World Heritage Day 2021
When it comes to culture and heritage, Hyderabad is in abundance. Hyderabad was ruled by Mughals who have impacted the community of today which practices their culture. The Nizams built palaces, forts, mosques and tombs. Their designs are eloquent and bring a lot of Persian styles. However today we are taking a different turn to Hyderabad’s Heritage by talking about the widely believed notions that these sites live with.
Charminar
When we talk about heritage Charminar, A FAMOUS LANDMARK OF HYDERABAD, it comes at the tip of the list for its beautiful structure and awestruck designs. Many citizens of Hyderabad believe that there’s a hidden treasure in the walls of Charminar, as well as in the secret tunnel that leads to Golconda Fort. it is also believed that Charminar was constructed by a Nizam for his lover, who a dancer and used to perform in his darbar.
Paigah Tombs
Paigah Tombs are the tombstones of the loyalists of the Nizams. Many believe that due to its abandonment, negligence and less human contact, the place attracts supernatural attention.
Qutub Shahi Tombs
Seven Tomb or famously called Saath Gummath in Hyderabad consist of mosques and graves of many rulers from the Qutb Shahi period. Although the great monument attracts many tourists to the site, many residents avoid visiting the place due to the tombstones, it has been said that people hear weird sounds and noises after 6 PM. 52 APRIL, 2021 TULIP
