An already complex object becomes still more mysteriously fascinating. KERBEDANZ engendre des gardes-temps qui sont l’expression de la vie de ses clients. Un travail de co-création entre le client, les designers et un symboliste historien, permet de faire vivre les légendes sur le poignet du client. Kalust Zorik, co-Founder & director, explique « Nous confectionnons des gardes-temps pour des personnes qui cherchent leur reflet en eux. Pour s’apercevoir dans une pièce horlogère, il y a un travail d’écoute du client et de son histoire. Ensuite les recherches de nos designers et de notre symboliste réunis vont faire naître en 8 à 12 semaines un émetteur riche de symboles. » KERBEDANZ sublime la vision du monde de ses clients tout en exprimant sa propre vision. Le tourbillon volant MAXIMUS, 27mm de diamètre, est le plus grand tourbillon du monde. Au cœur de ce garde-temps se joue un spectacle éblouissant, celui de la perfection de la micro-mécanique. How many people can say they are wearing their own personal legend on their wrist? KERBEDANZ makes timepieces that encapsulate their clients’ life experiences. Creating one of these watches is a joint process: the brand’s designers work closely with a historian of symbols to interpret the customer’s personality and life-story. Co-founder and director of KERBEDANZ Kalust Zorik explains how it works: “We create timepieces for people who want their watch to reflect them. For a customer to be able to recognize themselves in a timepiece, first we need to meet them and hear their story. Then our designers and our historian work together to research suitable symbols. Each watch design is richly layered in meaning, and takes eight to twelve weeks to develop.” As well as producing superb interpretations of its clients’ life philosophies, KERBEDANZ makes watches that express its own vision. At the heart of its MAXIMUS wristwatch is the biggest flying tourbillon of any
wristwatch in the world, with a cage diameter of 27 mm - an irresistible invitation to contemplate the mesmerizing spectacle of micro-mechanical perfection, as the wheels and springs execute their stately dance. MAXIMUS means “greatest”, and the grandeur of this timepiece takes us back to the greatest Roman circus of all, the Circus Maximus, between the Palatine and the Aventine hills.
