without masks; and all were there to support this worthy cause. Many clubs were represented. The Hells Angels MC, Fayetteville NC were very pleased with the partnership with Shriners Hospital for Children The Shriners’ ells
took such an active part as they did last year. The Shriners led the ride. This partnership seems to be a perfect match with a hopeful outlook towards continued success and grand gains for the future. The Shriners do some great things; for Cumberland County Shriner’s information you can visit their website at www.cumberlandcountyshrineclub.com The “Gathering” took place at Charlie Mike’s Pub. There was plenty of room for everyone to be outside and enjoy the fellowship. There were many selfies and pictures taken to commemorate the day’s events. Everyone ate and socialized at Charlie Mike’s before and after the ride. There was a friendly atmosphere to promote all the clubs present. There was a warm brotherly feeling there. No one was at odds with anyone,

a welcomed change from the current event news! Greetings and hugs were all around; everyone was smiling and laughing together. Unity and Charity were on the agenda and the order was filled to the brim. It was a great day for all; the Shriners, the bikers and the brotherhood! Motorcycle awareness is always an effort with each ride. The love of riding brings motorcyclists together each year. The joy of the “Gathering”, which supports all clubs, aims to acknowledge and support that we are all riders with a passion

for motorcycles; that passion of freedom, the open road, our spirit of community and last but certainly not least, Unity! Where we all ride together for the greater good! It’s always a great feeling to take part in a charity event and this one is certainly one of my favorites. It’s an honor to be a part of these events that benefit the community and celebrate the love of the ride. I look forward to The Hells Angels’ MC, Fayetteville NC, events and Christmas celebrations of charity that are upcoming. Ride safe! Chi Force

3rd Annual Screw Cancer Ride
By: Lincoln Infield
Willard started up the first ever pancreatic cancer benefit after losing his mom, Nancy Joyce Lane, to the disease in 2015. Being a rider, it was only natural to start a benefit ride to help. This year marked the 3rd Annual Ride that benefits the Nancy Joyce Lane Pancreatic Cancer Fund at Baptist Medical Center. The ride was set for July 25 out of Xtreme Wings N Things in Winston-Salem. The Poker Run registration began at 10:30am and included a raffle ticket. You could also grab up some 50/50 tickets to increase your chances of being a winner on the day. Scotty had official Screw Cancer apparel available. While you were at it you might as well buy some extra raffle tickets to take home some of the great donations from the ride sponsors. At noon the kickstands were up, and 44 bikes roared off to All Sauced Up BBQ in Mt. Airy to hang out and pull a poker hand card. The ride then proceeded to Kickers Bar & Grill in Mt. Airy who opened up just long enough to host the riders on this event. The last two stops were conveniently next door to each other, so the group parked at the Sportsman Lounge and walked to the after party at the Tilted Ladder in Pilot Mountain. Carla Merwin was the lucky winner of the poker run with 3 kings; she drew 2 of them at the last stop! Congrats Carla! On the day, the ride and merchandise sold raised around $2300. With all the stuff going on with 2020, it wasn’t as big of a turn out as it has been in the past, but after this year’s event the fund has brought in around $8,000. As soon as the fund reaches $50,000 it will become a fully registered founcotty
dation. If you didn’t make the ride this year or would like to make a donation, there is a way to donate online at the Wake Health web page. Here is a shortened website to type in, shorturl.at/mpQZ8 , or scan the QR code below with your phone. Either way, if you want to donate online please and make sure that you indicate that your gift is in Memory of Nancy Joyce Lane. Scotty said, “I want to thank everyone that came out and supported the SCREW CANCER RIDE yesterday. The weather was amazing! I truly enjoyed myself and all the love that was spread throughout the day. There really aren’t any words that I can say that would show my full gratitude, so thank you to each and every one of you!!” A big thanks to all the sponsors: Brew Beards, Sons of Confederate Veterans, Kritter Kutts, Benevolent Brotherhood, Go DJ Entertainment, Pinnacle Woodworks & Farm, Freedom Designs, Biker Trash Nation, and Xtreme Wings N Things. Plans are already being made for the 4th Annual Screw Cancer Benefit Ride. Make sure you keep an eye on the Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine Cruisin’ Calendar to stay up to date!

This year was the 11th Annual Kanawha Valley Bike Rally and was dedicated to the memory of Tommy Brown, the owner of Kanawha Valley Arena, who passed away late last year. Brooke, one of Tommy’s daughters, also an owner of KVA continued the tradition and threw one helluva party! As motorcyclists, we all know half the fun is the ride to the destination. The ride up to Dugspur, VA where the KVA is located is no exception to this unwritten rule. Riding up from Thomasville was great. I wanted
to get there fast and then take it slow, so I headed up 52 which doesn’t suck after you get out of Winston-Salem. I passed by the always beautiful Pilot Mountain, NC Hwy 52 gives you a great view for miles. I hit the GPS once I crossed the VA state line and hit the ‘avoid highways’ option. I rode on the Blue Ridge Parkway and several other interstate highways before I popped out on Kanawha Ride Rd. I came around a corner and the landscape opened up to reveal the Arena. It was a beautiful site. You ride in through a covered bridge over Burks Fork that had a few ladies in bikinis taking a leisurely float down the creek. There was tent and RV camping to the right and the 2 story, 12 room hotel on the right. Camping seems to be the best bet as I hear the hotel is booked way in advance! The main congregation area was in front of the Carriage House Saloon. Now with everything with the “pandemic,” the Carriage House and other attractions were not open, but business carried on out on the porches, with social distancing being advised. The bike show was going on in front of the Carriage House Saloon and it was a sweet group of bikes. Bobbers, big wheel baggers, and choppers all up for people’s choice voting, or one helluva cool photo op! Across from Carriage House was the Carriage House Saloon, also closed to entry, but with ice cold beer and a good-looking gal slingin’ it , so there was no loss of love there! It was a hot day, even in the mountains, but there was a big canopy set up outside the saloon with tables and tall boys set up for patrons to sit around and enjoy the constant stream of bikes rolling in and out, folks strolling the property and jacked up four wheelers that were a site as well! I grabbed an ice-cold drink and headed to the Arena that
www.

was currently hosting the bike games. The Arena is at least 100 yards long with bleachers on either side and the live music stage at the far end. John and Tina Luther of Wolf Mountain Biker Entertainment were running the bike/people games and are by far the best in the Carolinas. You can find them at most of the big-name rallies running the games in their neon green shirts. They also handled the bike show judging and awards. In between people and bike games they announced the winners. Bike Show winners were invited to ride down to the Arena so that spectators could get a gander at em! Paula Rose won the Cruiser Class with her 2011 Heritage Deluxe, Jamie Morris took the Custom Class with a killer 1981 Ironhead chopper, the Bagger Class was dominated by Jamie Harts 2001 Street Glide and Joseph Wilson’s 2011 Honda CBR 1100 took home the Metric Class trophy. Alan Ingram took hom the Best In Show honor with a 2016 Road Glide with more tricks that can be listed! Once the Bike Show Winners cleared out, it was time for some bike games. John got the crowd stirred up, called out the real bikers to come down and participate and started off with the slow race. They were having so much fun that even myself and another photographer, Adam Scott, put down our cameras to join the games. Zak Gibbons (featured in the May 2020 issue) even had his foot clutch shovelhead chopper in the games showing off his skills. The games moved along to the balloon toss and then to the Weenie Bite, which had some surprise participation, but it was one of those what happens in Kanawha (should) Stays in Kanawha items. But if you check out the pictures on our website, you’ll know what I mean! Brooke Bright took some time out of her busy day hosting this rally to win both the balloon toss and the weenie bite contests. If you are gonna put on a good show, you gotta know how to play the games! The bike games gave way to the wet t-shirt contest and just

as the 10 lovely participants took the stage it began to rain, giving a head start to the viewing process! No lie though, it was a hot day and that little rain shower didn’t hurt a thing! The crowd gathered to watch as the girls strutted their stuff and were cheered on for their efforts. It took 3 rounds of voting on the final contestants before Crystal took home the cash, trophy and bragging rights! Just as soon as the contest ended the live music resumed. The band line up for Saturday was fantastic with Dani Kerr opening up the stage, followed by Flat Black Cadillac and Whey Jennings (Waylon Jennings’ Grandson) bringing it all home in the evening. Dani Kerr even won the title of Ms. Kanawha Valley! The last of the scheduled activities for each night was the firing of the cannon. Yep, you read that right. Each night they fired off a Revolutionary War looking cannon in Memory of Tommy Brown. It was quite a sendoff for the evening. I strongly recommend checking out the Kanawha Valley Bike Rally when it rolls around next year. It is a great southern bike rally and you will enjoy it! Keep your eye on the Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine Cruisin’ Calendar for announcements of the 12th Annual Rally!

Ladies Ride And Bike Show
By: Maggie Infield n Saturday, July 25th Smokin Harley-Davidson held an All Ladies Ride And Bike Show event sponsored by The Tom McGrath Motorcycle Law Group. It was an absolute gorgeous day to be on your bike. The ladies hit the street for a nice scenic ride then returned to Smokin HarleyDavidson to enter their beauties into the bike show. The parking lot was full of vendors and folks enjoying being outside, all respectfully socially distancing, but still enjoying this great day. Some lucky ladies walked away with some great raffle prizes from The Tom McGrath Motorcycle Law Group, including gas cards and tickets to June Jam Bike Rally that had been rescheduled to August 22-23. All the bikes entered in the bike show made it tough on the judges as they were all great. Marianne Muncy placed third with her 2008 Harley-Davidson Deluxe and took home a $25 dollar Smokin Harley-Davidson gift card. Susan Kitner placed second with her 2020 Road King, she took home a $75 dollar Smokin Harley-Davidson gift card. Coming in first was Veronica Serna with her beautiful 2006 Harley-Davidson Deluxe, she took home $150 in cold hard cash! At the end of the day, this was a very much needed day of sunshine, motorcycles and friends. Thanks to Ray and the crew at Smokin Harley-Davidson for putting on a great event for the ladies. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more great things to come!

Hope What kind of hope do we hope to find in this world? My hope is to be the kind of mom and friend that I’m supposed to be. My hope is for living for God and doing the best I can to make Him proud of me. I fail daily, but I have a God that I can call on and He’ll help me any time day or night. Psalms 42:1: As a deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for you, O God. My soul knew I needed God. We don’t get it by just going to church. The more we hunger (for God) the better we can minister to others. Psalms 42:2: My soul thirsts for God, for the living God, when shall I come and appear before God? Our friends and religious people down us and ask where is your God, especially when things go wrong. As we look at things now, it looks like the evil is winning, but we need to get our focus back on God. Psalms 42:3-4 (3) My tears have been my food day and night. While they continually say to me, Where is your God? (4) When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me, For I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God. With the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast. My hope is still in God. He is who He says He is and does what He says. You should praise Him at all times even if you don’t feel like it. Don’t say you hope, you should have your hope in the Lord. Your hope is in God and nothing else. If you have questions read the Bible. God is still on the throne. Christians are getting
discouraged instead of spending time with God and believing in Him. Christians and non-Christians; God is putting us to a test. People are doing their own things, because not enough ministering going on. Ecclesiastes 9:4: But for him who is joined to all the living there is hope for a living dog is better than a dead lion. Dogs at this time were the lowest of animals, they were not pets. People pray for others to be healed but they don’t believe in healing for themselves. The living still have hope, but the (dead lion) can’t do anything because memories are lost. But we can have hope (in the truth of God) to show us the way. God will still be there; memories are still memories. Ecclesiastes 8:6: Also their love, their hatred, and envy have now perished; Nevermore will they have a share in anything done under the sun. Hope shows up at your darkest moment. In the darkest hour God is still there. Romans 5:1: Therefore having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Your hope is in your relationship with God. You may quit and forget about God, but He hadn’t forgot about you. Romans 15:13: Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Everybody Has One
Road Grass Bites Ass Grass Clippings VS Motorcyclists Well, folks, here we are again, caught where the wool is short. Today’s subject is slightly slippery, with a side of minced salami straight off the seat-of-shame; the fanny! Any ole experienced rider knows of that one dark-force agent of the winter—BLACK ICE; heck, every motorized vehicle operator knows about that stuff… We know, and that’s why today we are here to consider and examine his atrocious fifth cousin— (bumbumbum) GREEN ICE. That’s right - grass clippings scattered on the blacktop, as it were. As per usual, this spring and summer season, we have spent many hours on the roadways (especially those of the “back” sort), and we have noticed, perhaps due to stimulated consciousness being out in Nature and all, a particular spike in “road grass” offences. (We also, especially throughout the “Covid” situation, have witnessed a particular spike in entry-level riding; people are getting their social distancing on FORREAL by way of two wheels; and we love it). However, we don’t love the fact that when you mix the two up, beginner/ inexperienced riders and a sudden patch of blind road grass, you wind up in a pinch, pucker, or, (if you are really into seeking sudden series of unfortunate events), you crash out and “till the dirt” with your goose-berry grinder (and that pun was most certainly intended)!
It’s easy to get to thinking about them there folk, the ones that sling that greasy green lube (imagine dew-wet grass; blind curve; country no lane; sparkling green ice) all in the roads; it’s simple to think, ‘why that fella there must not know whether to scratch his watch or wind his butt’ or that ‘maybe they’re about as sharp as mashed potatoes’, or maybe that ‘they couldn’t catch their breath what if it didn’t come natural’, or possibly that ‘they must be just as crooked as a hound’s leg and twice’t as dirty’, or maybe even ‘so danged worthless that the TIDE wouldn’t even take them out’; but regardless of our emotional reflexes, we, as riders, must understand one thing out the gate: SOME FOLKS JUST DON’T KNOW (and also, every garden has its weeds…). So, in all honesty, is it even worth the spit it’d take to cuss ‘em out? Let’s get down to the green of things…. Grass=ass=Ive had fun before, and this sure ain’t it. That rider is liable to get up madder than an ole grizzly bear with a sore arse! (And believe us, his arse will be sore, if it’s able to get up at all). Does grass (of the road-scattered sort, of course) offend us? Why, does a cat have climbing gear? Hell yes!! This hazardous waste, slicker than that scandalous banana peel, ‘green ice’ infringes upon us and our freedoms. Come on slick, it ain’t very becoming and thrice as rude, especially if you take in the wastefulness of gobstoppin the roadways with clippings
Everybody Has One instead of putting them to good use elsewhere. Best to learn the little rhyme “A bit of hasty waste might turn a good bum to paste…” if you’re not into bums of the pasty variety. Grass clippings and other lawn debris are a major safety threat to motorcyclists with a potentially deadly effect; conversely, when salvaged and utilized, that grass can be badass.
The Facts Are: • Grass clippings, when spread across a roadway, create a mighty slippery surface (“green ice”, it has been dubbed), especially if wet in the least (mornin’ dew, recent rain, sprinklertreated, etc). • In many a municipality it is downright illegal to sling grass *in the roadways (and we two-wheelers thought we were the rebels!) • Grass has 85%%water content which is where its slippery nature hails from (and even when it is dry, it’s still slippery) the loss of traction is therefore compounded. • It’s already bad enough that we have to contend with ole Mother Nature in the fall, when our gorgeous forests unblouse themselves of their leafy coverage (those orange and red blazes are pleasant on the peepers, but can play hell on your two-wheeled machine’s rubbers). We can’t change the ol’ diehard habits of the trees, now can we? • *********It is easy for motorcyclists, notably in the spring and summer riding months, to become somewhat complacent; sort of dormant in their caution and awareness. • Grass clippings in the roadway, even when they are anticipated by a skilled rider, are still dangerous. They can cause the rider to have to make a serious safety maneuver in order to avoid it. It can cause reactions in any rider such as fast speed reduction, sudden lane changes, or double yellow crossings (among many others - all of which may be considered “high risk/hazard” for the motorcyclist and want to be avoided like the covid.) • A lil’ extra fun fact: (especially for all you fishermen(women) out there— yard clippings are also anti-environmentally friendly for our waterways. This is because they consist of mostly water and nitrogen; a mass accumulation of grass clipping. in local waterways can alter pH and O2 levels as well as lead to algae blooms (which may kill off aquatic life as well as damage aesthetic pleasures). Some positive sunshine & rainbows requested? • Grass clippings are actually beneficial to your lawn despite being a bushel o’ bad for the waters and roadways. The nitrogen that is such a devilish dickens to the H20 and asphalt actually becomes a great fertilizing source for lawns in addition to other inherent compounds found in decomposing grass. They can also be great in your garden compost (in appropriate doses, of course) and grand in areas that need a sprinkle of mulch. Easy enough. • Regardless of the argument as to whether the rider ought to have enough skill to avoid road grass accidents or if the mower needs to turn it’s gr’ass around, the fact remains: the

‘’green ice’. and its debris henchmen can cause some serious two-wheel carnage...and not the laying rubber, burning fuel, good time having kind of carnage neither. If the strip of yard’s big enough, why that green slick sometimes looks as if its hell bound and determined to cause a month’s worth’a buryin. If a rider does happen to come out of a “green ice” curve, you bet your sweet biscuits they’ll feel so blessed they could step right square in manure and come out smelling like a rose! Yes, there will be quite a few “skilled riders” who’ll take offense to this article, claiming “it is all in the skill level”; however, that is quite the “umbrella statement”, as everything is situational. The facts do remain, that it is upon us, the riders, to step up and make the common folk aware of the damages that can be procured by slinging that slime out into the roads that save so many souls by way of two-wheeled freedom. Again, clipping to the inside can be beneficial, not only for the two-wheeled travelers, but to your yard itself! It’s the perfect time to do a 180. As for the scattered grass blades, we’re just saying, if you got a rooster, he’s goin to crow. It’s the perfect time to “turn it around” Road Grass Bites Ass— will YOU join the movement? --Two Concerned Enthusiasts Whatchu Got To Say? Shoot us a line. EveryBodyHasOne@FTCarolinas.com

Jeff Schmid Opens Springers
By: Rose and Lloyd n January, Jeff Schmid started working on opening a new bar “Springers” at 405 Rocky Knoll Road, in Greensboro, NC. Getting licenses and permits stalled as COVID 19 began to halt the country, but Jeff kept at it. He was finally able to open the door April 16th. When I went to talk to him about an ad for The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine, I thought he looked familiar. Little did I know I was working with an icon. Jeff has spent 20 years working on large and small benefits, 20 years with the Elks Lodge in Greensboro, and a member of The Patriot Guards. Now he will be doing work for charities from his own bar. Giving back to the community. The bar has already got a huge following. Jeff says he could never do it without his great staff; Courtney Johnson, Maggie
Honeycutt, Rose Draeger, Sabrina DiFoggio, Joe Davis, Crystal Percell, and Josh Stone. He doesn’t underestimate the help and support of all his family and riders from the biker community. Check out his FB page for events, and of course The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine. I think we will all hear and see a lot out of Springers and Jeff in the biker community.

The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine 22nd Anniversary Bike Night By: Lincoln Infield lot of things have
changed in the world since August of 1998, when we published the first issue of Full Throttle Magazine in the Carolinas. Hell, I guess damn near everything has changed since then! One thing that I can say that has remained the same is the Full Throttle crew’s ability to have a good time and on August 11nd we proved it! The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine HQ is located in a shopping center in Jamestown, NC with plenty of parking and most of our neighbors close up early in the evening, leaving us the ability to take over the lot. just as We began to set up our vending tents and icing down the beer coolers the bottom dropped out and unleashed a typical August thunderstorm. As we all know, monsoon weather does not tempt folks to go riding. As the vendors stood under their respective tents with their fingers crossed for the rain to pass quickly (or was that just me?) others took the glass half full approach. Shannon Rights of the McGrath Motorcycle Law Group kicked off her shoes and had a stroll through the parking lot river. A few riders rolled in mid typhoon, including our triad area reps, Rose and Lloyd. Two Chrome Angelz rolled in as well one of which is 6 months pregnant, at this point, I stopped taking excuses for absences for the evening! The good news is the rain subsided before official kick off time and vendor set up continued. We had 8 stellar vendors set up for the evening. Shannon & Dexter Rights along with Tyler and Bailey Styles were representing The McGrath Motorcycle Law Firm – The Firm
That Rides. Huge thanks to them as they sponsored the soft drinks and hot dogs that evening! They rolled nearly 150 hot dogs on the grill and passed them off to the Chrome Angelz RC (set up next to the McGrath tent) who served em up for us! Shannon was registering folks for McGraths Moto Excursion Giveaway and raffling off tickets to the June Jam (rescheduled to August!) every hour! The Chrome Angelz were a huge help and brought in around 10 ladies who weren’t scared of a little cloud sweat. We also had Paul Watson of Lumbee Racing and Brannon White of Mad Monkey Motorsports set up with 2 drag bikes and “little Nasty” the V-Twin powered barstool racer! Paul and Brannon were hanging out and talking up the upcoming (August 22-23) All Harley World Shootout at the 710 Dragstrip. My friend Patrice was set up with some good smelling

As hosts we were obliged to keep our friends hydrated with adult beverages, on the house of course. We started off the night with 7 cases of various domestics but had to make a few beer runs to keep up with the demand. Let’s just say the Dollar General made some coin off of us that night! The final tally says we drained 18 cases beer in the 2.5 hour span of time! We were having a large time when we realized it was 8pm and it was time to select the best bike on the lot. Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine Editor & HMFWHIC Mark Infield and I perused the lot in search of something that stood out from the rest. Although there were a ton of sweet rides
candles. Vicky Crib had a booth with awesome biker jewelry for the ladies to check out. Ray Spencer of Universal Custom Pinstriping was set up with some of his awesome art pieces. He dropped some sweet pinstripes on the Full Throttle ServiCar last year, but with the threat of rain, didn’t bring his paint to this year’s shindig. The Featured Bike Shop of the night was Pandemonium Performance Custom Cycles from Lexington, NC. Kary and his crew brought out 2 of their “Down & Dirty Racing” Drag Bikes, some Pandemonium Merchandise and were ready to have a great time. Ink Lab Tattoo from Kernersville, NC was on site as well. Lucas was talking tattoos and had a mini craps table set up allowing you a chance to win $25 gift cards! We also had the lovely Tracey Carver, who was our July issue #264, Women Who Ride feature on site signing autographs. I know I got a signed copy of her on her custom ’82 Gold Wing to hang up in the office! There were a ton of familiar faces that showed up to help us celebrate and it was awesome to see the lot FULL of motorcycles by 6:30pm. We had a 1000w speaker set up with a Bike Night mix of tunes rolling all night other than breaks in the evening to make announcements. Bob Seager, Tom Petty, GNR, AC/DC, Zeppelin, Skynyrd and other solid rock bands were tryin to drown out the sound of bikes coming and going.
still there, Dexter Jackson’s 1970 Honda CB 750 Chopper took home the top honors and a crispy $50 bill. Dexter’s chopper was a family heirloom that his dad built in 1981 and got passed down. It was everything you want to see in a CB chopper. Chico Frame, raked out girder front end and black paint job. Congrats Dexter, and thanks for bringing out that sweet ride. Continues On Page #36
36
The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine Continues From Page #35 The night was getting on, but we still had some fun to be had. We had a beautiful chocolate sheet cake that was decorated with our 22nd Anniversary logo waiting in our office lobby. I made the announcement and a line formed! Man, that cake was good! Thanks to our good friend Veronica Serna for stepping in and carving up that bad boy! This year we even had some solid forks to use! As we approached 9pm it was time it was time to wrap the evening up with some Taiwanese Sky Candy. I handed over the DJ stand to The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine CFO, Molly Infield so she could switch the tunes over to Jimi Hendrix’s Star Spangle Banner from Woodstock while Lucas and I lit up the sky! It was a great way to end a fun night. Thanks to everyone who came out to party with us, to our vendors who waited out the rain, and to all of our fans, advertisers, readers and family who have stuck with us through the past 22 years! We’ve recorded the history of motorcycling in the Carolinas for 265 consecutive months, and don’t plan on stopping, ever. See ya out there!

#ConnieStrong Poker Run
By: Wally Wersching was looking for something to do
on Saturday, July 18th, when I looked at the Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine Facebook page, and learned that a couple of the local biker clubs were holding a charity run to help Connie Carter – a young lady who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. The initial meeting place was the Whiskey Mill in Bessemer City with registration at 11 am with Kick Stands Up at noon.Stops included Fat Daddy’s Baggers in Cherryville, Johnny’s Mexican Bar and Grill in Lincolnton, the Maniax MC Clubhouse with the final stop at the Ironhorse Rebels Clubhouse in Vale, NC for food, 50/50, and door prize drawings. I had been
involved with the Ironhorse Rebels earlier in the year for a charity run for BJ Truesdale. They were a very dedicated group of bikers. I arrived at the Whiskey Mill a little before 11am, and placed a stack of the Carolinas’ Full Throttle magazines on the registration table. After talking with the two young ladies, I gave them a donation because I wasn’t going on the run. I sat on the porch watching as the many bikers rode in. It was one of those hot and humid summer days with temps in the mid 90’s. Luckily there was a slight breeze blowing which cooled things off a bit. I felt sorry for the club members with their colors on leather vests. They were cooking.
www.
FullThrottleMagazine.com
I talked with a few of the Ironhorse rebels. We laughed about the last time I was with them in January. It was very cold, and they had to ride through freezing rain on the way home. We would have welcomed a little of that cold weather for the day’s run. At about 12:15, they got together for a prayer before leaving on the run. Then they were off with a roar. I took pictures from across the street as they left. After they all left, I headed home. I always feel good when I can spend time with friends helping someone in need. After I got home, I was looking for more information about Connie when I found Kate – one of her friends. She rode on the run, and had an interesting encounter on the way home. On the way home after eating at the Iron Horse Clubhouse, she got caught in one of those torrential downpours. She pulled her bike under a large tree in a church parking lot to wait it out when a lady pulled up in her car, and invited Kate to park the bike in her car port across the street. The lady, Betty, invited Kate into her home to dry off, and have a piece of fresh baked cherry pie. Betty told Kate when she looked across the street and saw the motorcycle she couldn’t tell if Kate was a man or a woman, or if she was pink or purple. She didn’t care, she just needed to help. It would be great if there were more people like Betty in the world.

Xtreme Wings N Things Pre-Boone Rally By: Lincoln Infield ot summer days make for
great biker parties, and it was hotter than two hells on July 25th for the Xtreme Wings N Things Pre-Boone Party. Brandee and Chad had the parking lot blocked off for vendors, the bike show, and live music, leaving the street for bike parking. It’s always a good site to roll up to see bikes lining the streets shining in the hot sun and that’s exactly what we got! The bar inside had the AC pumping but was adhering to the occupancy restrictions so Chad put out a mobile bar to make sure everyone stayed hydrated and refreshed in the summer sun. When my wife, Maggie, and I got there the Cowboy Outlaws were on the outside stage cranking out the tunes. These guys know their stuff and put on a good show. It was only noon, but the parking lot party was already jumping. Everyone is used to Xtreme Wings parties being on point. There was a huge tent in the parking lot with Biker Gear & More set up and they were true to their name. The rest of the lot was reserved for the Ride In Bike Show.
The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine partnered with Xtreme Wings and Wolf Mountain Biker Entertainment for the Ride In Bike Show. Registration started at 1pm and shortly thereafter, there were over a dozen showstoppers parked and ready for voting. John Luther of Wolf Mountain Biker Entertainment was running the sound board for the live music, Emceeing the event and had bike show voting running full steam. The voting system was easy, buy a beer, get a white ticket to use as your vote. You can vote as many times as you want, just
The Cowboy Outlaws go buy another beer! As mentioned before, it was a hot day on the asphalt, so Maggie and I popped inside to cool down and have a bite. We grabbed a booth and ordered up some wings. Xtreme has a good-looking menu, but I have never got past the wings, they are Xtremely good! I get the habanero pineapple sauce every time. That’s the way I get mine and I recommend you do the same! Even with the big event going on, the food and drink

Chad Getting His Birthday Curls In orders were coming out of the kitchen in a timely manner and our favorite waitress “Tater” was on point, as always. There were also some cool vendors set up inside that were worth checking out. The Cowboy Outlaws finished their set and Guitar Dave & Steve Pegg were setting up, so it was perfect time to count the bike show votes and award the winners. Now, this is a tense time on the lot and all the anxious bike owners are pacing back and forth while the judges count and recount the votes. This is one of those days that I was glad that we didn’t have to pick the winner ourselves. Let me tell you, there was some serious competition out there. there were some partying folks out there that day. The votes ranged from the 20’s to damn near 100 votes for the winning bike. And the Winner is…Danny Varner! Danny rode up on an absolutely beautiful 2002 HD Softail dripping with chrome and a beautiful two-tone cream paint job. Top prize for the day was a feature in The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine and I can’t wait to get a break in the rain long enough to shoot this bike! Congrats Danny! This party was a dual-purpose party, one celebrating the upcoming Boone Bike Rally, that, unfortunately, had to be canceled and the other was to celebrate Xtreme Wings owner, Chad Torok’s, birthday. I did get a chance to wish him a happy birthday, but as you can imagine, he had his work cut out for

Always a Party In The Parking Lot! him that day with such a healthy crowd on hand. He assured me that at some point in the evening he was going to “clock out” and begin celebrating! Chad is a good dude and works hard, along with Brandee, to provide good times every single week. Hope you got a few minutes to enjoy yourself old man! The party was in no way over and the second shift of riders came rolling in the evening to rock out with a local favorite SmasHat. We had had our fill and needed to get out and do a little riding to cool down and take advantage of the great roads the triad has to offer. It was definitely a day for the memory book and I’m sure it won’t be the last time we check off an epic party hanging out over at Extreme Wings N Things. Big thanks to Chad and Brandee for putting on a heck of a party, to John and Tina Luther of Wolf Mountain Biker Entertainment for running the bike show and emcee services and to everyone who put their bikes in the bike show. Keep your eye on the Extreme Wings N Things ad and the Carolinas ‘Full Throttle Magazine Cruisin’ Calendar for their upcoming events, you don’t want to miss out on all the fun!

Sgt. Dillon’s Ride By: Gary Steelman n honor of the memory of
Sgt. Dillon C. Baldridge, a ride was held on his birthday on July 18 starting at Crossroads Harley-Davidson of Wilkesboro, North Carolina. This was an escorted ride through the countryside and the Blue Ridge Mountains to Dillon’s gravesite for a wreath laying ceremony. Friends and family and over a hundred bikes were present to wish Dillon a happy birthday and to help fulfill the promise made to the family that Dillon’s sacrifice and his life would not be forgotten. Patriot Guard riders, members of Rolling Thunder, and the Christian Motorcyclists Association were there in force to assure the family that promise had not been neglected. Dillon, at just 22 years old, was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, Combat Infantryman Badge and the Army Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster. His prior awards and decorations include the Army
Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal with three oak clusters, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Medal, Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, the NATO Medal, and the Expert Infantryman Badge. Dillon’s life was taken on 6/10/17 while serving in Peka Valley, Nanghar Province, Afghanistan while supporting Operation Freedom’s Sentinel alongside Sgt. Eric M. Houck and Sgt. William M. Bays whose lives were also taken by the Taliban on June 10, 2017. The ride was spectacular, over 100 bikes and seven or eight chase vehicles and Freightliner’s Ride of Pride, toured the mountainous highways through Wilkesboro, Sparta, West Jefferson, and Deep Gap to Ashelawn Memorial Gardens and back to Crossroads Harley-Davidson in Wilkesboro. Of course, everyone rode over the newly constructed bridge bearing Dillon’s name.

The ride concluded with drinks and food provided at Crossroads Harley-Davidson. Many door prizes were handed out and the 50/50 prize monies were donated back to the ride, which benefited T.A.P.S. (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors). The costs of the ride, food and drinks and entertainment, were paid by Dillon’s selfless sacrifice. There was nearly $2500 donated to the cause. Thanks, must go out to Benny Hayslett of the Patriot Guard Riders for his skill and dedication in organizing and putting this ride together. Condolences also go to the family, Tina Palmer (mother) and Christopher Baldridge (father), may your sacrifice be unforgotten as well, as the nation honors you and your son. Thank you.

Memorial For Ralph Porfilio 7-19-20 By: Sherry Holland AKA Pinecone Photos By: Katie Davis, Enola Murray t was around 40 motorcycles with over 50 people who met at Springers then rode to Colonial Family Home and Chapel in Madison, NC. He served in the Navy. Honored by all in Martial Arts Do Jo’s. He had 15 nieces and nephews. Nieces, nephews and a cousin were all sorry they couldn’t attend. Then there was his biker family. His close OWB brothers and a few sisters sat behind his martial arts family on the left. His family and friends sat to the right. It was a great service with tears and laughter from family and all who loved him. After the service, everyone went back to Springer’s enjoyed food and drinks. Drinks were covered from 4:00 on, from his best friend Wild Bill Sharp. We will love and miss this wonderful person that touched so many lives. It was a hoot. They played the
Navy song on the pa system with a trumpet. With the American flag carried by two young women and then displayed in the front of the church. Worst trumpet playing ever. Me and Bill Sharp laughed the loudest. He said Ralph would have loved it. The minister said Ralph had his fingers in the holes and was responsible for the awful trumpet playing. It was priceless. The whole place was in a roar with laughter. It was a really old recording. It had the firing and popping of the guns at the end.
Ralph Porfilio-the way we remember him.

The Honda CB750 engine, girder front end and amen savior frame have really been iconic symbols of the custom chopper scene since the 70’s. This chopper had made itself at home in my uncle’s garage. He had put it on the back burner for years. Like most of us gearheads who have several two wheeled toys, you pick and choose which one to tinker with and which ones collect a little dust. He had a pile of Hondas he sold me so he could make some room in his man cave and this one was the one Kristin and I were most stoked about! It had a cool coffin tank, king and queen seat and original chrome so we immediately started coming up with an idea of how we wanted it to look and we both agreed, straight from the 70s! We reached out to our friend Cody Rountree to lay down some sexy candy and flake on the tanks, and he did not disappoint!! There was many a nights cleaning and polishing that old chrome and we brought most of it back to life, and sent the rest to get re-plated. It sure was rewarding to see those invader wheels

start to sparkle after hours of elbow grease. Then we had to put our own custom spin on it and came up with a sweet sissy bar idea and decided on all the pieces we wanted chromed. A while back we won a prize pack of powder coating colors from MIT and decided on candy raspberry for the frame and some other custom pieces we added on. Huge shout out to Aegis for always killing the powder coating for us! And man those psychedelic colors came out better than we imagined! We really wanted to some unique lights on this baby too so we set out hunting for a pawn light and some different looking headlights and came across a set of 1964 Pontiac Grand Prix fog lights that were to badass to pass up! Every time we found a pawn light someone would beat us to buying it so like we always do, we thought “how could we make one ourselves?” We did some searching and found a company that makes rad replacement lenses for them, and a few candle snuffers, tubing, wiring, and a bulb later...we had our own pawn light! It’s definitely rewarding to add some custom touches that you built yourself. We ran into a few hard to find parts here and there like the spring keepers for the frame, those things are like searching for unicorns! Huge thanks to our good friend Rob at Lloyd’s Fabrication Solutions for making us a set! All in all this was another fun build in the books for The Rebel Spirit and we are grateful for all those who had the old parts we needed and those who helped us bring it back to life! -Zach, The Rebel Spirt MFCEO

The song leader stood very cautiously and announced with a smile, nearly laughing. “ For our closing song, let us sing hymn # 365, “ Shall We Gather At The River.” A woman walked into the kitchen to find her husband stalking around with a fly swatter. “What are you doing?” she asked. “Hunting Flies” he responded. “Oh! Killing any?” she asked. “Yep, 3 males, 2 females,” he replied. Intrigued, she asked. “How can you tell them apart?” He responded, “3 were on a beer can, 2 were on the phone.”

Thank Heaven for church ladies with computers with Microsoft Word. The following sentences actually appeared in church bulletins or were announced in church services: 1.The Fasting and Prayer Conference includes meals. 2. Ladies, don’t forget the rummage sale. It’s a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Bring your husbands. One Sunday, in counting the money in the weekly offering, the pastor of the Granville Presbyterian church found a pink envelope containing $1,000. It happened again the next week. The following Sunday, he watched as the offering was collected and saw a little old lady put the distinctive pink envelope in the plate. This went on for weeks until the pastor, overcome by curiosity, approached her. “Ma’am, I couldn’t help but notice that you put $1,000 a week in the collection plate,” he stated. “Why yes,” she replied, “every week my son sends me money, and I give some of it to the church.” The pastor asked, “That’s wonderful, how much does he send you?” The old lady replied, “$10,000 a week.” The pastor was amazed. “Your son is very successful! What does he do for a living?” “He is a veterinarian,” she answered. “That is an honorable profession,” the pastor said. “Where does he practice?” The little old lady said proudly, “In Nevada. He has two cat houses in Las Vegas and one in Reno.” After becoming very frustrated with the attitude of one of the shopkeepers, the young blonde declared, “Well, then, maybe I’ll just go out and catch my own alligator and get a pair of alligator shoes for free!” The shopkeeper replied with a sly smile, “Well, little lady, why don’t you go on and give it a try?” The blonde headed off to the swamp, determined to catch an alligator. Later in the day, as the shopkeeper was driving home, he spotted the same young woman standing waist deep in the murky water, shotgun in hand. As he brought his car to a stop, he saw a huge 9-foot gator swimming rapidly toward her. With lightning reflexes, the blonde
A Polish immigrant went to the DMV to apply for a driver’s license. First, of course, he had to take an eye test. The optician showed him a card. On the card were the letters “C Z W I X N O S T A C Z”. “Can you read this?” the optician asked. “Read it?” the Polish man replied, “I know the guy.”
A man with hearing problems crashed his car into an expensive car. The owner of the expensive car walks out of his house and says, “give me $10,000 dollars or I’ll beat the hell out of you!!” The man replies “Woah, woah, buddy I don’t have that much, but let me call my son he trains dolphins”. The man calls his son and right as he was about to talk, the owner of the expensive car yanks the phone out of his hand and says “So you train dolphins? Well bring me $10,000 dollars or I’ll beat your dad!” The son answers “Okay give me 15 minutes and I’ll be there.” 15 minutes later the son pulls up with a jeep and out comes 10 men who start beating the owner of the expensive car. Meanwhile the son walks over to his father and says, “Dad I train Seals, not dolphins.” A man went to the hospital to visit his mother-in-law, who was in serious condition. On the way back the wife, very worried, asks: “So, honey? How’s my mom doing?” He replies: “She looks great! She is in good health! She will still live for many years! Next week she will be released from the hospital and will come and live with us, forever!” “Wow that’s amazing!” says the wife, “But this is very strange, dear... yesterday she seemed to be on her deathbed, the doctors said she would have only a few days to live!” “Well, I don’t know how she was yesterday,” he replied, “But today when I arrived at the hospital, the doctor told me that we should prepare for the worst” A minister was completing a temperance sermon at a local biker church, and said, “If I had all the beer in the world, I’d take it and pour it into the river and if I had all the wine in the world, I’d take it and pour it into the river.” And finally, shaking his fist in the
A man’s wife was heavily pregnant and had started to get a lot of weird food cravings. One afternoon she said to her husband “I’m really kinda hungry and would love some escargot. Can you run down to the deli and pick up some snails for me” The man dutifully agrees and walks down to the deli and gets a box of snails. On the way back home he passed his local bar. “I’ll just stop in for a quick beer...she can wait a little bit” He walks in and sees a few of his friends and sure enough one beer leads to many. After a few beers he thinks “oh $h!t, my wife, the snails”! And bolts out of the pub to get home. As he’s running up his front stairs he trips and the box of snails goes everywhere. Just then his angry wife opens the door and is staring. Thinking quickly he says “that’s it guys not far now, we are almost home” Two guys are walking down the road with their dogs, one guy has a Doberman and the other has a Chihuahua, when they come across a restaurant, they want to go in but there’s a sign on the door that says, “no pets allowed - service dogs only”. The guy with the Doberman says, “don’t worry I got this.” He proceeds to put on a dark pair of sunglasses and walks inside. The manager comes up to him and says, “sir, you can’t have your dog in here.” The man replies, you don’t understand, this is my seeing guide dog.” Skeptical, the manager asks, “your guide dog is a Doberman?” The man replies, “you see, a Doberman helps protect me against burglars.” The manager lets him through. The Chihuahua guy sees this and puts on a pair of dark sunglasses and walks inside. The manager approaches him and says, “sir, you can’t bring your dog in here.” The man replies, “you don’t understand, this is my seeing guide dog.” The manager, ever so skeptical, asks, “Your guide dog is a Chihuahua?” The man, quick to think, says, “A Chihuahua? They gave me a Chihuahua?!?”
