Entrevista . Interview Antonio Orozco

Es uno de los cantantes nacionales más reconocidos. Con una trayectoria de más de 20 años nos visita en el marco del festival Lazareto el día 7 de agosto.

¿Es tu primera actuación en Menorca? No, y soy afortunado, porque ya van unas cuantas veces que tengo la oportunidad de actuar en la isla y recibir el cariño del público menorquín.

Agradezco la oportunidad de volver este año a un festival como el Lazareto Festival, y por supuesto, espero volver muchas, muchas veces más.

¿Habías venido antes de vacaciones?

¿Y quién no ha venido alguna vez a Menorca? No sé si lo sabes, pero soy un enamorado del mar, tengo predilección por las islas, en especial por las que son tan especiales y con tantos rincones por descubrir, como Menorca.

Is this your first performance in Menorca? No, I am fortunate because I've had the opportunity to perform in Menorca several times before and receive the affection of the Menorcan audience.

I am grateful for the chance to return to the Lazareto Festival this year, and of course, I hope to come back many, many more times.

Have you visited Menorca before for vacations? Who hasn't been to Menorca at least once? I don't know if you're aware, but I'm in love with the sea, and I have a preference for islands, especially those that are so special and have so many hidden corners, like Menorca.

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de la isla?

Si digo el queso Mahón-Menorca no seré muy original ¿no? Ahora en serio, la isla te ofrece tanto, que es imposible quedarse con una sola.

Menorca tiene historia, gastronomía, playas y calas en las que perderte, y sobre todo, una gente maravillosa. Como te digo, no se puede elegir solo una.

¿Qué esperas de este concierto?

Espero que la gente esté preparada, porque vamos a darle la vuelta al festival, hemos preparado un show muy especial, con grandes canciones, grandes músicos, pero no os puedo contar más, tenéis que venir a verlo.

¿Hacia dónde se dirige tu carrera?

Mi carrera está en un momento que ni en mis mejores sueños hubiera podido imaginar. No paramos de trabajar, hace pocas semanas lancé mi último single “La Revolución” y seguimos preparando cosas nuevas. Estoy agradecido por todo lo bueno que me ha sucedido estos años, y seguro de que aún queda mucho por venir.

What do you like the most about the island?

If I say Mahón-Menorca cheese, I won't be very original, right? Seriously though, the island offers so much that it's impossible to pick just one thing. Menorca has history, gastronomy, beaches, and coves to get lost in, and above all, wonderful people. As I said, you can't choose just one.

What do you expect from this concert?

I hope people are ready because we're going to turn the festival upside down. We've prepared a very special show with great songs and great musicians, but I can't reveal more; you'll have to come and see it.

Where is your career heading?

My career is at a point that I couldn't have imagined even in my wildest dreams. We don't stop working, and just a few weeks ago, I released my latest single "La Revolución," and we're still preparing new things. I'm grateful for all the good things that have happened to me over the years, and I'm sure there is still much more to come.
