Very rare map of the Turkish Empire engraved by P. Starckman, extending from Italy and the Eastern Mediterranean in the west to the Caspian Sea and Persia in the East and from the Ukraine and Hungary in the north to the Gulf of Arabia in the south. This highly detailed map is centered on Cyprus, presents contemporary toponyms and includes a 24 line informative text referring to the possessions of the Ottomans in the world and the Ottoman administrative divisions. Partly outline colouring. Spotting, one bumped spot (north of Sanaa), printer’s paper creasing.
