Limited Time Offers inspired by an

Old Italian Tradition Italians anticipate great food to come as we enter the month of December. The Italian meal the evening before Christmas is typically an extravagant seafood feast called The Feast of the Seven Fishes. The tradition was introduced in the United States by Southern Italian immigrants in New York City's Little Italy in the late 1800s. It dates back from the Roman Catholic tradition of abstaining from eating meat on the night before a feast day. Typical seven fishes generally include calamari, scungilli, baccala or dry-salted cod, shrimp, clams, mussels and one large fish — a snapper, trout, tuna or salmon. Fried vegetables are also a popular pairing to the fish, as well as fried artichokes and pickled vegetables. Consider adding some limited time menu items that are inspired by The Feast of the Seven Fishes: Clams Oreganata
