DepEd-Siargao delivers UNICEF response items to HS, elementary school
The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Siargao turned over the learning kits and the temporary learning spaces (TLSs) from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to the two identified badly-hit implementing schools for the limited face-to-face classes in Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte province, namely the Sapao National High School in Sta. Monica town and Mabuhay Elementary

School in Pilar town on January 17-18, respectively. Sapao National High School received two sets of 72m2 rectangular TLS, 109 sets of student kits, three sets of teacher’s kits, and two boxes of school-in-a-box, while Mabuhay Elementary School received one set of TLS, 47 sets of student kits, five sets of teacher’s kits, and one box of school-in-a-box.
SDO-Siargao tapped the assistance of the 30th Infantry Battalion (30IB) and PVT Jaireh L. Donio for the transportation of the said materials and for the installation of the PLSs. During the on-site visit, Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) Dr. Nelia S. Lomocso asked about the conditions of the teachers and the school facilities after the onslaught of the Caraga INFOCUS
