Applicants must be female and have a minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.5 or higher. Eligibility under this program is not based on AAAE membership. Recipients will be selected based on gender, academic achievements and records, financial need, participation in school and community activities, and submission of a personal statement. Students may only receive a Women in Aviation Scholarship twice (does not have to be consecutive years).

It also provides the skill needed to fly all sorts of private and commercial helicopter missions that require off-airport landings anywhere in the country. Scholarship Criteria The applicant must be a helicopter pilot with at least a private certificate/license. She must be a member in good standing at the time of application submission, award of scholarship, and during scholarship training, and must be active, current on their annual dues.
