Letter from the Founder and CEO This year has been unprecedented and full of disbelief and tragedy. Although we all were impacted in some way—whether setback, loss, or hardship—2020 allowed each individual to self-reflect and appreciate the gift of life. God continues to provide and watch over us. As we accept our new normal and impart positive light to those around us, I am hoping that the launch of The Heat Seekers Magazine will help to bring positive vibes to everyone. As the Founder and CEO of this publication, I want 2021 to be a year of reflection and positivity. As you read each article on how each artist has made it through the trials of 2020, congratulate and appreciate their willingness to overcome. I will call 2021 our “new beginning.” As we begin the process of healing, restoring, and evaluating all around us, let’s remember to still celebrate one another. Without God, this magazine would not be possible. Without hope, I would have stopped midway in the year. Without courage, I would have dropped everything and settled for second-best. Instead, I decided to use my gift of spreading joy and love and compress it into colorful pages and images of individuals that I honor and adore. Thanks for joining me on this new journey of journalism; I wish you peace, happiness, joy, and prosperity for 2021. Remember: “Quitters never overcome, and overcomes never quit!” Blessings to all of you!

R&B/Soul Singer Interview by David R. Navarro
David R. Navarro: Tell us a little bit about yourself? Britney Jane: My name is Britney Jane. I’m a singer/songwriter who is originally from Virginia and I embarked on my journey to Colorado in October of 2014 and I’ve been in Denver ever since. I started out as a background singer and I’m slowly working my way into stepping into my own lane as an R&B/Soul singer. DN: How long have you been writing music? BJ: I’ve been writing for a while now, I started writing professionally to build out my music career six years ago. DN: What made you decide to be serious about music? BJ: Music has been something that I have always loved. From the time that I was a child up until being an adult, I knew I wanted to be a singer. Of course throughout my life I had a lot of distractions and I got to a place where the idea of ever pursuing music seemed like an idea that would never become my reality. It wasn’t until I got out of an extremely toxic relationship that I decided that I wanted to truly pursue what I had always loved and I was not going to allow anything to hold me back. At the time I had no direction as to how to even pursue my music or anything but I had to step out of my comfort zone and just network with local musicians. DN: Tell us about your latest single. BJ: My latest single ‘What if” is my favorite. I originally wrote the song playing my guitar and I felt like everyone could relate to it. We all have had that person in our life that we have wanted more with, but due to paths not connecting, it doesn’t work out, and you’re left wondering what if we had of been real with each other about how we truly felt or put in the time and made the sacrifices to have a relationship instead of playing these stupid games. DN: Which people or books have had the most influence on your music career and why? BJ: Should be an easy question to answer but I feel like I have multiple influences. Down to my parents and the music they raised me on to watching Whitney Houston on TV performing. Also, I would say my manager Mawule has had an influence on me as well. He knows so much about the music industry and it inspires me to learn more and soak up his knowledge. DN: What would you say is the #1 key to success in the music industry? BJ: I would say remembering that though you’re an artist, you need
6
THE HEAT SEEKERS MAGAZINE
Photo by Erin Dvorak to treat yourself as a business. A business can’t run if you don’t have all your products together! DN: Can you give us some examples of things you are doing or have done to expand your fanbase? BJ: I mean nowadays social media is really where it’s at. It has been such an adjustment for me but I understand the importance of posting. People want to know who you are, what you’re about, and what you do. So for me, I have to post on a regular basis. I share more things about myself aside from just my music. And I did have to jump on the TikTok train and I try to show more of who I am on there as well. DN: Talk about the biggest failure you’ve had. What did you learn from it? BJ: I would say one of my biggest failures has been living my life according to how others want it. For a long time I felt like I could never make my own decisions. I would have an idea or interest in something that I would want to do, but I would never do it because of the negative mindset that I had, and I let opinions of others block my blessings. I believe the biggest thing I learned is that I have my own life, and I can only live for myself. Not everyone will be supportive of what I do, but me being supportive of myself can get me to where I need to be mentally.
DN: What advice can you give other individuals who want to follow in your footsteps? BJ: I would say to take the advice but then put something in motion. Too many times we get advice and that’s all that it is. We do nothing with it! So that idea of wanting to sing, act, build a business, or etc just sits in your head while time passes by. Also, that negative thought in your head or those people who aren’t supportive don’t even matter. If you want to pursue something that makes you happy, DO IT! DN: What does a typical day in your week look like? BJ: Well right now I do still work a 9-5 so that takes up most of my day. However, after work I put time to work on music. So if it’s working on a beat, writing to a new song, or recording material to post for the week, I spend that time daily to do that. DN: What keeps you going when things get tough in the business? BJ: Honestly, my mom and family. I lost my dad when I was 19 year old and I never got to take care of him or give back to him for all of the sacrifices he made. Thankfully, I still have my beautiful mother and an amazing Stepdad and I don’t want to get to a place where it’s a repeat of not being able to give to them. So when those times come I remember first I’m doing this because I truly love it, but also because I have an amazing support system that I need to provide for.

Hey, Creatives! July 2021: Surviving the Indie Scene with Candice By Candice “Ordered Steps” Johnson As many of us prepare to celebrate the day dedicated to freedom in our country, I wonder how much freedom we allow OURSELVES. The freedom to not let others disassemble our individuality. To not let anyone trample all over our dreams, because they are frightened they’re failing at their own. To run with that idea, follow what’s in our heart and dare to be DIFFERENT. Are we really fearless, or are we sacrificing what we really want to give others what they think they need? In the midst of fashioning my creativity to satisfy others’ pallets, I stifled the gifts God gave me in favor of acceptance. But when I did what GOD SAID, the entire game changed. From open doors to laying my head on my pillow at night, KNOWING I’d done the best in what He asked of me, the freedom I found in my God-ordained creativity made me SOAR. What about you? Are you free, or fumbling to fit in a mold where you clearly do not fit? As for me & my ART, I’m celebrating FREEDOM today. And that freedom begins with my pen.

Neo-Soul Sensation Interview by Teresa B. Howell Teresa B. Howell: Tell us a little bit about yourself? D. Shawn & Soul: We are a Neo-Soul singer-songwriter/producer combo. We started working together as a group in 2015 when we met at North Carolina Central University and never looked back. We both have individually and collectively collaborated with numerous artists in the industry such as 9th Wonder, Rapsody, Ty Dolla Sign, J. Cole, Musiq Soulchild and more. TBH: How long have you been in the music industry? DS: Feels like my entire life lol but I had my first opportunity on TV and radio at 9, and I really branded myself as an artist later on so I’ll say about 10-15 years for sure. TBH: What made you decide to be serious about music? SOUL: Knowing I had a gift and wanting to use it to help people. Music makes me feel on top of the world sometimes so I love being able to have that affect on other people by doing what I love. TBH: What was it like starting off your incredible career. DS: Honestly it wasn’t easy at all; A lot more no’s then yes’s for sure. But I loved the way it made me feel and others feel as well so it was only right to keep going. Being able to be mentored by people in the industry such as 9th Wonder and so many others helped mold my way of thinking, and that’s when I realized that I can control my own destiny by how hard I work and how dedicated I remain to greatness. TBH: What made you decide to pursue a career in music? SOUL: I would say I made that decision at an early age. I was always interested in instruments starting with drums, which led to me playing piano and producing as well. Being able to collaborate with the people I have so early in my career more solidified that I made the right decision. TBH: Who has the most influence on your music career and why? DS: Definitely 9th Wonder. He’s the reason why I move the way I have as an artist for the longest. So much knowledge and insight from a brilliant soul. I’m just grateful to be able to study under him as long as I did. Also every vocal coach and mentor I’ve ever had, as well as influences I grew up listening to like Musiq Soulchild, Brandy, and Tank.

TBH: Talk about the biggest failure you’ve had. What did you learn from it? SOUL: I don’t really characterize anything I’ve been through as failures; more like lessons learned. I strongly believe that it’s all in how you look at the situation you are in before you decide how to deal with it. TBH: What advice can you give new artists who want to follow in your footsteps? DS :Don’t stop. Do it alone if you have to. Move to another location, redevelop yourself if it helps. Even take a break if needed. But don’t ever stop! TBH: In your opinion, what are the benefits of being an indie artist. SOUL :The fact that I get to have complete control over my sound, who I want to be as an artist, and who I want to collaborate with. It’s a beautiful feeling. TBH: What does a typical day in the studio look like? DS: Really random sometimes. Sometimes We’ll have a specific beat and I’ll freestyle the whole song and not really write anything. Other times I’ll have an idea of what I want to write about so it’s more about matching the style musically with what I’m feeling lyrically. As a singer I draw inspiration from anything, so sometimes I’ll get on the phone watch tv or play the video game, sometimes I call some of my musician friends over to create with too.

Making An Impact In African American Literature Interview by Lissha Sadler of Hardcore Grind
Victoria Christopher Murray trailblazed the literary scene penning more than 30 novels, co-writing with other authors, and ghostwriting for top talent across the country. A few of her novels include Greed, Envy, Lust, Wrath, The Ex-Files, Lady Jasmine, The Deal, The Dance, The Devil, and Stand Your Ground, which was named a Library Journal Best Book the Year. Victoria is also the co-author of the anticipated novel The Personal Librarian, which will be released on June 29, 2021. A native of Queens, Victoria earned a B.A. in Communication Disorders from Hampton University and an MBA from New York University. She spent ten years in Corporate America before launching her entrepreneurial venture, a Financial Services Agency for Aegon, the USA, where she managed the number one division for nine consecutive years. Winner of nine African American Literary Awards for Fiction and Author of the Year (Female), she is also a four-time NAACP Image Award Nominee for Outstanding Fiction. She splits her time between Los Angeles and Washington, DC, and Victoria Christopher Murray shows no signs of slowing down. Lissha Sadler: A black woman who can write is powerful. What does the power of your pen mean to you? Victoria Christopher Murray: Oh, that’s interesting because I’m doing an event soon and the theme is “Power of the Pen”. Both two words say exactly what it means to me. See, there is power in our pen, and there is power in the words that we use our pen to write. And no one can tell our story better than we can. One of the things that I think we have to remember is when having this power that we have to remember that we have a legacy that is part of history. And we need to take that seriously because we’re leaving our present for the future. LS: How do your passion and creativity flow? VCM: Well, you know, one thing that people must know about me is that I’ve been writing full time for 20 years. Not many writers will say things like, oh, I can’t write, I have to wait for my creativity. This is my job. So, I’m a writer, just like people are teachers, just like people are doctors, just like people who have nurses. And some days I’m more productive than others. My job is to be creative. So, I don’t wait for creativity to flow. It would be like a teacher saying she has to wait for her passion before entering the classroom.
LS: Are there things that you need to do when you’re in your writing mode? VCM: No, but I’ve always had a separate room that I never use for anything but my writing. LS: You have a million things on your to-do list daily. How do you manage your time to prevent burning out? VCM: Well, the being burned out… I don’t know if I can prevent that. The first time in 20 years, about a month ago, I told ReShonda that I was really worried about myself. Because the number one thing that has become difficult for me is all the calls, texts, and requests daily. Everybody wants something from me. Then the challenge becomes if you get 50 calls a day, how do you respond to all 50 people asking you to do something for them? So that becomes a little tough, and I must remember that I’m a writer. So, one of the things that I’ve had to do was cut THE HEAT SEEKERS MAGAZINE

back on some things, like teaching writing workshops. Even though that’s something that I love. I have to be very careful about what I put on my plate. Nicole, my project manager, has been wonderful, looks at times, and spaces out many of what I do. I have learned you’ve got to take time to breathe and learn how to start saying no. LS: You are a very accomplished author, ghostwriter, and publisher, but a lot of people don’t know you write for shows as well. Tell us how this came about? Which show(s) do you write for? VCM: Yes, right now I’m only writing for ‘The Rich and The Ruthless’ with Victoria Raul, who used to play Drucilla on The Young and The Restless. That came about because she felt that I could do it, so when she asked. I told her…you kidding me? I can’t do that. She’s told me, “Yes, she can.” And I did it. I really enjoy writing with Victoria Raul. I’ve taken some scriptwriting classes because I really would like to learn that part of the business. LS: You have become a pioneer for African-American Authors in books and film. How does that make you feel? VCM: You know, I don’t think of myself as a pioneer. I am grateful that if I can open the door for other people, I’m happy with that. If I do my job well, then all I’m doing is laying the groundwork for other people. Creative things are so different, Lissha. If you are following my footsteps, make sure that you’re coming through with excellence. LS: Tell us about the vision behind the 7 Deadly Sins book series? VCM: I was going to write the series with Vicki Stringer; this was back in 2014. And I’m not kidding; within a month, that she was like, “I’m not doing this anymore.” That was when she decided to leave writing behind. But she said, “You know what, Victoria, you really should do this because it makes sense with your brand.” But because the idea wasn’t mine, I wasn’t feeling

it. So, I went on to write Stand Your Ground which was my next book. That book did very well, and I won so many different awards for it. So, when writing my next book, I was intimidated by my own success. So for the first time in my career, I didn’t have a book in 2016. I needed to find the book that was so different from Stand Your Ground because Lust came out right after Stand Your Ground so that people wouldn’t compare it. I was thinking about the full series but not thinking about the whole series. You know, I wanted to see how Lust would do. Who knew it would take me to where it is now. LS: Because you started writing that as a collab, did you have to go back to Vicki at any time? VCM: No, she didn’t write any part of it. So, I had done some of the writing with Candy Jackson. She was helping me because I had a lot of other projects on my plate. She only helped me with the first 25% of the book, so Candy did get paid for that 25%, and she got paid 25% for the movie. LS: The Lifetime movies ‘Lust’ and ‘Envy’ premiered with powerful ratings. These two movies are based on your book series, the 7 Deadly Sins. How did this movie opportunity come about? VCM: I wrote the book for the Lust before it even hit the shelves with these movies. Simon and Schuster sent it out to the media for reviews. Patrick Bass, the book editor at Essence, read “You’ve been telling me you want to get into movies. I just read a book by Victoria, Christopher Murray. It’s her most commercial book ever. You need to call her and option this book.” Shaun already had my number, so she called me up. We talked a little bit, and she tells me she read the book. Then she said, “Okay, Victoria, I want all seven books. And I said, “Shaun, how are you paying me for seven when I’ve only written one. And she said, “I know you’re going to do the rest because of your history and your reputation, but I need a second one so that I start shopping it and telling people that there will be seven.” So, I
wrote Envy, and she started shopping for them. It took her a year, and finally, the TD Jakes/Lifetime thing came together. I only had two books of the seven, and they looked at all of my past books and the quality of my work. They know the future quality would match the quality of the future books I have written. Lifetime said, “Okay, we will buy all seven if you write a third book. So, I had to write Greed before the deal with Lifetime could be done. Think about that. They bought seven books, four of which have not even been written. They knew that I would still deliver something that they would want. And so, I tell people, every book that you write lays down the track for your reputation, for your reputation in this industry. For what people are going to think and know about you. I’m most proud of the fact that they optioned books that haven’t even yet been written. LS: Let’s talk Brown Girls Books. What is the vision behind the publishing company? How many authors do you have? What is the best part about being a publisher? VCM: At that point, there weren’t very many publishers giving opportunities to new writers. When we started, ReShonda and I wanted to give opportunities to new writers. We had no idea how much work it would be. And it’s a good thing we didn’t know how much work it would be because we might not have done it if we had known. We both know this is what we’re supposed to do, but it’s not easy. And now we have 42 authors. The best part about being a publisher is giving people a chance who would have never had a chance.
for anyone to validate your gift. There are so many ways you can self-publish now, and if you get rejections, do it anyway. Do it yourself because there’s power in our pen. LS: What next for Victoria Christopher Murry, the brand, and the pen? VCM: I have a new book that I am very excited about coming out in June with Marie Benedick. It’s historical fiction. The book is called the Personal Librarian, and it’s a fictionalized story about Belle da Costa Greene’s life. She was JP Morgan’s personal librarian. And what that meant at the time as she was the person who built his art and his manuscript collection. And if you go to New York, the Morgan Library is an amazing place. And she did that 100%. So, she was this very powerful woman at the beginning of the 20th century. Women didn’t even have the right to vote, and she was one of the most powerful people in New York. But no one knew until she passed away that she was black, passing for White. And not only was she passing for white, but she also had a very famous father named Richard T Greener, who was the first black person to graduate from Harvard. So they both became famous in very different ways. This is my first time writing historical fiction, and I loved writing it. Follow: Victoria Christopher Murray http://www.victoriachristophermurray.com
LS: If you had the power to change anything about the literary industry, what would it be? VCM: I would give more power to black writers. I’m currently doing a book with a white author. And I see the difference in the way white authors and treated black authors are treated. It’s something that you know, but to see it makes me very sad. Publishing is no different than the world. And if I could change anything, I would make it equal. It’s separate, and it’s not equal. And I don’t know if it’s a function of, they don’t think we show up enough in numbers. I don’t know what it is. But it’s sad. LS: What advice do you have for aspiring authors? VCM: There are two things that writers do. Writers you read, and writers write. I don’t do editing as much anymore. But when I was editing just by the way a person writes, I can tell people who read and don’t. Reading encourages, motivates, and teaches you. And the quality, nor the quantity of the words matter, all that matters is that you’re writing. And the final thing I would say is that once you get your book out, don’t wait THE HEAT SEEKERS MAGAZINE

#Motivation to Suceed Interview by David R. Navarro
David R. Navarro: Tell us a little bit about yourself? London Marie Rose: I am originally from Mobile Alabama, I ended up in PA because my stepdad was stationed here in the military. As an Adult, I decided to stay up in PA as there are so many modeling opportunities up North. I enjoy volunteering and pageantry. DN: How long have you been in the modeling industry? LMR: I have been in the modeling industry for 2 years. This year I became serious about modeling. DN: What made you decide to be serious about modeling? LMR: I have always had a seriousness towards modeling, you can say that I took a more professional approach when I met my pageant coach. She has shown me so much about the modeling world and has been in this profession for more than 15 years. She has won so many awards and titles and has taught me so much about modeling and myself. DN: Which people or books have had the most influence on your modeling career and why? LMR: I really have been inspired by Tyra Banks’ modeling and her overall career. Another model I really enjoy is American singer, Cierra Wilson. Her modeling and how she conducts herself is very beautiful to me! I look up to her very much. DN: What would you say is the #1 key to success in the modeling industry? LMR: Never start a project you cannot finish and be teachable, because you never know what you can learn. DN: Can you give us some examples of things you are doing or have done to expand your fanbase? LMR: I network a lot through my Instagram when I’m at a fashion event. As well as with fashion groups on Facebook. People do not realize that Facebook is a good networking avenue. I’m constantly looking for ways I can network. DN: Talk about the biggest failure you’ve had. What did you learn from it? LMR: My biggest failure in this industry for me was putting my career on hold for meaningless relationships. People come and go in your life, your career is with you always.
DN: What does a typical day in your week look like? LMR: You can find me traveling for a shoot, a casting call or a pageant. I enjoy volunteering when I’m not working or shopping or in nature exercising. DN: What keeps you going when things get tough in the business? LMR: I always ask myself, where do i see myself 10 years from now, which in 10 years I will be 30 years old. I do not want to look back and think of what I could have done, you can’t take time back, so I want to excel and go as far as I can with my career. DN: Is there anything else you’d like us to know about you? LMR: My goal and aspiration is to one day create my own modeling agency and have my own photography studio. Instagram: Not_Your_Typical_Beauty You can also find me on Facebook as London Marie Rose. Photography by Robert Wolf @gods_earth_studios MUA by Janaya Smith
DN: What advice can you give other young men and women who want to follow in your footsteps? LMR: Don’t get discouraged if you feel a project isn’t turning out right, take a step back and take a break. Come back to the project, finish it or start over. Never accept anything less, below standard and what your beliefs are. If something doesn’t sit well with you, go with your gut feeling. Always be honest. THE HEAT SEEKERS MAGAZINE

Rhythm and Views Show Interview by David R. Navarro
David R. Navarro: Tell us a little bit about yourselves? Your music? R&V: (Tarius) I’m a father and an entrepreneur. My business ventures are video production, music and airbnb. I am someone who loves life, nature, his kids and his relationship. I consider myself a big kid. I like to call myself a very “cool” nerd lol I enjoy cartoons, super heroes and comic books. I also have a big passion for music. Over the years I’ve been in r&b groups, done various solo projects and many collaborations with other independent artists. I like to call my style “Feel Good “ music. I love music that gets you excited and feeling good. DN: How long have you guys been in the music industry? R&V: Both of us have been in the game for decades. DN: What made you decide to be serious about music? R&V: I think for both of us it was a passion that started at birth and was even more heavily influenced by the greats like Micheal Jackson, Stevie wonder, Donny Hathaway and even Usher and Chris Brown. DN: Tell us about “Rhythm & Views”. How did it all get started? R&V: The Rhythm and Views show promotes class, style, and a voice to the R&B community through music and video. We also strive to honor R&B music legends and promote their musical accomplishments and to also use our platform to create opportunities for up and coming artists within the R&B community. Originally it started off as a way to not only expose our talent, but our close network of friends and business owners. DN: Which people or books have had the most influence on each of your music careers and why? R&V: (Tarius) well like many other artists, i was heavily influenced by Micheal Jackson then as a teenager coming up I loved artists like Usher, Donnell Jones and Dru Hill. DN: Can you give us some examples of things you are doing or have done to expand your audience? R&V: (Tarius)The Rhythm & Views show is the number one way we are trying to expand our audience. I also do collaborations with other artists form time-to-time.
DN: Talk about the biggest failure you’ve had. What did you learn from it? R&V: I think i can speak for both of us when i say that i don’t think we have had any failures but more life lessons. D Morris has had dealings in the industry and deals that didn’t pan out and I myself have been a part of groups that separated and label deals that didn’t work. Those situations can either make you or break you and both us in our own ways have been too strong to quit. You could say over time we have reinvented ourselves. DN: What does a typical day in your week look like? (Tarius) I literally just said “Oh God” reading this question. lol. For me the short answer would be juggling all my business ventures. I am the producer, editor, promoter, talent coordinator and graphics designer for the Rhythm & Views show. That in itself is a monster. lol. I also help run a local airbnb, i work to get my video business Ram Vision Videos off the ground and sporadically produce my own music on the side. D Morris works about 6-7 days a week performing at local bars, restaurants and clubs and selling his own line of scented oils all while producing his own music on the side. What keeps you going when things get tough in the business? R&V: I think for both of us it’s the love and the passion that keeps us going for sure. Get Lit With King Interview by King Brooks
I first came to know of Princess through Victoria Christopher Murray when they co-wrote a book together. It has been great watching her grow from being an author to owning her own bookstore. King Brooks: Hi Princess, How are you? Princess Gooden: I’m doing great! Thank you for the opportunity. It’s a blessing. KB: Please give the readers a brief bio on you as a person and author? PG: Author/writer, the Truth Heals Hurt Guru, motivational speaker, blogger, and Flipping Books & Stuff Bookstore owner. My favorite titles are child of God, wife and mother. KB: Please tell the readers about your bookstore Flipping Books & Stuff? PG: Flipping Books and Stuff (FB&S) is a family owned online bookstore that originated out of a passion for reading and sharing that same aspiration with others. The intent of FB&S is to supply new and used books to online customers at a discounted rate, facilitating their love for reading by offering more affordable prices than mainstream outlets. It consists of a vast inventory of new and used books from an array of genres and authors. I use all of the proceeds to help others. KB: Where did the idea for Flipping Books & Stuff come from? PG: I imagined the world with me doing everything I like. I saw myself working in a bookstore, meeting people everyday and writing during breaks. Books made me think I could have that life. I created that world for myself, so I thought. After making my first sale one of the pastors on Ebeye asked if I would be interested in assisting a child with their educational needs. He explained that the public schools were overcrowded, and the churches were stepping in. I was happy to assist. From that day on, I thought of ways to keep assisting. KB: Please tell the readers about your philanthropy that is tied to Flipping Books & Stuff? PG: So far we’ve paid for 15 students to go to private school on Ebeye in the Marshall Islands, provided 73 bibles (with other donations) to prisoners in different states, created a library in two children’s homes in Georgia, and donated books to local organizations in Newnan, Ga.
KB: What are your goals, hopes, and dreams for Flipping Books & Stuff? PG: To open a brick & mortar, and make enough money to send at least 10 kids to school in Ebeye, while providing opportunities to flip books in my local community. I’ve passed by this place for several years and always wanted to try it. Handi Indian Cuisine is located right on Main Street in downtown Greenville South Carolina on the upper end. I love different food cultures and seasonings. A friend invited me and so I had the experience of trying and it was very nice. The atmosphere was pleasant and quiet. The lighting was right and it felt very warming to be in the room of the Indian culture. The food was delightful. I had the chicken Jalfrezi that consisted of tender boneless chicken cooked in butter red sauce with green peppers, green tomatoes, onions, herbs and spices. It was served with long grain basmati rice and mint chutney. The flavor was delicious mixed with a glass of California red wine and pita bread. Also, served was the chicken tikka Masala that was roasted in the restaurants’ clay oven then simmered in a tomato and cream sauce. The whole meal was delicious. Of course, Indian food has the heat added but it was bearable and very good. The server was Indian herself, and offered to adjust the spice to my liking. She was also very helpful with my selection choice. I definitely will be back. The price for dinner was a little high with the wine with the cost about $30 with tip. However, I found out if you visit during lunch hours, they have a reasonable price for the buffet for $12.95 so you can try different selections at a great price. I highly recommend Indian food if you’ve never tried it before. If you’re ever in Greenville South Carolina, let me know and I will visit with you. “Tasteful Tips & Trips with Robin” is not just an ordinary food blog! It’s about fun, adventure, and a lot of tasty foods as I travel to places along this journey road called life. I am all about traveling and experimenting with food flavors and the mixtures of them. So what better way to spread the word to others about places that I visit and help promote businesses!
If you would like for me to visit your venue or restaurant please email me at R.Shockley18@gmail.com the name of your restaurant and location. You may just see me show up unexpectedly one day with my big smile and readily appetite! THE HEAT SEEKERS MAGAZINE
