QUEEN ELIZABETH II 1926 - 2022
REFLECTS ON THE LIFE OF HM QUEEN ELIZABETH II Residents and dignitaries across the Borough of Mid and East Antrim recently came together to mourn the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and to celebrate her life of duty, dedication and service to the nation. As a Borough steeped in Royal history with strong links to the Monarchy, Mid and East Antrim reflected on, and give thanks for, her exceptional life, through a number of church services and events. These included a Service of Remembrance and Thanksgiving at First Larne Presbyterian Church; A Special Commemoration Service at Holy Trinity Church in Carrickfergus and a Church Service of Thanksgiving at St Patrick’s Church in Ballymena. In addition, there were public screenings of the State Funeral in Ballymena, Carrickfergus and Larne and a poignant service in Ballymena’s Memorial Park. The Proclamation of the Accession of His Majesty King Charles III was also read at Carrickfergus Castle.
