Welcome to the summer! This month we are looking at all the fun ways to chill out and keep the peace. Consider some new ways to reduce stress on your physical body by taking care of it with moments of rest and care. Look at how you can relieve some of the mental stress through exercise, meditation and mindfulness. Bring some calm to any restlessness you may feel with the help of reconnecting with the earth, those around you and yourself. This month for the remainder of the summer season, we encourage you to focus on creating peace for yourself through the practices you implement into your daily life.

Sometimes we just need to chill out and take it from 100 to at least 60 as quick as we can. Other times we catch ourselves before we get to 100 but still need a calm down activity that snaps us out of it Sometimes it really is something so simple and seemingly small that does the trick or at least gets us turned in the right direction. The following are a few ideas you may enjoy
Getting extra oxygen that is cleaner and more pure is always a benefit, but more so in times of stress. It reduces levels of our stress hormone, cortisol and helps regulate our levels of serotonin and promote happiness and well being.
This can be as short as a few minutes. The chill from the water signals to your brain to release endorphins, the feel good hormone and it also helps with calming thanks to the cool water’s effects on circulation and hormones If not available, try just taking cold water to your face. This has a similar effect.
COOLORCOLDSHOWERThis is a way to connect you to your 5 senses - sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch and bring your attention and focus to the present moment through your senses and away from the stress at hand The idea is to find something in your vicinity that engages each of the senses and really focus on them, either by talking about them out loud, in your head or writing it down. It’s ideal to start with what you see and touch, as they tend to be the easiest or quickest to access Remember to breathe through it, calmly and with intention
What do you see? Maybe the building in front of you, a flower, a statue or decor item. Focus on all details of it, from texture to colour to anything about it you can admire or appreciate
What can you touch? It could be your own skin. Rub your arm or hands, for example. Or feel your muscles. Are they tense or clenched?
What can you hear? Maybe it’s as simple as the wind outside or birds or people’s chatter or music
What can you smell? You can keep essential oil/s handy and work with those for this.
What can you taste? Enjoy something light and delicious and focus on the taste and texture as you eat it, slow and mindfully
The following oils have amazing properties that help in calming, relaxing and cooling us down on all levels, not just physical. Included are a few ways to use them.
Apply it with a carrier oil to different areas on your skin, such as the top of your head, temples, back of the neck or wrists. Add a few drops to your body wash or use a body wash with the oil/s in it.
Add a few drops to your bath or a diffuser. Make a room and/or body spray with filtered water, a few drops of the oil/s and anything else you desire.
Use during meditation or times of stress - inhale the aroma through deep, steady breaths.

As we move towards completing the first half of this year with the month of June, the Guides are sending a message encouraging you to write.
For some of you this is a literal message to write. They sense that there are some of you out there with a story or a book living within you., tThis is your sign to go forward and start putting ink to paper or keystrokes to the screen. Whether your book gets on a best seller list, or even published, is irrelevant., tThe important thing is the healing and/or growth that will come as a result of bringing your story out of you.
For some of you the message is to write out your issues and challenges on paper. Observe the story you are telling.? Is this the story you want to be true? Is there room for you to make edits to the story and ultimately edits to yourself? The Guides are encouraging you to physically write out one of your challenging issues and edit the story into the one you desire. By seeing it in writing with an open mind willing to receive clarity, you will see opportunities to make changes on paper that can manifest into changes in your life.
For some of you, the message is to consider journaling on a daily basis. The Guides are seeing many of you with soooo many thoughts rolling around in your head, keeping you from clarity. By putting your thoughts and feelings into a journal you declutter your being and make room for clarity and new ideas.
The month of June offers an opportunity to turn things around in a big way, leading you onto the path towards what you truly wish to create. This can strongly affect the way that the rest of the year plays out for you.
